Free the dragons? Piece of cake.

Julianna never thought that going after her first dragon after years of dreaming to be a Slayer would result in saving one, but now she's determined to not only keep Ash safe, but help him free the dragons trapped in the Slayer's swords. The only way to free them requires a visit to the Goblins who created the swords in the first place. Not so easy a task when Dronias is divided by war. Getting answers is only half the battle, and danger is creeping closer as Ash and Julianna search for every last sword created. With the help of an unlikely ally long believed dead, Julianna and Ash will stop at nothing to free those enslaved. As Julianna risks more and more of herself to keep her promise, will Ash be able to keep her safe? Or will her sacrifice be her undoing?

Born in Leeds, I lived a very normal life until I got bored one day and decided to travel the world. Since then I've worked on a Banana Plantation, cleaned ACDC's dressing room and been a professional clown.
I climbed to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and the top of Kilimanjaro. Nowadays you'll find me being a climbing frame for my two young children, working in a school, and renovating my home.

This book continues the story of the Dragon Slayer, Julianna, who is now aligned with the very dragons she was taught to kill.

As with all the others in her village, Jules goes into the mountains on her 18th birthday in order to kill her first dragon. However, when she encounters a real dragon for the first time, she can't bring herself to kill it. Instead, the dragon ends up rescuing her from a fall to her death.

Jules and Ash, the dragon shifter who saved her, find out that all of the dragons that have been killed over the generations are in fact still alive. Only their souls are captured by the swords that slay them. Jules finds out that her blood can release the dragons' souls and vows to release as many as possible.

This is a wonderful story of a young woman's quest to right the wrongs perpetuated by her people, especially her own father. She vows to help the race of dragons, those she has been taught to fear and to kill, at the risk of losing her own family.

Full of plenty of action, magic, romance, and lots of heroic acts, this series should appeal to anyone who loves dragons and fantasy. The characters are well-developed and the world building is awesome. I look forward to continuing this series in order to see how the story ends!

This is the second book in the Dragon Tamer series and continues with Julianna and Ash trying to locate the Slayer swords which have imprisoned dragon’s souls for generations. Juliana is the only one that can release the dragons from the swords, but this drains her each time and there are too many souls to release. Ash, a dragon shifter, tries to stop her from killing herself to save all the dragon souls.

There must be another way to release the souls caught in the swords and since the Goblins used their magic to create the swords, then they must have another way to do this which won’t cost Julianna her life. Unfortunately, Goblins are not to be trusted and will take from you and not give anything back in return. They will twist their words and actions to their own benefit.

Julianna finds out that a long thought dead hero of the Slayers may still be alive and living with one of their enemies. They set out on a quest to find this legend and get themselves into more danger, as you can expect, but also may have found some new allies in their fight to release the dragon souls and find peace between their peoples.

Another great read from the authors, lots of action, lots of friendship and family relationships, good and bad, with characters that are made real on the page for the reader. Your interest is kept the whole way through and you just can’t wait for the next book. I read this in a morning – the wee hours of – as I couldn’t put it down and then went straight onto the next book in the series – Protector and finished that the same day, before lunch.

These books are just meant to be read and keep your attention and interest in the main characters, all the way through. One Slayer, on a mountain top full of dragons, accepted by her enemies and with the power to release their ancestors’ souls, has to find the strength to do what is right and bring peace to their people.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy of this book from the authors, and although I am a bit late to reviewing this book, that was due to ill health and NOT these books – I just wish I had read them earlier! I have freely given my own opinion of the book above and hope other readers enjoy it as much as I have.

I so loved this story. I don't have the words to do it justice but it felt such an emotional journey. It has everything. Thrills, tension, magic, mystery and tender moments too.
The epic struggle of trying to undo centuries of prejudice and fear and wrongfully wicked traditions is no easy task. Yet we see Julianna become more than equal to the task. Instead of her killing a dragon on her 18th Birthday she fell in love with one . But dragons shift into humans and live almost human lives.
Tradition dictated that every 18 killed their first dragon but instead of killing them the dragons soul is trapped in the sword and it's body is kept in hibernation.
This story puts these wrongs right. But to say more would spoil the story.
This is most definitely a MUST read.
I can't say enough how much I enjoyed this and look forward to the next in the series.

This is book 2 in the Dragon Tamer series and I must say that it was even better than the 1st book, I love the cover it’s such a gorgeous picture. In this story Julianna with the help of Ash a dragon shifter try to save the souls of the other dragons that had been killed by other Slayers. She needs to know more about the swords first so she goes to the Goblins they are the ones that had created the swords, but things aren’t that ever easy as Julianna and Ash find out. This is such a fantastic story and I definitely look forward to getting my hands on book 3 Protector, there’s action, adventure, intrigue and so much more to keep you entertained and turning the pages. A 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

A fiery read!

Free the dragons...
Unite them all...

The second book was even better than the first! So incredible. So captivating. So gorgeous. I cannot get even of these characters, of this world.

In this book, we learn so many truths hidden behind the lies. The real enemy is revealed. After that ending (no cliffhanger!), I cannot wait to see what they discover. So many questions answered yet it revealed more unanswered questions. These authors sure know how to right a book that keeps the reader hooked.

Full of dragons, dragon slayers, loyalty, decisions, trust, courage, secrets, danger, lies and romance.

Perfect for readers of paranormal romance/fantasy romance.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I've always been a fan of dragons, but this series brings them to light in a new way. When the girl that assumed she would be a slayer ends up leaving her home to live with the dragon she thought would be her first kill, and they end up joining draon-kind to help set the souls of hundreds of other dragons free, they encounter many new personalties & creatures along the way. I would recommend this book for fans of dragons (obviously) and ya adventure novels.

Armitage and Culican followed up The Slayer with a fantastic sequel filled with excitement, battles, love, trust, and loyalty. Our heroine must search her way through all of these to do what she believes is right and just in her world. Her world is a dangerous, but fascinating world of magic and mystery created in such vivid detail by Armitage and Culican. This book reveals more of our characters' backgrounds, but keeps you wanting more. Can't wait for the next installment.

I loved getting to see more of Julianna and Ash in their journey to save all the dragons. Their journey is hard and full of perils and yet they don't back down and they keep working together to find a solution and to carry it out. I just loved how everything worked out and how it has all come together so far.

This trilogy was a wonderful excursion I was able to take in the comfort of my own home. The characters were lively and endearing, the setting is where we would all love to be and the storyline was fluid and exciting. From start to finish, there was never a dull moment. I always am thrilled when a love story can be tucked into the story.

Not a bridge!

I love when a 2nd book in a series has meat & action. This truly brings us a closer understanding the past and how this battle came about. Great action, twists and turns!

Ash is growing on me. I still feel a bit distant from him. However, I am liking Julianna's perseverance and different perspective. Communication… go figure!

Wonderful use of world building. I'd love to have sat with Julianna & Ash on the mountain side looking over the forest and village below. ❤️

Well edited and a nice ending. =) I'm off to read Protector now. Yes, you're going to want to have it on hand and ready to read!!

My star ratings include these 5 elements:
1★ story line
1★ engaging characters
1★ use of world building/descriptive
1★ being well edited or narrated
1★ the ending
