A group of twenty-something girlfriends find themselves in New York City in the midst of the 90s dot-com boom. They've got killer jobs, killer clothes, and each other -- what could go wrong?
Everything, and usually in the most hilarious way possible.
The Girlfriends of Gotham follows the life of NYC newcomer Natalie Pepper. She's a California girl, a fish out of water, and she's going to make it on her own in the big city despite a massive crush on a coworker (a no-no), a boss that can't seem to get her name right, and a group of friends creating all kinds of chaos of their own.
If you've missed Sex and the City, this series will scratch that itch. Dive in today!
Book One: Men and Martinis Welcome to New York...
After driving across the country on an impulse, I'm ready to take Manhattan. And at first, everything seems to be going my way. I luck into an apartment. I have an awesome new girl squad. Jobs are being handed out like candy, thanks to the dot-com boom. And mine means working with CJ, with his Greek-god good looks and million-dollar smile...
Yeah, I have a massive crush on my co-worker. And it's starting to look like it's reciprocated. But parties every night and a job I'm in no way qualified for are taking their toll. Not to mention this completely inappropriate flirtation.
It's good to have distractions, like the also-inappropriate love life of my friend Candace. Because if I let myself have what I want...I could lose everything.
Book Two: Highballs in the Hamptons
The second Girlfriends of Gotham's book continues Natalie Pepper's story. She's settled in the city now, and still pining for CJ, the all-American man who actually loves her back. But she can't seem to stop getting in her own way. In the meantime, Lulu's got dating issues of her own--a gorgeous ER doc treats her sprained ankle (which she would point out, he also caused), and then treats her better than any other man ever has. But there's one problem...Tippy. His Upper East Side mother and her Upper East Side attitude.
Book Three: Cosmos and Commitment
The third book in the trilogy finds Natalie finally with the guy ... until a ghost from his past returns (in the form of a cougar with WAY too much cleavage for Natalie's liking.) In the meantime, Tamara is killing it in the NYC real estate scene -- who would have expected a little country girl could make it big on her own in the city. Certainly not her family, and definitely not her old boyfriend. But Gage "Spyder" Spidell will have tell her that himself when he shows up out of the blue, cowboy boots and all. Will she remember what it was about the long-legged cowboy she loved in the first place, or will she send him packing back to the country?
I'm USA Today Bestselling author Delancey Stewart. My contemporary romances run the gamut of settings and setups, but they always deliver humor, heart and heat. It's a guarantee.
I write from my home in Denver, CO, where I manage a household full of boys and men. Okay, only one man. The hubs. But two boys. I mean, three if you count the hubs. (You see why I do words and not numbers. I was told there'd be no math in this bio. Someone lied.)
I grew up in California and have had more jobs than anyone on earth (personal trainer, pharmaceutical rep, copywriter, tech writer, marketing director, wine seller, elementary school teacher... I'm not kidding. The list. It goes on.) But the one I love the most is writing, in part because I get to meet people who love books and stories as much as I do! Girlfriends of Gotham is set in the mid-90s just as the dot.com businesses are becoming the rage. Basically, it is about a group of twenty-something girls that somehow come together and form a friendship in NYC. They try to navigate life while enjoying fabulous clothes, terrific jobs, and lots of yummy men.
The series follows California girl Natalie Porter as she moves to the big apple discovering new friends and relationships, a new job with lots of unexpected responsibilities, and has her facing situations that are sometimes funny, sometimes serious, and other times life learning moments.
If you were a fan of Sex in the City, then this is the type of book series you are looking at. A touch of humor, romance, up & down relationships, and most important female friendships.

It was such a good surprise to be bring back in the late 90’swith all the start up booming and this kind of care free attitude that the world would be just how we wanted to be. Only negative in the story is the girls are way to high maintenance

Was suppose to be a Romantic Comedy, but there was really nothing funny about it. This box set was about a group of girlfriends in New York City, chronicaling their jobs, friendship and love lives. Not a bad read, but definitely not humorous.
The fact Catilina actually has a heart. Sad her parents were so cold blooded, makes you understand the way Cat behaves. I'm glad Tam finally will have a life. Maggie is my fave just like she is with the girls.
Natalie, Candace, Lulu, and Tamara experience the life of young independent carefree women in NYC. These books talk about their jobs and the various men they meet along the way.
I loved this fun and flirty series! The characters were witty, charming and fun. The story-lines were well written and kept my interest. I look forward to reading more by this author in the future.
The box set is a good storyline that is interesting, fun, and entertaining. The characters are engaging and well developed. I did like reading this box set.
Enjoyed this set, I'd read the first book a couple of years ago, and I'm glad I got the chance to finish the series to see how the stories played out for all the characters we meet.
The first book was good. Then in the second book I started to hate Natalie. She annoyed me so much, but the other characters keep me readioand I enjoyed the stories overall.
I enjoyed every second of the way this story gets across. What a wonderful lighted and fun read that definitely had me wanting to read till it was finished.
