In these fascinating novellas connected to the Belador series, there are quick-witted escapes and several unexpected revelations. The first book is about an individual who works for this organization, while the next story gives insight into something that has caused me much pondering about Evalle and her pet, Feenix. I am always excited to read anything about the interesting world created by Dianna Love, as it is centered around those who try to keep humans safe from the often very frightening and definitely dangerous supernatural beings who frequently think of mortals as prey. It is advisable to read the beginning stories in the series first, as it would make the details clearer since these two books enhance this world, not introduce it. Rating – 4.5 Stars

Deadly Fixation

Just when Devon Fortier thinks he will be able to capture some trolls for taking part in prohibited transactions in Savannah, the Belador operative has to contend with the bounty hunter who is looking for one of the criminals. He knows Joleen Mac from a previous mission, and though their agendas are very different, they agree hunting together may help them reach their particular objectives. As they draw closer to their targets, the threat to them and many others also becomes more perilous.

I enjoyed seeing how Devon and Joleen would react when having to join forces, as there is certainly a huge difference in how they each see the situation. The risks to each of them is high, while humans who are unaware such paranormal entities exist must also be kept safe. With each new adventure, I become more and more intrigued with this urban fantasy setting. DEADLY FIXATION is a compelling undertaking by two determined characters who never give up until all hope is lost.

Fire Bound

The latest task that Evalle Kincaid is working on for the Beladors is even stranger than most previous assignments. As she and several other team members try to solve the puzzling mission, they come upon some startling evidence, and what Evalle finds at a mysterious location changes her life forever.

There are plenty of questions needing answers in this entertaining story featuring Evalle and some of my favorites from the series, as what they must face has no explanation at first. When she and her teammates put their minds together, anything can happen and often does. Suspenseful danger can be found throughout FIRE BOUND, and there are also some emotional moments involving Evalle which made me smile yet affected me, too. The background information that I learned is most welcome as it explains a big fact about Feenix that I have often thought about but did not know.

I have submitted this review after listening to the audiobook of this title within the series set box.

Devon, a Belador, had stuck up on a group of trolls, molesting another. He was just about to take them all down when a female bounty hunter turned up.
From there on in, it was a game of slash and bang. The one that they both wanted was stillon the run, and they had to.play nice together to make this happen.

Insufficient background about the two protagonists. It's not that important, but I was curious to know, when did they meet before? Yes, it's a short story, but it was too short. Not enough plot development.

What a previous look back at how Evalle found Feenix!

Both of the stories were super fun! I won't recap because everyone else does. But I will say, I can not wait for the next book! Thank you, Ms. Love, for throwing me a bone...or perhaps I should say some nuts and bolts. Lol

I know this is from the Belador series, but I feel such a disconnect from it. Maybe if I read it again after I reread the main series it will make more sense and I'll connect more with it? Not a bad short, just felt lost.

I love this author.

I have read all of her books and find each story as exciting and spell binding as the last. I love the way this short story explains Feenix.

Not bad

This wasn't a bad book to read. It's not as good as one about Evalle but not bad. Love the Belador series

I enjoyed this story, but I almost always enjoy a full-length novel better, and this was no exception. Still great characters and writing, I just wish it was longer.

I really enjoyed reading this event to Savannah a lot. I live in Georgia, so I’m not really too far from Savannah and I was kind of exciting reading about somewhere I’ve been.
