An okay read, not sure it worked as well as book one

I didn't connect as well to this story as I did to book one in the series, it seemed a little bit lacking in depth.
The two main characters were okay, Sir Robert we met in book one and Matthew was quite a sweet young man who was a bit bewildered by all that was going on around him.
It was nice to see Sir Lionel and Jim from the first book still happy together.

Love and Kinky Bits!
The story between Matthew & Sir Robert starts with a chance meeting in a disreputable brothel, then a rescue and finally, in love! I enjoyed this story, the writing, the characters and the premise. Although, in the beginning, the premise was concerning, to the point of not wanting to finish the story. (Somewhat Spoiler Alert 🚨 What parent would do that to their child?)
However, I had to know how the premise played out.
Good story with kinky bits, nasty bits and over-the-top bits.

Okay I'm sorry but this plot is *ridiculous*; this breaks and does not just strain one's willingness to suspend disbelief. The scenes at the beginning with the main character and love interest were good though.

A little more of the BDSM that takes place at Lord Dixon's brothel. Nothing is graphically detailed leaving the reader's imagination to get itself into trouble.
The romance that blooms is between Lord Robert Farnsworth and the young, obedient son of Hector Greensleigh, Matthew. Hector has just sold his son to Lord Dixon. Matthew, in doing his duty for the family, agrees to everything in a horrid contract drawn up by Dixon. Matthew won't admit it but he is terrified. Only one person showed that he cared what the young innocent would soon be facing; Sir Robert.
I really do think Robert should have been allowed to punch a few deserving it.
