What a truly delightful story, about an aristocratic frog and his adventures with his tortoise friend. It is one of those wonderful, classic stories that can be enjoyed by both children and adults. Some of the more sophisticated parts would not be understood by children, but there is still plenty of action that they would appreciate. The well-read adult will truly appreciate Colling's imaginary world of an old English aristocrat (Frederick Fitzherbert Frog) living in his ancestral home (Frogmorton), struggling to keep up with the taxes, and adjusting to the modern world, all while stoicly maintaining his dignity and pride. Plus, it's super cute.
