Two witches hellbent on destroying each other. An unholy quest for a black magic artifact. A city about to become a magical war zone.
My name is Mike Raven. After demons murdered my parents, Joe Skulick took me in. He became a friend and a father and turned a frightened boy into a monster hunter feared by the Legions of Hell. I owe him everything and would gladly trade my life for his. And I now might have to.
A witch is targeting my city. And she’s taken Skulick’s soul. For now, his heart still beats. But I only have 48 hours to find my partner’s soul and return it to his body.
The witch and her followers are seeking an ancient relic that could alter reality as we know it. To stop her, I'm about to team with another spell-slinger—the witch’s sister.
I absolutely love William massa books. The revelations in witch wars are astounding. The psychological along with the paranormal make for a wild ride. Great fun reading. A fast page Turner.
I love this series! I just can’t put this down. The development of the story is most entertaining. I finished this installment in one sitting. Great read.
The lines between good and evil blur as natural enemies must put aside their mistrust if they hope to save the Cursed City and Raven's mentor. Another exciting adventure for Raven. Expect action, revelations, and plot twists.
Witch Wars is an action packed book written by William Massa. This book draws you in from the very first page and doesn’t give you much time to for much else than reading. So be prepared for an all righter. This book has quite an interesting plot that makes you wonder how Raven gets out of this bind and saves his partner. The author keeps you glued to the pages pretty much the entire time and there are some nice twists hidden in this book. The pace feels fast, but really isn’t, it just feels that way because of all the things that are happening, I think by now you should be used to this by this series, I for one don’t expect anything different.
Raven sure has a huge problem on his hand in this one but thankfully he has some good support and some that you don’t really expect. I am curious to see how he gets out of this one and no I don’t do spoilers but this one sure was interesting and set up the next one beautifully, which is where I am headed next.
Still being pursed by old allies and friends, Raven is again thrust into action. Having stopped the Ghoul's attempt to alter the world, this time the witches are on the war path, trying to return the Cursed City to medieval times. As with the previous books, this one moves at a fast pace, as Raven tries to save his old partner's soul. We also learn a little more about Cyon, the demon, who has gate crashed Raven's body.
I do love this series, and while it's as well written as ever, the ongoing battle with the (litteral) inner demon takes over the story somewhat here. The scene where the protagonist relives the demon reliving history with the titular witch is not the easiest reading in the series, one of a couple of ongoing subplots that could be put to the bed. The finale is far fetched but some nice ideas and a twist that does bring things together nicely though.
Now we have witches . Yet another attempt to destroy Cursed City . Raven and his demon are truly working as partners . Terrific imagination at work here . You do have to read all stories to see the full impact . Thank you Mr Massa for using Kindle Unlimited . Otherwise I would not have been able to enjoy this series .
Another well written book by William Massa. For those that have never read this series, pick up the first book and get caught up. Massa is an artful storyteller and his books will keep you turning pages until the end.
Raven finally knows the truth about his demon. Together they beat the witches and open the Vatican eyes. With Archer at his side now he is more deadly. Look out Cursed City
I love this whole series so far! William really develops his plot and characters! I’m even kind of rooting for the Demon he’s possessed by! Read his books..you will not be disappointed!
The 7th Shadow Detective book gave me thrills, fright and plenty of action. The Witch Wars also provide a surprising depth in the development of Mike/Cyon and that made this story one of the most important so far. Again William Massa delivered a great and creepy adventure, full of action, horror and fast paced storytelling. One of my few "go-to series" when I found myself disappointed from other books/series.
