Some what entertained.

Sweet Cove has ghosts, shaking a hand he tells what the person really feeling. She even see the girl she is going to have. Good recipes at the end. Intentionally picked this book, because had to give my mind a rest.

This was book 13 in the series and of course I hadn't read the others but still was a nice read.
It is Christmas in Sweet Cove and the Rosalind sisters are getting ready to enjoy the holidays.
however there is a Peeping Tom in town scaring women.
The sisters get busy ready to solve the case and they use their psychic abilities to help figure out who is the culprit.

A fantastic Christmas tale for the Roseland sisters

The books are better read as a series starting with The Sweet Dreams Bake Shop.

The stories in the series always complete the cases but there is a lot of character build up in the past stories which would enhance the reading of this tale. However it is not necessary to do so.

This story sees a busy Christmas for the Roseland sisters. Guests are at the house, the Christmas traditions are all in full flow but the festivities are marred by a Peeping Tom.

As people are about dealing with Christmas shopping, that is all they can talk about. Women living on their own seem to be targeted.

Three suspects are interacting with the family but Jenna is plagued by visions when she looks at Mr Finch's sketches. Mr Finch use to draw when younger but decided after doodling to start up again. Whilst looking at the pictures Jenna sees something very disturbing.

The Peeping Tom migrates his behaviour. There is confusion and misleading information abound as the sisters race to save one of their own.

The characters are extremely well written with a quality that draws you in. Family and friends with added guests, add a great deal of colour and distraction to the story and of course not forgetting two fierce felines.

One of those stories you don't want to put down once started.

For me it was a gem which increases the Roseland sisters appeal and I can't wait for the next instalment.

Sweet Spirits Three is the 13th book in the Sweet Cove Mystery series by J.A. Whiting, and particular story is set in the Christmas season. These are simple, sweet, festive cozy mysteries with a paranormal element and strong family bonds. I find these stories delightful, refreshing and a joy to read. The crimes interesting and varied, and the plot is always entertaining.

Sweet Spirits Three has a Peeping Tom prowling about peeking into windows and scaring the women of the town. The culprit seems to be escalating when a woman is murdered at a public event. Jenna, one of the Roseland sisters, has seen spirited visions of her twin, Angie, in mortal danger. This prompts the sisters, Mr. Finch, and the cats to step into action assisting Chief Martin in solving this crime.

There are several suspects in this mystery, and though the criminal wasn’t all that difficult to suss out, the unraveling of the crime with it’s intriguing characters and the side stories they provided, as well as the ongoing, overarching plot, made this story fun. These mysteries are short and easy-to-get through, perfect as a palette cleanser for heavier books, or as a sweet, endearing cozy to brighten your day.

I really love this series. It is a gentle read, a bit of romance, and a good murder mystery combined into new plots in each novel. This is the thirteenth and my only complaint is that I wish the stories were longer as I read them in one sitting and then have no more...sigh.

The Roseland sisters are preparing for Christmas. Sweet Cove has a problem though, a Peeping Tom is terrorizing the small cozy town in Massachusetts. As we have learned the Roseland sisters have a touch of Paranormal abilities and the Police Chief quickly asks for their help in sensing who might be committing these crimes.

The entire cast is involved in this murder mystery, including both cats. When the ghosts of the past and future appear to warn the sisters that Angie, the eldest is in peril, the action picks up.

I think the reason I like this series so well is that it reminds me of 'Little Women' by Louisa May Alcott. Although the Alcott book is set in the 1860's, the Roseland sisters are definitely twenty-first century ladies.

This book is a joy to read and you will give yourself a treat if you begin at volume one and continue to read and get to know Sweet Cove dwellers. Good mysteries and makes you smile.

Past and future

As always I was drawn into the story from the beginning. I love how each sister had their own special gift to help solve the crimes in the stories. I enjoy the interaction between them and Mr. Finch.
In this story Mr. Finch has started drawing again and Jenna starts to see visions of the future and a person from the girls past comes for a few visits. Of course, there is a murder for them all to solve. You need to read to find out how it all turns out and at the end there is a special announcement made be a couple in the group.

I like every next book better than the last of this series. In this book Courtney finally got something she has been asking for since about Book One (a swift kick in the rear? Lol. No.)

I love Christmas time, so this read satisfied that craving. All the talk about Christmas trees, wreaths, and sweet baked goods warmed my heart. Also, the love of family and friends that is always present in all the books in this series.

In this book Angie was on guard because her sister Jenna kept having visions of her in danger. It was again up to the family and adopted family to help keep her safe. We even got to “see” Angie and Josh’s daughter. It was awesome.

And finally a date has been set for one of the four sisters wedding. It’s about time! I believe the next book will include this wedding and maybe we’ll meet their child before this series is over.

There are always recipes in the end of these books and I actually made one from book 12. I made the Cinnamon Crumb Cake. The Crumb part was no very crumbly due to such a little amount of flour, but that didn’t matter because all the butter in it sure brought out Fantastic Flavor! I changed the name of it to Cinnamon Butter Cake. Delish!

Next book is Sweet Love and Devotion, book 14.

Wow, what a book!!!!

I give this book 15 stars!!!!!!
I lost so much sleep, what the girls went through, I had guessed about 4 times and they were all wrong.
Angie, Jenna, Courtney, Ellie and Mr. Finch with their mates had a very puzzling case with Chief Martin. There were so many suspects, and some kind of motive for each suspect. And none of it was making sense.
A mysterious person was running around terrorizing the small town, then the murder happened and things really got strange.
Even the two cats got involved Euclid and Circe. Some of the guests at the B&B in the Mansion were involved. Ellie, the one that likes to stay in the background came out like a lioness.
I can't start telling you any of it because there is so much. If you have been reading the series J.A. Waiting has out done herself on this book, I can't wait for the next one.
YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!!!!

I really enjoy this series. It is well written, with enough variety book to book that it's a joy to read them. There are crime, mild romance (meaning not the most import element in the story, but a nice one), and a loving, tightly knit family.
The Roseland sisters and their friend, Mr. Finch, have paranormal skills that they use to help the police chief gather clues to solve crimes. Each sister also has her own business, a bakeshop, a candy store, jewelry making, and running a b and b.
Each book stands alone, but I think it's better to read them in order, since the characters develop and new characters are introduced along the way. I'll be a little sad when I reach the end of the series.

A peeping Tom is running around town scaring single women or women with small children, none of these women has a man living with them. However, he soon escalates from just peeping to breaking and entering and then to murder.

Added to this Jenna has a vision of her sister Angie lying in a coffin in present time, not as a elderly person. She “sees” this when looking at a one of Mr. Finch’s drawings. She also has a visit from her Nana and another “spirit” as well. Nana seems to give the message, “take care” and the other spirit has a message of “danger” for Angie.

Lots of excitement all happening as Christmas draws close.

Definate Read!

Once again this author has served up a well-written, well-thought out story. My favorite part are the believable characters, the detailed (but not "boggy") descriptions, & the way the story flows. This story had one "hiccup". Unlike usual (either me or "willing suspension of disbelief") when I don't see the end, this time it was **EXTREMELY** obvious. It WAS a big disappointment but all other criteria averaged it out.
NOTE: HIGHLY Recommend reading in place in order b/c of info given.

A Spirited Mystery

I love the community of Sweet Cove and Ellie, Angie, Courtney, and Jenna. It's always pleasant to visit them, and Christmas there is just gorgeous. This time, my only regret is that I knew the murderer long before anyone suspected who it was. Otherwise, I thoroughly enjoyed the story and love the continuing saga. I'm suspecting book #14 might involve a wedding?

This is the 13th in the series. The main characters are the Roseland family. The girls and Mr. Finch are once again using their physic powers to help solve a murder case. It starts with a peeping tom and ends with a murder. When Jenna sees her twin lying dead the girls ban together to figure out who has done all this before it is too late for their sister. Can they figure this out before time runs out?

Outstanding Series

J A Writing has an incredible talent and every book in the Sweet Cove has delighted me. The Roseland sisters, their significant others, Mr Finch and the whole Sweet Cove cast of characters entertain and intrigue the readers. It's hard to put every single book down once you start reading because you become enmeshed in the story and the fascinating process the crew go through to solve the mystery. Don't pass this series up!

Kind of unnerving, but good. This book was a little outside my “enjoyment realm”…..but, I’m glad I stuck with it. It has the sisters, the 2 wonderful cats, Mr Finch, a creepy peeping tom, several mysteries to solve, no graphic violence, romance with no sex, and no cliffhanger endings. I recommend it and all the J A Whiting books. They are perfect for curling up in a comfy chair with a cup of tea on a rainy day. Enjoy!

Peeping Tom

The town has a peeping tom, 25 reported cases in town. Chief Martin asks the girls to look at the latest site to see if they feel anything. Bella is the next victim but she pulls a gun on the peeper. Jenna looks at Mr Finch's sketches and has a vision. Chief Martin hopes to catch whoever is doing this before he escalates after he goes into his next victim's house. Good story.

A + +

I have read all thirteen of the Sweet Cove Mystery Books and would read more if available. The characters are well formed, intelligent and resourceful. Each book has its own mystery and several suspects, so your brain gets a workout trying to figure out who the culprit is. I look forward to reading more books by J. A. Whiting.

A few comments:
This book is 13th in a series. The books can be read as stand-alones, but they can be better enjoyed in order.
It takes place at Christmas and captures the spirit of the season.
The series has elements of a paranormal nature, but the characters are not witches.
The characters are likeable and continue to develop as the series progresses.
No snarkiness here.

Another Winner!

What a fabulous installment to this “sweet” series where the family by blood, by adoption, and by fur truly care about each other. The mystery is a unique approach, and there are so many suspects that the villain could be any one of them Honestly, my favorite characters are the cats, but just barely by a whisker. BRAVO!
