Band of Bachelors: Lucas Special Operator Lucas Shipley thought his living arrangement was temporary, since getting booted from the house by his wife. He sleeps on a couch in the apartment with four other divorced Navy SEALs, thinking he’ll get the call to come home any day. He ignores the not-so-helpful advice his buddies are giving him about marriage, women and romance. Until he gets served with divorce papers. Realtor Marcy Gelland is hired by Lucas’ soon-to-be ex-wife to liquidate all their real estate holdings and help her orchestrate a speedy departure from Lucas’ life. Based on what the hot-headed SEAL wife has told her, Marcy understands Lucas deserves every ounce of pain coming his way. But when Marcy and Lucas are left alone together in a remote Northern California woods, they ignite a personal bonfire that threatens to burn down the whole forest. Marcy is forced to see she is wrong about Lucas. Amidst the backdrop of hardened bachelor SEALs with their unsolicited, anti-long-term relationship advice, and a terrorist training camp operating nearby, Lucas must do what he’s always done: be the hero and save the day. But will it be in time to save Marcy?
Band of Bachelors: Alex Adrenaline junkie and Navy SEAL Alex Kowicki is one of four bachelor SEALs trying to navigate his successful military career while achieving his goals as a first class connoisseur of beautiful women. He isn’t ready to jump back into anything but his free falls, HALO drops or his missions overseas. He trusts his buddies to fix him up with another blind date that won’t be as dangerous as his last ones. But Sydney Robinson has other plans. A beach volleyball player who can spike better than most men, and block with explosive speed to defend her side of the net, she executes a series of events to include stalking the handsome SEAL all the way to Sonoma County wine country, and delivering his carcass to her bed. Having achieved her first goal, she sets about to become a pro AVP player. When duty calls and Alex is pulled back to Iraq to complete a failed mission, neither expects to find that the real danger is lurking very much close to home. But this fight might cost one of them their lives.
Band of Bachelors: Jake Navy SEAL Jake Green wakes up in the Honeymoon Suite at the Desert Oasis Motel in Las Vegas and can’t remember how he got there. But that’s not the only thing he doesn’t remember. A bachelor, his left hand now sports a gold wedding ring.
Band of Bachelors: Jake2 Navy SEAL Jake Green comes home from deployment to a family in turmoil. With the recent death of his father, his ex-wives, mother and brother are thrown into a snakepit left by his father’s poor choices. Jake and Ginger attempt to strengthen their marriage and young family amidst a dangerous deployment to Baja California. Jake’s got alimony and child support, a blown up will he’s the executor of, illegitimate siblings and a Mexican General gunning for him. It’s one thing to come home in one piece from a SEAL mission. But which mission is more dangerous?
This boxset contains four books from the Band of Bachelors: SEAL Brotherhood series, telling the stories of Lucas, Alex, and Jake who gets two stories.
Special Operator Lucas Shipley has been kicked out of his family home by his wife Connie, who wrongly believes he cheated on her when he and other SEALs were away at a bachelor party and photos were taken of him in a compromising position, that were posted online and seen by his wife. She refuses to even listen to him and takes a hard line, sending him divorce papers just weeks later and starting proceedings to sell their family home, whilst he is having to bunk up with some other divorced SEALs, on their lumpy couch! He kept thinking that she would cool down and let him come back, especially with their two young kids she hasn’t even let him see! His buddies try to give him lots of advice about women, marriage and more romance, but he isn’t really paying any attention. When his wife’s realtor, Marcy Gelland, calls him to gets his signature for the contract to sell the house, he is also asked about an old family hunting cabin that had been in his family for about a hundred years, and also his parent’s house which he had inherited. It seems like his soon to be ex-wife is out to get as much as she can from him and then will also run him dry from his salary for maintenance as well. She is finding her meetings and calls to Connie becoming very difficult to handle as Connie is very angry and twisted in her opinion of her husband and not very kind to her own children. She wants Marcy to go and value the other two properties, so they can be put up for sale quickly, so Marcy advises Lucas to get a lawyer as soon as possible!
Lucas had gone up to his family cabin to get away for a few days, whilst Marcy made her way up to Sonoma County to see the cabin, but also visit her friend Devon, a realtor and husband Nick, a former SEAL.. When she comes calling at the cabin, he is already there and the two get hot and heavy, even though they really shouldn’t. Amongst all of this, Lucas is suddenly called away on a mission in the States, with threats being made by a terrorist group against SEAL Team 3 and 5 members and even their families. Apparently large numbers of terrorists have been getting into the States and are running terrorist training camps operating nearby. Marcy is asked to drive his truck back to San Diego with some of his belongs from the cabin and was supposed to wait and take Nick with her to do so. She didn’t listen and ended up lost on the way back to Devon’s, coming across some nearby neighbours who seemed to probably be growing weed or hiding something. When Nick makes her go back to the cabin with him, they find it has been broken into and luckily Marcy already has any valuables, including his extensive grab bag of weapons, in his truck as instructed! What they don’t know is that Marcy and Lucas were being watched the previous day, having sex, by one of these neighbours and he is part of one of these terrorist cells! When Marcy returns to stay with Devon and Nick after problems at work because of Connie, she comes back under his evil eyes and is placed in danger. Lucas and the team are watching a much larger group of terrorists at a training camp in Tennessee, when one of the women liaising with them, Donna, ends up missing as do some silly teen girls, who don’t know what they were walking into! Just as the team are tasked with saving one of their own, plus these silly teens, Marcy ends up in her own personal nightmare as she is taken in Sonoma County.
Alex Kowicki is a bit of an adrenaline junkie, loving to go and jump out of an airplane, and currently lives with three other confirmed bachelors, happy to go on a long line of blind dates set up by his fellow SEALs. He isn’t interested in any sort of relationship and is quite happy with the status quo. His latest blind date is Sydney Robinson, who is a professional beach volleyball player and once she meets him, she has a bit of a different plan for him. All his pals are there as she enters, but leave once they make fun of him for a minute or two. Her childhood made her a very determined and solo person, not having a great relationship with her mother and losing her father only two years after moving to live with him as her mother’s life became too erratic. She has carried this solo determination to be the best at her sport, into her love life as well, finding it difficult to have anyone understand her. Their date gets to a very strange point as they watch a zombie movie and she has a bit of a sugar rush, which you need to read yourself to understand fully! That almost has him dropping her before they even get to have sex, but she manages to save the night at the last minute. The two are explosive together and he has definitely met his match, but didn’t see it going anywhere except a bit of fun! He ends up away to Sonoma County with a bunch of other SEALs who are looking at a neighbouring vineyard to Devon and Nick. The owner has just died and the SEALs reckon they could make it a business venture for lots of them and some friendly investors from family and friends. Those that can, travel up to Devon and Nick’s winery and lavender farm, who take them around and help them realise what needs doing on the property, then putting an offer in for them.
Sydney is currently looking for a new partner for future beach volleyball competitions after her current partner got injured. When an old college friend, Carly, calls her and wants to visit, it gives her the perfect opportunity to be a bit of a stalker and follow Alex to wine country. Carly works in Santa Rosa at a fantastic gym with coaching opportunities that Sydney could be employed to do, which would give them access to all the training facilities they could need and plenty of time as well. One she signs up, she goes back to San Diego and packs up her home, moving everything to an apartment she manages to find. She has her plans for the next year and is focused on making it to the AVP circuit with Carly. Alex has his focus on the SEAL Teams, with a chance to try out for an even more exclusive role suddenly being offered to him! Just as they reconnect in wine country, the team are suddenly called to a mission in Iraq, to complete a previous failed mission which involved young orphan Ali and a SEAL’s promise. Alex had told Sydney to watch her back and to warn her friend Carly about the dangers recently near the winery and a small group of terrorists. Sydney gets involved in her coaching role, setting up a programme bringing in lots of young females from the migrant population as well as those unable to afford the coaching fees, getting local businesses to help fund it. Whilst Alex is away on further training, he decides he must distance himself from Sydney if he wants this opportunity, as it would be unfair to drag her along when he wouldn’t have time for her or a relationship. He wants to break this to her in person, but while he was dragging his feet to come and see her, she got some unexpected news of her own, which could change everything for her future plans! When he finally comes to see her, she can tell something has changed, but one thing that hasn’t is their sexual chemistry together. He asks to see her playing in her skimpy tournament outfit and so she takes him to the gym facility, where unbeknown to either of them, a dangerous and potentially deadly situation is brewing. Only some clear thinking and a slight delay, leaves one of them in a position to do something to save lives!
Jake Green is described as a SEAL with a child in every port, a bit like the late Gunny who would marry the women he loved, but never bothered to get a divorce before moving onto the next woman he would marry. Jake’s first marriage was to Ginger and he had two daughters with her, Jennifer and Jasmine, until she thought he had cheated on her and let him go. Surprisingly, he was married only months later to Karlene, with another child, Aaron, on the way, before going onto Monica, who he had a baby, Samantha with and as just getting over, but at least hadn’t made the mistake of marrying. When his brother Gerud gets him to go to Las Vegas with him for a weekend, he wakes up the next day in one of the bridal suites with a wedding ring on his finger and no idea how it got there! He can’t remember anything, not even who he might be married to, but his drinking has become excessive, a bit like his father, so it’s not that huge of a surprise. But finding himself naked and tied to the bed certainly was! Gerud gets him some clothes and they try to carry on their weekend, only to have his ex-Ginger and her best friend Karen turn up at the show that evening in seats right in front of them! Ginger had never stopped loving Jake and he thinks he is useless at trying to handle the women and feels he is only good at looking after his four children. Coming back from missions leaves him in a certain frame of mind and he couldn’t talk to his wives about what happened, only his fellow SEALs can truly understand, and he would end up spending too much time with them instead of his wife or children.
Jake doesn’t really like spending any time with his parents, their marriage is cold and neither shows much of any love towards Jake or his brother Gerud. He also has issues with Gerud, who thinks their father favours Jake and always has. His father Burt Green was a workaholic, heavy drinker and womaniser and this was all catching up on him. He had fathered a child, Belinda, with another woman, and she is now working in his office with him! But his wife Adele has her own secrets from the past and Burt has just found out about it all. His business is failing due to a really bad investment Gerud had taken out on behalf of Burt’s company. Now his business is failing and his reputation starting to fall apart. Jake and his team are pulled on a mission to Mexico and suddenly find the men they are watching are trafficking young girls, they have to take action immediately and it ends with an unfortunate death Jake blames himself for. Meanwhile Gerud seems to be mixing things up with Monica and is even seeing Belinda. He seems to want to mess with Jake getting back with Ginger, even though he was the one that planned the weekend to Vegas with Ginger and came up with all the plans. Does he want Ginger for himself? He has certainly always been jealous of Jake and how much Burt has favoured him. He tries to push Monica and her baby on Jake, even when Jake makes it plain he is interested in getting Ginger and his kids back in his life. Just as Burt wants to change things up due to what he has discovered and who he blames his failing business on, tragedy occurs and everything is thrown up in the air. All whilst Jake is in seclusion on his latest mission.
Jake arrives home after his latest mission to find his father’s last minute decisions causing more eruptions within the family and with his ex-wives, well only really two ex-wives and one who was just a baby mother. Gerud is still acting oddly and spending a lot of time visibly with Monica, whilst still questioning Jake being with Ginger! A funeral is held and at the will reading, a whole new can of worms is opened, leaving Jake as the executor and secrets exploding all over the place. He is due to go out on another dangerous mission in Mexico, where a certain General is gunning for him. Add in the attempts to bring his exes and children all together, and matters are certainly going to end up in a mess. Then there is Gerud and Adele’s added good fortune in relation to Rob Peterson and what he will do about it all. Jake throws a going away party at his parent’s home, a tradition the teams usually do down at the beach, to be able to arrange a surprise in front of everyone important to him. A mission to bring back a US citizen and ex-Navy man selling off Navy weapons, ends up with Jake hauled off by General Cortez and a surprising find in a cell. As with most countries where law enforcement and others work on a bribery system, only money and goods will do, to save the day! Gerud gets to make good on something for the first time and helps Jake out, whilst he is final getting proper instruction on business dealings by Rob and actually learning a thing or two. Adele is certainly happier and the family home is used to reunite all of Jake’s exes, as well as a welcome home for the whole team and their families. Something good has finally come out of a family tragedy, but a weight is still being held over Jake and Kyle’s heads by a certain General and he has one more part of his deal to make come true! Whoever the lucky SEAL may be! Jake definitely needed two stories to deal with the before and after of certain events and thankfully has now made a good decision about Ginger and she agrees. Their family is expanding and hopefully they have all learnt lessons after his father’s demise, on how to live happily and not work too hard.
A fun series to read and the more you do, the more you see the SEALs and their families lives progress, no matter what happens to them and others. The brotherhood and the supportive wives and girlfriends, will never leave anyone to suffer alone. Once in, you are in for life! I look forward to reading lots more that I have yet to discover and experience a few more adventures with these characters. I received an ARC copy of this boxset from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the books above.
Lucas: When Navy SEAL Lucas Shipley was shown the door to the home he shared with his wife Connie and their two children, he told himself it would only be temporarily. Only when he was served with divorce papers did it sink in that she was serious. Intending to sell all the property she can, Connie signs a contract with realtor Marcie Jones, hands her a card with Lucas’s phone information and leaves her with getting him to sign his name to the contract. Determined to check out his properties, she drives to Sonoma County and finds him at the hunting cabin he inherited where she discovered he is not the loser Connie described. Shortly afterwards Lucas has to leave on a mission to find out what is going on in some of the training camps around the US. In reality, men have been kidnapping women on US soil and using them to help their young men get to heaven. Unfortunately, Marcy becomes involved in a training camp closer to home and it’s up to Lucas and their friends Nick and Darcy to find her in time. Alex: Alex always looked forward to Friday for when his SEAL team loved to set him up with a blind date. This week’s lady of choice, Sydney started out a little crazy and it was almost over before it started. He was glad it didn't though because it turns out, she is the perfect match in the sack for him. The only problem is they both have careers going in completely different directions and they both know what they want. Alex and his team are looking to buy and work an abandoned winery in Sonoma for when they leave the Navy while Sydney’s goal is to be a professional volleyball player. This book may start out with a blind date and them getting hot between the sheets first but as they get to know each other, they become more than friends with benefits. Jake and Jake2: Navy SEAL Jake Green can’t say no to a woman. That’s why when his first wife Ginger kicked him out of the home they shared with his two daughters, he didn’t fight to stay. Even though he later married and divorced Karlene before having a son and then had a daughter after living with Monica, his heart belonged to Ginger and all four of his children. Jake’s drinking has been getting out of hand and he has basically been informed his days as a SEAL are numbered unless he gets his head in the game and leaves the booze behind. He takes a trip to Las Vegas with his brother Gerud trying to get himself together. The last thing Jake remembers is getting a message before waking tied up in his own bed with a wedding ring on his finger with no recollection of how he got there. Ginger waited five years for Jake to be single again so she could try to bring him back home to her and their girls. Living with a SEAL was an experience she didn’t know how to handle when they were married. Now she realizes there are things that can’t be shared and she has to learn to trust Jake when he comes back from a mission in different moods depending on the details of the outcome. Jake’s father passes while he is on a mission leaving him as executor of his will. He knew his dysfunctional family was different, he just didn’t know how bad. Stretched almost to his limit, he has to deal with a SEAL mission gone wrong, his father’s death, reconnecting with Ginger and being sent back out with his team to finish their mission, he finds himself in a Mexican jail. There is a lot going on with Jake and Jake2 but it takes both books to tell the whole story. I love that the author continues to take real life circumstances when writing her books. The reader can actually see these things happening.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Band of Brothers: Lucas What an exciting book! Lucas was part of a Seal’s team who was married to a crazy woman named Connie. I thought it was so odd that he wanted to stay with a woman who was so awful to others and her children. Connie contacted Marcy who was a realtor at an upscale brokerage in Coronado to sell their properties. Connie had scathing things to say about Lucas that Marcy later found out were untrue. Marcy lost her head and ended up getting together with Lucas just before he had to go on a op in the US where they found one of the places the Afghanistans had a camp to take down some seals. While Lucas was away, he couldn’t tell Marcy what was happening, and they hadn’t been together long enough for her to really know how Seal teams worked. Things were going south for Marcy and Lucas got blamed. Also, some bad things were going on in Tennessee that kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved the story and strongly encourage you to read it. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.
Band of Brothers: Alex Alex’s buddies set him up with a blind date and thought they were so funny. Sydney was a volleyball player and was a few inches taller than Alex. I loved that the joke was on his buddies as the two were on fire together. Alex and his buddies went up to Sonoma country to look into buying a winery near their friends. Sydney made her way up there too so she could meet with Carly to see about becoming volleyball partners. I was glad this gave Sydney and Alex more time to get to know each other. Alex and his team had some action out of the country. Sydney worried about him, but could do nothing about it. I was so glad Alex was back in town with Sydney as something terrible happened. I encourage you to read the book. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.
Band of Brothers: Jake Jake was a little out of control with his drinking and his LT wanted him to get some help. I was glad to see that his first wife, Ginger wanted to get back with him. Sometimes we know we are doing the wrong thing, but too immature to fix it. Jake had another ex wife with one child and another child that he didn’t marry the mother. I know there were times he wondered why he had gone on the wrong path. I could see why Jake was the way he was with a father that showed him the wrong things about being a man. When Jake went on a mission in Mexico, he had to leave Ginger and the girls when they were trying to get back together. It got even worse when his father had to go in the hospital. I was so proud of Ginger and how strong she was for his family. I enjoyed the book and encourage you to read it. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.
Band of Brothers: Jake 2 I am so glad I had these stories in a bundle so I could read the stories one after another. This book helped me know how Jake’s family ended up. I liked seeing Ginger’s maturity growth and how much it helped her relationship with Jake. You will love reading about Gerud, Jake’s brother, and the love he found in his biological father. It was so heartwarming to see Jake’s mother Adel taking care of all the grandchildren and the parties she threw for the family. But is was scary when Jake and the team had to go back to Mexico where he had accidentally shot the innocent girl. I sure would not have wanted to go back there. I enjoyed this book and encourage you to read it. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.
These hot Alpha males never back down from a fight on American soil or in the sandbox. These men stick to together and always have each others backs. Each book has its own adventure and hot romance with some unlikely sources of terroristic threats that I am sure actually are evaluated domestic and abroad on a daily basis. Lucas:This is by far my least favorite seal... I just really don't like Lucas... He's a bit of a butthead. I really like Marcy but think she could have had more depth... Once again we see how terrorism on the home front is a definite possibility and one way it could occur. What I love about these books is we always get to reconnect with all the guys of ST 3. I am sure happy to say that I am glad that I don't have to live or share a room in the bachelor pad...man it needs a good scrubbing. Lucas and Marcy have lots of chemistry...there are hot steamy love scenes. Panty melting as always by Sharon Hamilton. Ps he becomes likeable as we see him evolve in other books. Alex: Alex meets Sydney on a blind date. She's a beach volleyball player that tracks Alex to Sonoma county following a blind date. He has gone up to help Nick and Devon with the winery and check out one that the guys are interested in buying. Sydney comes up to meet with a volleyball player from college that she is thinking about as her new partner for them to go pro. She ends up moving there for a job and to train with her new partner. I wont give away too much but this is an awesome read where the action takes place rescuing children held overseas to rescues stateside. we have good character development as always and get to reconnect with a lot of the seals from ST3. I love how all the books touch on and show how everyone is doing. Jake : This was a good story about Jake and Ginger...they make a good match and I am glad to see a first love/marriage rekindled. But what I really loved about this book was getting to visit with Christy Lansdowne, Kyle's wife. At lot of times in this series we dont see much of her. I really loved how we see her in this book. She is always talked about in the other books about how being the COs wife she steps up and helps the SEAL wives but to really get to see her help GInger with the girls and puppy was great. That was my favorite part of this book...getting to visit with Christy and kids. I Jake2: Jake 2 took up where Jake left off. We find Jake home from his deployment where the guys have to literally sneak home because they have made General Cortez mad. Jake has to come home and bury his father; deal with being in charge of his will. Find out that his brother is only his half brother (Gerud), help his mom and brother deal with this along with Jake's Dad's wishes in the reading of the will... and unfortunately the guys have to go back to Mexico to find a rogue Seal that has been selling guns.. This story has all the action and adventure we have come to expect from this group of Seals.. Spoiler...I am glad to see that Jake's brother, Gerud really isn't the bad guy I thought he was in Jake. I thought he was gonna be a snake in the grass. I am really trying not to give to many spoilers away.. Cant wait to figure out who the lucky Seal will be that has to help finish up helping with General Cortez. Love how the stories always catch us up on how the other Seals are doing.
These are easily engaging reads with strong characters and enjoyably entertaining storylines. They each center around one couple with just the right mix of drama, suspense, and hot romance, unique to their characters’ story and can mostly be read as a standalone. (Jake’s story is split between 2 books.)
BAND OF BACHELORS: LUCAS is an enjoyable and often suspenseful read. The portrayal of the bachelor SEALs is fairly spot-on, although some may be turned off by their antics and lifestyle. Lucas and Marcy have great potential as a couple, but they needed a bit more development and a little less insta-love. The danger of the terrorist camps is disturbing and may be triggering for some. But overall this should not diminish your interest in or involvement with this intriguing story as it has value in its entertainment factor. It certainly kept me reading from start to finish.
BAND OF BACHELORS: ALEX begins with a bit of an explosive start which leads to an almost explosive end. In between, there’s dangerous action, exciting drama, and steamy passion. Alex and Sydney come together unexpectedly, and as their relationship begins to grow, personal conflicts and goals begin to interfere. Just as it seems they may end up going their separate ways, circumstances lead them to realize what’s really important in life in this exciting, intriguing, and often suspenseful tale that is sure to grab your interest and keep you completely involved from beginning to end.
BAND OF BACHELORS: JAKE is an interesting and engaging story full of family drama and a mission that went a little sideways with Jake in the middle. In this first part of their 2nd chance tale, there are lots of personal conflicts and family troubles, as well as Jake and his team on a potentially dangerous mission. Not only do Jake and Ginger have a lot of issues to work through but there’s a hint of something more brewing not only within the family but potentially internationally. Although we’re left with an HFN ending, there are several questions still waiting to be answered and story threads needing to be sewn up, hopefully all by the end of JAKE 2.
BAND OF BACHELORS: JAKE 2 is the continuation of Jake and Ginger Green’s tale. There’s a lot more suspense and excitement in this one but with the same engaging characters and entertaining storyline. Jake’s on another mission that almost goes wrong, some of his family’s matters get a better resolution, there’s just a bit of potential intrigue on home soil, and of course, the deepening love with touches of steamy passion between Jake and Ginger. This is an enjoyable and fast-paced read that is sure to hold your interest until the very surprising ending.
These are all interesting and involving romances filled with action, drama, and steamy passion. Each tale ties together seamlessly, linking more lives of the members of SEAL Team 3. It’s a series you are sure to enjoy!
Lucas: Lucas is staying with some buddies after his wife Connie kicked him out of their house. He knows she will let him come back soon once she cools down, but this time is different. She serves him with divorce papers and hires a realtor, Marcy, to help her sell their house. Connie warns Marcy of her soon to be ex husband on how he's a charmer. But when Marcy meets Lucas for his signature she meets someone else entirely. One could say it's like a love at first site, these two were meant for each other. So when Marcy shows up at one of Lucas' properties that his dad and grandfather passed down to him, one night of passion changes both their lives forever. With Lucas on a sudden deployment and Marcy's life going down hill, can the two of them make it work or are they better off going their own separate ways? Loved this story!
Alex: Alex agreed to go on a blind date with volleyball player Sydney. He figured it would be a hook up and then he'd be on his way but the chemistry they have between one another is undeniably there. Sydney finds her perfect partner for volleyball and they agree to just see how things play out. But when Alex comes back from deployment and is offered a once in a life time position, he considers taking it. After all, he and Sydney now both have what they want, or do they? Sydney's life becomes in danger but will Alex be able to save her before it's too late?
Jake: Jake has two ex wives and just ended it with his girlfriend. So his brother takes him to Vegas but when Jake wakes up, he's married again to an unknown woman. But when his brother takes him to a show that night, he runs into his first wife, the one that got away, Ginger. With the two of them falling back into the swing of things, can they make it work again? Jake has his family drama, an ex girlfriend that is becoming stalkerish and a deployment that goes horribly wrong for Jake. Can he be there this time for Ginger and their two kids or will he walk away again like before?
Jake2: So first I must say that I really was feeling bad for Gerud, but felt a little better during this story. Anyways, so now that Jake's dad has passed, he learns his brother isn't his full blooded brother but rather a half brother. He also learns he has a half sister. With all the chaos of his family and unknown family twists, he and his first wife Ginger really try and make it work a second time. But with Jake having to go back to Baja on another mission, he worries his fate may not be so lucky since the Mexican General wants him tried. Will Jake survive his SEAL mission and the family drama that has fallen on his shoulders?
Lucas This was an engrossing story that quickly pulled me in. I liked Marcy. I particularly liked all the growth we saw in her character. Lucas left me scratching my head a bit. I kind of don’t feel like he did as much growing, and I think he was the one that needed it the most. I liked where they were able to get to as a couple by the end, however there are still some plot threads I’d like to unravel. I’m hoping I’ll see more of the storylines I want to follow in the subsequent books in the series. Alex This episode in the Band of Bachelors is ultra spicy, so just be aware if you’re reading it in public. This story really isn’t what typically comes to my mind when I think about ‘military romance’. And, while I liked the novelty, the differences didn’t sit quite right with me. I find it most unusual that the book felt so cerebral even though it spends so much time telling us about what and how Alex and Sydney are feeling. In the end, I really liked the change of heart both characters undergo because their communication stunk and I thought both of them were pretty selfish up to that point. I still kind of wish there weren’t so many unanswered questions from the first book, though. Jake I’m a sucker for a second chance. However, the setup giving Jake and Ginger their second chance left me feeling off-kilter from the beginning. I also thought Jake’s forgiveness for the setup was far too easily given. I loved that these two ultimately decided not to give up on one another, I just wish we could have seen more about the pair of them actively working on it. There’s a lot of different plot lines running in this book, and many of them aren’t closed off at the end. I’m very curious to see how the next book is going to tie off the loose ends. Jake 2 This book very handily gave me closure on all those things that were unanswered from Jake’s previous story. And most of them turned out kind of different than I was imagining they would. This was a situation rife with family drama, and it served to bring healing rather than pure chaos. I really loved getting to see more of Jake and Ginger together and watching them reconnect after so long apart. I’m seriously impressed with the characters these two are growing into. I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout as part of the box set.
All the stories in this bundle are very good and classic Ms Hamilton’s. That said, I did have a couple of favorite stories. I really liked Alex, a Navy Seal who can be called a junkie of all things dangerous. He is set up on a blind date with Sydney, an Amazon of a woman who is a well known beach volleyball player. Needless to say, the attraction is instantaneous. These are two very strong characters, who know what they want and they do want each other. The storyline takes us to the wine country, to a change of residence for Sydney in order to work on her game, and earn a living, as well as overseas when Alex and his team go to retrieve hostages. Sydney also has a life changing decision to make and unexpectedly ends up in a life threatening situation. We get a chance to visit some of the Team members we have come to love and as usual, Ms Hamilton presents us a plot that gives us a glimpse of the life on a Navy Seal, while at “work” as well as the effects their profession has on their family. The other one I specially liked was being able to revisit Jake Green, one of the Navy Seals, who has been married twice, and lived with another woman. His true love is his first wife, Ginger. But the story is more complicated than them reconnecting. The author takes us into the lives of these brave men, as professionals and family men, their trials and tribulations, their sacrifices, and the conflicts both internal and external etc. It showcases , as well, the relationships not only of their wives/girlfriends/ children, but also of their parents and siblings. In this case, Jake’s. That said, I felt that MANY questions were left unanswered and the ending was a tad sudden. Hopefully, we will get a resolution in the near future. I was gifted these. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
I suppose I shouldn't be shocked so easily, given all the reading and listening I do with contemporary romance, but the start of each of these books--and when two or more of the heroes and their buddies were together--has an overwhelming amount of profanity. In general, I'm not a fan of swearing in books, but it is too common in books these days, especially contemporary romance. These military men in these books swear a blue streak! I almost gave up on this big bundle within minutes, but I stuck with it. Luckily, the profanity dwindled to a tolerable level once the romances got started. I particularly liked the book about Alex and his lady. She's a strong woman with a complex past, though one might say she is hypersexualized--again, not a fan of that. Alex is a great book boyfriend once you--and he--get past his love-‘em-and-leave-‘em approach to women. And his heroine is able to wriggle under his skin, making him want more from a relationship. The book has a surprising twist at the end that I won't go into detail about, but I love how both the hero and the heroine acted with such strength and courage.
I'm formerly from the Mendocino coast in California, and I spent much time in Sonoma county. This book takes place partly in or mentions several towns in the area, including Cloverdale and Healdsburg, as well as the biggest city, Santa Rosa. Some of my old stomping grounds! Going to Santa Rosa with favorite stops in those other little towns was something we often did when we wanted to shop at stores larger than our small, remote town offered. The books brought back fun memories of those places. If you don't mind an excess of profanity and hypersexualized males and females who seem to lead with their gonads, you will probably enjoy this book bundle better than I did.
Lucas – Lucas is a Navy SEAL whose volatile mortgage is coming to end, and not only has he been forced to leave his home but his wife is now selling it. Marcy is the realtor who has been hired to sell the house and as they spend time together the chemistry ignites however, they have some challenges to overcome both as a couple and individuals.
Alex – Alex is dedicated to his career as a Navy SEAL and isn’t looking for love or a relationship but there is no denying the attraction he has for Sydney. Sydney is a volleyball player who is focused on her career and although the attraction between them may have been expected the danger they found themselves in wasn’t.
Jake – Growing up Jake didn’t have the best example when it came to love and marriage which have made relationships as an adult challenging. Ginger has always loved Jake, but she struggled with the demands of his career. When they finally get their second chance despite the obstacles, they are determined to be the partner the other needs.
Jake 2 – Jake has returned home from his last mission but the danger is far from over. Not only is he dealing with the aftereffects he is also trying to handle his father’s estate, family secrets and continue rebuilding his relationship with Ginger who is determined to be there for him every step along the way.
It is great to have these four stories in one collected. I enjoyed listening to these stories as the narrator portrayed all the romance, emotion and action of these stories.
Bundle includes four popular books from the Band of Bachelors, part of the bestselling SEAL Brotherhood Series. Includes all four books: Lucas, Alex, Jake and Jake2.
Band of Bachelors: Lucas. Getting a divorce, Lucas ends up in a romance with the realtor Marcy. Band of Bachelors: Alex. Blind date with a volleyball player leads to a hot romance, and move to Sonoma County. Band of Bachelors: Jake. A trip to Vegas, night of drinking, leads to a wedding ring. Band of Bachelors: Jake2. Jake reunites with his ex-wife Ginger. Learns he has a half sister, and his brother is really a half brother.
All four books have action, romance, and sexy scenes. These men show their softer sides, while also going on deployment and fighting terrorists in the US and Mexico. The women are strong, determined, and independent (necessity for a military spouse). I really like the Seals Brotherhood Series. Each is uniquely different, yet share common characters and life styles. Great job with narration.

This set of books covered the lives of the Seals who were either single or separated from their wives. The stories all show the complexity of having a relationship with a Navy Seal and how often it can go wrong. On the plus side though there were some steamy make-up sessions and some happy ever afters. There are the usual missions in each book and one in particular is quite upsetting for Jake, one of the Seals which brings out a different side to his character. This was probably my favourite of the stories, especially the second book under his name when he had a lot to deal with. Overall an interesting group of stories to read which I thoroughly enjoyed and which brought home that there are personal issues for the Seals which were described in a touching way but then again with a group of macho men there was always going to be an element of fun in them at times.

The Navy SEALS featured in this set are highly skilled operatives who risk their lives to rescue and protect others. Though they are highly skilled when it comes to their careers, their personal lives are another matter. All of them have not managed to have a successful longterm relationship. Some of the fault lies with the challenges of their jobs, part of it due to communication problems and being unwilling or unable to reveal their feelings. Luckily for them, they all find women who are strong-willed, determined and willing to fight not only for what they want, but for their men. They all face dangerous and complicated situations, but the skills of the men save the day and each guy learns to fight for the love and woman who claimed his own heart unexpectedly. Each story is entertaining as well as action-packed, thrilling, and well worth reading.

The stories follow Lucas, Alex, and Jake as they navigate love, divorce, and personal challenges while balancing their intense SEAL careers. The mix of romance, drama, and action keeps things exciting, and each SEAL's journey feels unique yet connected through their brotherhood.
J.D. Hart does a great job capturing the toughness and vulnerability of these SEALs. His voice really pulls you into the story, making the emotional moments and action scenes hit harder.

You know that four books about Seals from Sharon is going to be good, and you won't be disappointed. Briefly the three men are surprised with things that happen!
Lucas thinks that his wife isn't serious after receiving divorce papers! Then he finds out she's entitled to half his family home. He's sleeping on the settee at a flat where several of his divorced friends live, not sure why he thinks that his wife will take him back, seems pretty obvious she doesn't want anything to do with him!
Alex is a perpetual batchelor, hoping that his friends will set up blind dates for him, until things become a bit more serious.
Jake wakes up in Las Vegas and suddenly finds that he's married, then he comes home after a mission to find things have become really complicated.

They may start out as bachelors but then they find the one woman who gets them, but the road there can be wild and crazy especially for a SEAL. For a woman to love a SEAL they must be able to deal with secrecy and radio silence and strong emotions. These guys are the best and it will take a special woman to be with them. The women in these four stories are no shrinking violets and their guys just might get surprised by how strong their ladies are. We also learn that danger may be closer than we think and that we should all be aware of our surroundings. The brotherhood between these guys is strong and the connections between them and those around them are not to be messed with. I love Ms. Hamilton's SEALs and these four stories are a good representation of the wonderful stories she writes.

I enjoyed all four books in this exciting series. In the first two stories, Lucas & Alex with their team, had to fight against terrorists and suicide bombers respectively. When their women are put in danger, they try their hardest to save them. In the final two books, Jake must cope with his dysfunctional family whilst attempting to complete a mission in Mexico. The suspense in all the books helped keep my interest from start to finish. Although there are a few grammar issues, as was pointed out by earlier reviews, these are minimal and did not distract me from the storylines themselves. I highly recommend this bundle. This is a boxed set of the Band of Bachelors Series. It is 4 novels about 3 SEALs Lucas, Alex and Jack. Jack is so complex that he needs 2 books to complete his story. These 3 SEALs from Team 3 are confirmed bachelors who love to play the field. Little did they know that when the right woman appeared they wouldn’t be able to resist her. The 3 women that steal the hearts of Lucas, Alex and Jack have very strong personalities, the perfect qualities to complement their SEAL and can deal with whatever is thrown their way. I highly recommend this bundle as you will love these 3 SEALs and their ladies as much as I did.
Big Band of bachelor's Bundle covers the life and journeys of four seals. Each story is unique to each bachelor seal and draws you into their drama. They are well written with characters that are dynamic and inspiring. My favorite is Jake, but the other three stories are just as good. In Jake's story, he wakes up in an unfamiliar bed with a ring on his finger it throws him and realizes he has to do something about his drinking! He reconnects with his ex-wife in this story, and you can feel the sparks between them. Will fate give them a second chance? My other favorite.

This is four good stories of finding love and second chances. I had the privilege of listening to these stories, which is over twenty four hours of listening pleasure. I thought JD Hart did a really good job bring the characters and their stories to life. Audiobooks are so great because I can multi-task and still get me book fix in. These stories were perfect and so nicely developed. I love the characters and Lucas, Alex and Jake are great! Each story brings something unique, challenges, suspense, action, passion and love. I especially love Jake's story and his second chance.
This series is about the men from divorced seals. It’s a sort of an apparent if misfits! One thing about Sharon’s men in her stories they are almost more surprised by how insta love is working while they are actively perusing their women! It’s adorable. You go if theirs emotional rollercoasters and journey of personal growth for all characters involved!.

This was a fantastic set of stories! I loved each story and read till I couldn't hold my eyes open any longer. Sooo good. I love a man in uniform. These guys are 100% alpha and would do anything for their brothers and those that belong to them. 5 stars is not enough but it is as high as I can give! A must have for my library!.

This is a bundle of four books that tell about the romance of three SEALs who are divorced, or soon to be and have sworn off commitments. Stories are good with good editing and some waxing poetic about feelings along with some suspense. While there is a definite ending, there are threads for the couples that are left unanswered and will probably be picked up later.

This set is about 3 SEALs that meet their match in 3 strong women. Lucas and Marcy, Alex and Sydney, Jake and Ginger. All through trials and issues will these couples survive? Can the guys commit to these women or will they stay uncommitted? You have to read and find out. JD Hart narrates with a smooth as good whiskey voice.

All round the plots a good but it seems there should be another book to finish of the series so we know what happens to the group. Plenty of action suspense drama and romance with steam . If you like seals romance with steam and plenty of depth than I highly recommend this set . The narrator has done a brilliant job of bringing this set alive. Sharon Hamilton has perfected her formula for delivering hot alpha SEALS on the pages of this series. Her SEALS do what SEALS do best: saving the world and their women. With lots of romance and thrilling suspense, this series is positively a must read. As for the audio narrator: he has a pleasant voice and inflection. There are a lot of characters and he does an adequate job of performing them. 4 1/2 stars.

This is a bundle of 4 books: Lucas, Alex, Jake part 1 and Jake part 2.
These are the stories of 3 SEALs who are divorced, or will be soon and have sworn off all commitments. These stories suspense, angst, danger, family squabbles and everything else you have come to expect from this author.

This book bundle contains 4 stories about 3 different Seals. The first story is absolutely wonderful until you get to the ending. You get your happy ending but it feels rushed and incomplete. The last two books in the bundle are my favorite. I really enjoyed getting a deeper look into the characters life since both stories revolved around the same main character.

I really enjoyed these stories. My favourite was Lucas and Marcy. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was going to happen next. Favourite word I learnt was Dayum. I enjoyed Alex and Jake’s stories as well. A real good read that I would recommend.
