The Christmas Mummy and Other Carols

Rate this book
Heather Shaw and Tim Pratt have spent the past decade spinning tales of holiday magic (and the occasional terror) for delighted readers, and those winter wonderlands are collected here for the first time.

In these stories, a Christmas wish becomes and Krampus curse, the holiday spirit turns dangerously contagious, the queen of winter visits the icy moon of Europa, a jinni looks for love in a steamy cafe, a trickster god celebrates New Year's Eve, a pair or cryptozoologists hunt flying reindeer, and Ebenezer Scrooge hires a ghost-hunter to rid him of meddlesome spirits -- among other celebrations.

Also includes their cult classic "The Christmas Mummy," the story that started it all, and a brand new sequel, "The Christmas Abomination from Beyond the Back of the Stars."

This was absolutely delightful. I mean, not that all the stories are sugarplum fairies and candy canes or whatever. One or two are downright dark. But even those were delightful in their own way.
