This beautiful little book has been written by a Stratford, New Zealand, local lady.
To quote Linda "I am a wife, a mother, a grandmother, who loved and lost three of her boys. I live and work in Central Taranaki. I am part of a community, I am a friend and a neighbour.

This is my story ... I want you to come with me as I play out the cards that I have been dealt in "the Game of Life". I want you to learn random things I have to offer, from the books I have read, the people I have met and the life I have lived. I want you to smile, wonder at the blessings we have been given and appreciate that in the darkest times attitude is everything!

I haven't done anything famous. I haven't found a cure for alzheimers, or not that I can remember anyway! I didn't play for the Silver Ferns and so for my diplomatic skills haven't brought about world peace but there is a story you "Need to know".

A beautiful memoir written from the heart and I am not just being biased because I know the author!!

Linda writes in such a lovely manner, the book is "chatty", postive, up-lifting and heart-breaking all at the same time. To lose family members to illness would be an unbearable life event but Linda remains positive, and determined to carry on with life to the best of her abilities.

There are a lot of both teary and laugh-out-loud moments in this book. Very much a testament to an adored son and a fun read. Linda has name-dropped local people which makes it even more interesting and entertaining!

Donations are given to the Taranaki Air Helicopter and I hope it makes heaps!
