Brenda Nicholas was a ringleader who lived off of scamming the elderly. That is how she met Patrick Fleming, a two-time Purple Heart recipient who served his country in Vietnam. Patrick was very welcoming because he thought that Brenda was his friend’s niece, so he gave her a tour of his apartment. He had no idea that she was intending to rob him. She wanted his expensive coin collection and was ready to do anything to get her hands on it. Her plan resulted in a vicious killing that shocked the entire city of Seattle.
