To begin with, the start of this volume was perfect. I am so happy about the beginning. I am entirely on Team Rui now lol. A strong supporter for sure. It was such a wholesome arc, especially with Arisu-chan. Such a unique relationship between Natsuo and Arisu, ending perfectly.

The best volume so far. The drama is over the top but it all feels geniune and good in this volume. I have said before, that it is much better without Hina as a love interest adnd this volume cemented that. There are so many moments that shine in this volume. Even the new character at the cram school has a good stroy arc. The side story is touching and beautiful too. I am fearful that the next volume will be a step down but for now, this is what I came to this series for.

This volume was mid. Sure it makes me happy to see Rui finally happy but why does the author have to introduce a whole new character and give them an arc instead of exploring the relationship between Rui and Natsuo? I guess it's easier for her to write drama about two characters not getting together rather than write about the actual relationship lol
Also the sneak peak of the next volume has me worried... Fuck miss groomer Hina-sensei all of my homies hate miss groomer Hina-sensei.

Not a fan of the new girl, Arisu Tsubaki, sa it felt kinda forced for her introduction to the story. The story arc for her I hope is over already though they did have them both advance to class A together so they will be able to keep them together. I like that they have the parts of Rui still there and not all about how prep school took away his time to spend with her.

Amazing

It was fantastic possibly my favorite volume so far. You can’t help but be invested in the story and characters.

The tone is so wild in this series but it just works on me. How else could I be into all the silly and messy drama but also be sobbing at the "date" side story with Natsuo's dad and nothing that happens feels too out of place?

As expected as a lot of what happened is, I was happily surprised with Momo's choice. I also thought Natsuo's dad thinking he was hearing porn was pretty funny.

The ugly duckling arc went about as well as I could expect but feels very superfluous. I think the character as she goes on to integrate into the group will go well but the awkward attempt at an anti-bullying arc is too clumsy to really get behind. I did not expect to get a makeover episode but this series is all over the place!

For the farce that this is, I think the relationship at the centre of the series currently is so wholesome and full of real care and communication. It is sweet.
