Information abounds to help the pilgrim prepare for the physical aspects of their pilgrimage – what to wear, how to get there, what to carry – but little to no attention is paid to the mental, emotional and spiritual elements that make the Camino, or any other sacred walk, a pilgrimage rather than a hike.
In this book, veteran pilgrim Mony Dojeiji shares insights and tips from her pilgrimages on the Spanish Camino and walking 5000 kilometers from Rome to Jerusalem. She also offers questions for you to consider as you prepare your journey, and how to integrate the lessons learned upon your return home.
It is a companion before, during and after your pilgrimage.
Mony is a spiritual storyteller, pilgrim and award-winning co-author of WALKING FOR PEACE, AN INNER JOURNEY, memoir of her 5000-km, 13-month, 13-country pilgrimage from Rome to Jerusalem with Alberto Agraso. She has also written WALKING ALONE, a guide to support the pilgrim’s inner journey, and CHANNELINGS, a collection of channeled loving guidance she received from various Masters and Teachers.
She has also contributed to the writing of the children's books I AM HAPPY and MY FAMILY AND I, as well as the illustrated spiritual books THE CALL and COLORING THE SOUL by Alberto Agraso.
She is former Host and Producer of “Ottawa Experts” and "The Author’s Journey” on Rogers TV. With Alberto, she co-hosted the live radio show "Conversaciones con conciencia" on CHIN Radio.
Her spirituality is deeply influenced by the Ho’oponopono forgiveness practice, the mystical Christianity teachings of White Eagle, and most recently, A Course in Miracles, which she studies and practices with Alberto.
This is a book not only for pilgrims who are walking the Camino or other sacred site, but for everyday pilgrims in life, who choose to walk through life with confidence and curiosity, and who choose love over fear. It's filled with insight, and is a book to come back to over and again.
