Blockchain: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cryptocurrency...is not a bad book, but I can promise you that there are much better beginners guides to understanding blockchain technology. The book was not for me, but that is my fault; not Mr. Hoffman's. I relied on a single recommendation and I did no research into alternative books before diving in. For me, the main deficiency was this: Cryptocurrencies owe their success to blockchain and there are so many other incredible applications for blockchain that I assumed most of the book would center on this exciting new technology. Instead, the cryptocurrencies themselves were the main focus. I would have preferred a more in-depth lesson on the blockchain technical building blocks. I personally finished Mr. Hoffman's book with far more questions about blockchain than when I started. My fault. This is an average book if you are primarily interested in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
