"It is time to speak of that which we never mention: the prophecy, the omen, the fact that I have come of age..."

In the decades since an innocent human slave was taken to Castle Dragon, against her will, for the sole purpose of bearing a son for the monarchy, much has changed in the Realm: Alliances made in secret have flourished; sons born of veiled paternity have grown to adulthood; and dangerous warlocks, seasoned witches, and cunning shades have risen to powerful positions.

Yet all is not as it seems.

Beneath the shadow of an eerie double moon, a dark, tormented evil is rising...

Stirring.

Awakening.

A prophecy is beckoning: "It is time. It is time." And a lethal dragon prince is growing restless to seize the throne of his bestial ancestors.

King Demitri will never step aside.

Mina Louvet--indeed, all the Sklavos Ahavi are caught between worlds.

And the web of lies spun by the eldest dragon prince--the treachery, deception, and perversion--may very well spark a war of fire and fury unlike anything the Realm has ever seen--or hoped to survive.

Great reward requires greater risk, and every beating heart will be wagered in this high-stakes game of blood and reckoning.

From the #1 bestselling author of Dragons Realm and The Blood Curse Series, comes the highly-anticipated sequel that will leave you breathless...

Tessa Dawn grew up in Colorado, where she developed a deep affinity for the Rocky Mountains. After graduating with a degree in psychology, she worked for several years in criminal justice and mental health before returning to get her master’s degree in nonprofit management.

Tessa began writing as a child and composed her first full-length novel at the age of eleven. By the time she graduated high-school, she had a banker’s box full of short-stories and novels. Since then, she has published works as diverse as poetry, greeting cards, workbooks for kids with autism, and academic curricula. Her Dark Fantasy/Gothic Romance novels represent her long-desired return to her creative-writing roots and her passionate flair for storytelling.

Tessa currently splits her time between the Colorado suburbs and mountains with her two children and “one very crazy cat.” She hopes to one day move to the country where she can own horses and what she considers “the most beautiful creature ever created” -- a German Shepherd.

She is a member of NINC; SFWA; and RWA(PAN).

Writing is her bliss.

I confused how to write a review for this book.

I love this author, but I’ve read her other series and left this series for so long and I forgot about it until came up again when I check Blood Curse series.

So let me tell you something.
I read THIS Dragon Reign, three times last week and this week already!
First, I skimmed and picked the part that I liked, there where I feel flabbergasted, what had happened in this story? So yeah, I started read book #1.

Book #1 is the down part of the whole story, but I have to read it to understand what is going on here. And you must read it to enjoy this one to the fullest.

After that, I read this one again and again to make sure, that was really happened in this story and I love it!

The book should ré title to 'The Glorious of Deception!' 😳😂😍

The fights were bloody, very brutal and there wasn’t sweet romance in here.
The H/h love each other strongly but the length they took to be together is full with deceptions, along the way others became victims of their actions.

But I don’t really mind.
Almost everyone who involved in this deception, did it with their eyes wide open.
Except the children...

So, I was very happy when these two make it right for the victims of their actions at the end.

This was a slight step down from the first book. It took awhile to get into the story. The first 50 pages reviewed information from the first story but also introduced a lot of new information. It was an information overload. We got new characters, new couples, new factions. I questioned whether I wanted to continue. The great deception information was so darn repetitive throughout the whole book. That being said, I had a lot of fun with this book, after the first 50 pages, I couldn’t put it down.

A few thoughts-
It is 275 pages and sooo much happens that it all just felt rushed.

We were introduced to a new faction of people and I don’t think it helped the story.

We get two new couples and more of the main couple from the first book. I wish we spent more time with just one new couple. I liked the time we got with the OG couple from the first book, that was nice to follow.

The action was awesome but also short lived.

There is a smidge of tasteful spice in this one. Like a sprinkle.

Potential spoiler- someone returns from the past and it was thrilling but it also felt anticlimactic. It was over as fast as it started.

This is a book that I’d love to see republished. With the appropriate edits of story lines including extensions of some, this could be the perfect story.

Dragons Reign is book two of the Dragons Realm books. I would suggest getting Dragons Realm before reading Dragons Reign as this book is the continuation and should be read in order to get the entire story and background. I loved Dragons Realm completely and so I had high expectations for Dragons Reign and I was not disappointed in the least. In fact, I believe this story only grew stronger with this second book. Author Tessa Dawn can weave in and out of a story so eloquently while switching between plots and each individual character’s journey. This book is entwined with danger, seduction, scandal, betrayal, and unconditional love. Fight scenes that will make you cringe, lethal supernatural creatures that will overwork your imagination, and drop-dead gorgeous Dragons so fierce, deadly, and protective over their chosen mates that you will need to remember to just breathe. I give this book a strong 5 stars as it will make you reach into the innermost core of your soul to awaken the dragon that sleeps within us all. Happy reading!

I was absolutely thrilled that there was a sequel to Dragons Realm. I adored the first book and the second is just as wonderful. There is everything from dragon shifters to warlocks and giants along with deception, endearing love and a little necromancy. Dante and Mina finally get the life together they've always wanted after the prophecy comes to pass and they rally their family and friends around them. Not to say there aren't some battles to be won along the way, but you'll have to read the book to find out.

More Dragons Please

A wonderful continuation of Dante and Mines story. Not as much personal interaction between them, but a very well told story. It gives us a tantalizing look at some of the supportive characters we have come to love. More books in this Realm please.

If you like your fantasy dark and your dragons feral, then look no further. This is a story that you will not only devour, but will also devour you. In Dragon’s Realm (book one of this dramatic saga) we are introduced to a land of violence, corruption, and an intrafamilial power struggle full of unbelievable twists and wicked secrets. Tessa Dawn continues this adrenaline infusion into Dragon’s Reign in a series of plots within plots so full of danger you will hold your breath and delightful steamy bliss that will leave you breathless. Will Dante prevail? Will he and Mina finally get their happily ever after? I highly recommend you dive in and discover the answers you seek. You won’t be disappointed. Audiobook listeners beware operation of vehicle during certain scenes as you may possibly swerve off the road.

The Prophecy's time has finally come. Prince Dante Dragona has come of age and he is ready is take the throne. But a treachery of the past raises its head and threatens to foil the carefully planned strategy of Prince Dante. Much is at stake in this mighty attempt. All the lies and deceptions will come spilling forth and many are doomed to be caught up in the aftermath. The question is, will be be for good or evil? Is all the great risk worthy of the reward to be gained, for every beating heart will be wagered in this bloody game and reckoning. Fantastic sequel to book one. It started a little slow for me but picked up and swept me along to the end.
