As heard on "Coast to Coast with George Noory". Paranormal activity isn’t limited to missing household items, strange knocking on the walls and glimpses of transparent images out of the corner of our eyes. Sometimes, the activity is aggressive, harmful and even fatal. Thanks to paranormal investigators, psychics and mediums and people willing to openly share their experiences, our awareness of other-worldly beings has expanded. Over the years, law enforcement personnel have experienced their share of paranormal encounters but weren’t always willing to face potential ridicule at their admission. Today, the occurrence of the unnatural is so prevalent that official police cases have a designated code to define a crime’s paranormal element.Ghost Crimes chronicles the crime investigation cases of Detective Burke. Residing in central Florida, Burke is driven by his sworn duty to protect the innocent, especially children. A possession case in June of 1996 finds him face-to-face with the paranormal world. He struggles to make sense of the unbelievable event and many more to come. Paranormal author Gare Allen is the author of the best-seller, The A True Paranormal Story.

When a book is this entertaining I feel like shouting it from the rooftops. With everybody in the brother publishing books sometimes it can be hard to find a good one, this is a good one.
When detective Burke shows up at a call, he first goes to the nosy neighbor. Not only was she the color of the incident she was also the only eye witness. After listening to her crazy talk he didn’t go to the house next-door where things or a little weird or than they should be. They have duct tape over the air vents the children don’t act like children in oh yes I forgot to mention he found the five-year-old boy covered in blood in the driveway now to find the source of bad blood. After the Daddy starts talking about it to tease and ghost detectiveBurk is very skeptical, but when he visits the mother upstairs the one who was screaming the whole time he talk to the Daddy he finds out first thing in ghost Awreeoh. As he starts his investigation things will only get weirder. This was based on true events and I am glad they’re not mine to tell. This is a great book there is so much more to this book but don’t want to give any spoilers. Just buy this book it’s freaking awesome!
This is a awesome book and it's even more amazing because it's based on true police cases. It will keep you on your toes and the plot is twisted, it's almost to weird to be true, but it really happened and people like the ones in the book really do exist, more so than u know, you could be living right next to one and never know, and that my friends is the true scary part!!
This story pulled me along with it, and I had a bard time in putting it down. Excellent character development. For anyone who likes a good thriller/paranormal read,, I highly recommend this book.
Interestingly structured story. Odd it was more the 2 detectives that held my attention at first than the story. Kept me hooked. Not scary, ghost story or even a whole lot of paranormal but still interesting. I'll probably read more from this author.
audible:Over the top,FOX News style narration.Supposedly true storyline.Ugh! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.'
Such a great read and fascinating introduction to these characters and their journey into the supernatural! I really enjoyed the twists and turns that the story took as well as the suspense and horror.
I'm hoping for a nice, long book series from Mr. Allen because I feel like I'm just starting to get to know Burke, Garrison, Savannah and Lisa (as well as others). As the story progresses, layers of each character start to peel away... Each layer more intriguing than the last and making me want to know so much more. It's like meeting new friends that you instantly care about, and have immediate empathy for. You just can't wait to learn more about them, are excited to hear their histories and discover what truly makes them tick. I can't tell you how many times I wanted to just give Burke a hug!
I also look forward to diving into the supernatural side of the story as the series progresses. Mr. Allen definitely doesn't hold back with his descriptions of the "Ghost Crimes" victims and I admire that. It's creepy and disturbing, as it should be, which leads to the feeling of full immersion within those scenes. With that said, I hope to learn more about the motivations and influences of the killer(s) as well as the entities they are conjuring! Gimme those ghosts and demons!
I truly enjoyed this story and am excited to continue the journey in future books of the series!
