When Paul Fischer is approached by two pushy nuns to help prove that a woman who ran a saloon in Jacksonville's gold rush days should be a saint (see GOLD!), he convinces himself that unlike his other adventures, he can't possibly get hurt seaching for sainthood. As usual, he is wrong. In this fifth Paul Fischer book, the women closest to him in the first four books all end up in Ashland at the same his ex-wife, Pam Livingston, Liz Mendoza, and Terri Mankins. None have committed to him, and he is left to try to figure out what their relationships are. To make matters worse, some of Paul's research is apparently a threat to someone because once again his life is in danger.
