This appears to be the second book (“The Treasure” is the first book) in a humorous fantasy adventure series about an inept archer, his two thieving female companions, and a small talking rodent. I particularly like the town of chanting pseudo-zombies whose religious fervor has caused them to lose the ability to take care of themselves. Both books can be found at http://blurb.com.
