I like that the boy dragon is pink. I like that he is named Emmeline. The world needs more books like this.

I just read this recently having found it in a second hand shop. I was intrigued by the illustrations which are lovely. The story is lovely too, it's so nice to discover a beautiful children's book even in middle age!

This was my favorite book as a little girl. It's about pretending, having a fantasy, and then coming back to the real world to start a new one. The world of pretend is so much fun. I can't wait to read this picture book to my son the way my grandma read it to me.

The story is captivating (rather than frustrating) for its ambiguity, and the illustrations are beautiful.
