This is the seventh book in this series and they should be read in order. Seth was part of the Elite hunters tasked with hunting and taking down rogues. He is ready to retire. We meet him briefly in Richie’s book. He helped protect Piper. Now he has been given one last hunt by the goddess. She wants him to go help Sara Adams. Her brother was killed by a rogue and she is determined to get justice. The goddess has promised this will be Seth’s last hunt if he goes and helps Sara. But he must allow Sara to join him on the hunt. Seth has never worked with a partner let alone a human one. Things get even more interesting when Seth arrives and discovers that Sara is his mate. Now his last hunt has become even more dangerous. Sara knows about shifters and refuses to accept the mating bond between her and Seth. Seth is patient and appreciates everything about Sara. He knows she will come around he must show her that she won’t loss herself when they bond. That he wants her even if the mating bond wasn’t there. Plus, she can’t defeat this rogue with the extra abilities being a shifter will give her. I was so excited to read this book. I love this whole series and I am always excited to read the next book in it. Seth is a fantastic character and so is Sara. I liked how their love slowly blossomed. While Sara did fight the mating bond once she began to get to know Seth better so slowly fell in love with him. Both Sara and Seth have extra gifts. Seth has more because he needed them as an Elite hunter. Sara was born with a special gift that got better once she mated to Seth. Congrats on another fantastic book V.A. Dold. I can’t wait to read the next one.

Seth and Sara work well together.
Major plot fail ruined the ending for me.
Long time since I read one of these. I pick one up every now and then as I thoroughly enjoyed Cade. Never been quite as good as book one.
Fun interaction/dialogue between Seth and his wolf form Fang. Empathised with Seth over his hard past but understood his need for becoming an Elite Hunter. I thought he softened and changed character too easily, from recluse with an emotional barrier, to lighthearted joke making romantic.
Though I liked Sara a lot, her attitude jumped continuously and she did the TSTL act, which I found ridiculous as she is a homicide detective.
The information given by Luperca was very intriguing and I found it believable.
I found it totally unbelievable and it spoilt the whole story for me, that Seth takes no actions after Paul explains about what happened to him in regards to the Benevolent Sovereign, be that a faction, clan, or person, not really explained clearly if it is a who or what.
Seth’s father and brothers are in danger and apparently the Benevolent Sovereign is in the camp around his family.
When Seth phones his mother that night, all he says is, can you un-bachelor my house. WTH?
Nothing about the danger, the possible threat, NADA, ZIP, NOT ONE WORD OF WARNING.
Two whole weeks later, Sara and Seth return to Louisiana and still no discussion seems to have taken place, nor does Seth, A LONG SERVING ELITE HUNTER, even try to figure out who the infiltrator is amongst the family/pack.
Put this down to me being a Beta reader or just being picky but I hate plot holes.
I assume this background problem will continue in the next book but that doesn’t excuse what I have just pointed out.
A bit jerky in story flow in the beginning. Had to stop a couple of times to think about what had just happened and when. Punctuation, especially commas, were misplaced.

Book 7 in the Le Beau Series. A story of a man whose life is filled with centuries of killing one's own kind. He belongs to the Elite Band of Hunters, those wolf shifters who have given up family, friends and love to follow their Goddess' commands in destroying rogue shifters. His promised time to his Goddess is nearly up and he will at last once again be with his family. Killing for centuries changes a man and he hopes his darkness can once again become light. But he learns that the Goddess has one more mission for him to take and this time he is ordered to take with him a female detective to track down a rogue; a rogue that was once his friend and is the killer of the detectives brother. The Goddess has brought them together for a reason, a reason that brings one joy and the other confusion. The story is filled with the horror of destruction by the rogue, love that must be understood and proven, and one big surprise. Secrets that have been hid from these shifters for centuries finally are told. This series always gives me great satisfaction but what comes around the corner in this one, really blows my mind. Before I finished this story I shouted out a few "WHATTTT THE HECK'S". That's it, too many hints have been given, you'll just have to pick up this fascinating book to find out what happens to the hero and heroine, as well as the rogue, for not all is as it seems.

Finally, we learn about Seth!

Excellent book, great action, both in the plot and between the main characters. The action of the plot seemed to let the 'get to know you' things fall off the map. Seth LeBeau is ready to retire at just under 200 years old, worn out from being an Elite warrior. A Hunter, one that tracks down rogue wolves, wolves that have lost their mate and their mind and become the werewolves of legend. Seth has one more rogue to hunt, and this one will be different to any he's hunted before. First, he has been ordered to partner with a human police detective, Sara Adams. Second, Sara is his mate, which Seth figures out quickly when he meets her. She knows about shifters, her sister is mated to one. She recognizes the signs almost as soon as Seth and lets him know she wants no part of mating and doesn't need him to help her find the rogue. Of course, she's tough, skilled and intelligent, but no match for a rogue physically. So, Seth has a battle on his hands to keep her safe. And third, this rogue isn't acting like any of the thousands Seth has seen before. Which is the most dangerous thing of all. 18+ for some descriptive violence to animals and sexual behavior between consenting adults.

Ahhhh, how I've missed the Le Beau's

We briefly met Seth in Richie's story, when he helped to keep Piper safe.

After serving the Goddess Luperca he was ready to retire, but the Goddess had other ideas. Seth was going to be rewarded with finding his mate, who happened to be a very independent strong beauty lady.

With whom, they need to finish off a case, Sara was working on, to find the monster responsible for killing her brother.

I loved how they got on, with an immense respect and a blossoming love.

Sara had every right to want to stay independent, but she soon came to realise there was far more to Seth, than being a shifter.

He had lead a very solitary life, with only his wolf for company, but he was happy with that, but we experienced his transition as he was blessed with meeting his mate.

This was a heartfelt story of not only self discovery but acceptance of trust and love.

Its been a blast being back in the lives of the Le Beaus, long may it continue.

V.A. Dold has done it again. Seth Le Beau has been an Elite Hunter for 150 years. He and his wolf (Fang) are tired and his soul is in tatters. One last job in Minnesota for the goddess, Luperca, and he can retire. What does find? His mate, Sara Adams, a Minneapolis police homicide detective. Can he convince her to become his mate? Will they be able to kill the rogue who brutally murdered her brother?
This is a fast paced story that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The hot sexy bits will keep you reading late into the night. It caused my Kindle to steam...lol.
There is a cliffhanger of sorts. Who is the Benevolent Sovereign and his group of black witches? Ritchie says it is the second time has raised his ugly head. Hmmm. Maybe I need to check out the League of Guardians and Dangerous Destiny before Etienne is released. V. A. Dold you've hooked me again to one of your series.

Seth is another Le Beau brother about to find his mate. This time, Emma and Isaac had to force him to accept a human woman to hunt down a rogue together after he killed her brother. Seth is an elite hunter blessed with more gifts than the average shifter. He also knows the truth about their origins. Sara is a police officer in Minnesota. She is on the hunt for a rogue that her and her brother knew very well at one time. The problem lies that he is not a typical rogue…he has moments of lucidity and fights off the rogue nature. Seth and her join together as mates to hunt the rogue. What they discover is terrifying and could mean horrid consequences for the Le Beau family if they cannot discover who the mastermind behind all the problems are! I received this book as an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.

Sara Adams is a detective. Her brother has been torn to pieces by a rogue wolf shifter. She wants revenge. She is not allowed to work the case. The rogue is slaughtering people and she is so frustrated. Seth was a Elite Hunter for the Goddess. Rogue wolves go rogue because the mate has died and if they can't follow them in death they go crazy and start killing. Seth is burnt out but is takes this one last case so he can help Sara and keep her from getting killed. When he meets her she is his soulmate. Their search for and killing the rogue is tense and exciting. She knows about shifters and she is not happy about becoming a mate. Really exciting. Love this series. This is one of the best stories.

Seth! Awww shucks, the last of the Le Beau Brothers' Series!

This may be the last of the series but one of the best of them. We get the gift of secrets we always wondered about throughout all of the Brothers series. No spoilers here but a small one (Just who is the Goddess Luperca anyway? And what secrets do she, Seth, Emma and King Isaac know that the other SHIFTERS don't know?). Seth, Lupeca's Elite Hunger is retiring but without a mate. Does he find her? Read the stipulations of one last rogue hunt for Seth. Great read for my favorite author V.A. Food's fans.

This story had a slightly different feel than the others in this series. I enjoyed the characters but enjoyed the authors shift more. Seth and Sara were interesting and I liked how he dealt with her apprehensions and refusals. My heart was tender for Seth due to his history as an Elite Guard and the toil that job took on him. The shock at the end has yet to be dealt with and I'm eager to pick up the next book to find out who is out to destroy the royal family and why. I look forward to more stories from this author.

Seth

I have been waiting for this book. I absolutely love this series and this book doesn't let you don't. Seth is retiring as a hunter. He plans to spend his life alone. Never thinking he would find a mate. Sara is determined to avenge her brothers death.
Fantastic characters and you get to revisit with a few of you have read the series. Plenty of action, suspense and romance.

Another great book

This was another great book in the series. It took an interesting turn to the other books in the series. I did miss Et in this book however. He was in all the other books but not this one. Also Krystal was mentioned but nothing at the end of the book listed a book of hers. Hopefully something will appear soon.

An enjoyable series.

Normally in a series you have books that some of them you enjoy reading and some of them you have to push yourself to read in order to understand the rest of the series.
In this case, the entire series was exceptionally well written and quite entertaining. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Seth thought he was done as an elite hunter of rogue shifters. Then he finds he has one last job with a partner. He has never worked with someone before. Then he realizes Sara is more than his partner. Can they work together and put down the rogue or will they get hurt fighting the pull of a mate?

Seth and Sara are a wonderful independent couple. They both want to protect the other. This well-written story has lots of action and romance which keeps you turning the pages. The final fight with the rogue leaves us with more questions, which will be answered in coming books I am sure. This is a really great addition to the Le Beau series.

Great Story

The Hunter found his match. This story was too good. Seth was everything Sara needed and she didn't even know it. Their love was strong and deep. I love the way she learned to trust him and he knew she was hard headed and to dang independent. Another Le Beau bites the dust.

OMG GOOD

I'm not sure but this may be the best get in the Le Beau series. Seth is a man every woman would love to be with and Sara is his female equivalent. Both are strong, brave and compassionate. Can't wait for the next one.
