All she wants for Christmas is a safe place to hide
Camilla’s been on the run for a year, since her mother’s death left her at the mercy of her stepfather who expects her to step into her mother’s shoes…in all ways. And as a powerful man in their small town he’s convinced everyone she’s delusional. Even her own grandmother believes him. A travel plaza in the Mojave Desert has been her haven until, just before Christmas, it’s not. He’s found her. How much farther can she go with little money and a broken-down car? How about outer space? Impossible.
Arvan and Tris travel the galaxies in search of a special fuel that makes their technology possible—and the third member of their relationship. But the Universe is a big place and the odds of finding either slim. Especially in the back of beyond, where they are not allowed contact with the locals. Terra may offer what they seek, fuel wise, but as they close in on the location from above, they spot a female racing across the desert landscape, a male with a weapon in hot pursuit. Breaking all their rules, they transport her to the ship to save her life. But now what to do? They can’t send her back with knowledge of “aliens” near Terra. And there’s a bigger complication. She may be their third.

OMG, this book started off with such promise...but considering how distrustful and wary Camille was of everyone, I found her immediate reaction to the guys a bit unbelievable. Had so much time not been spent on the effort she went into rejecting friendship & hook-ups, plus the lengths she went to protecting herself from her Step-Father, I think it wouldn't have bothered me as much. Also, Evil Step-Father was a bit OTT. I know she needed to "run" to get where the aliens could rescue her, but if she'd stayed in the diner and called the cops - with 2 years of people interacting with her, knowing her mindset and intact sanity and local cops who've also probably gotten to know her and who would have investigated the asshole's claim of incompetence - she'd have been able to fend him off long enough to get her shit and skedaddle with a better plan in place. Which could have still put her in a position to be rescued, later.
I tell you what, though: If the author ever decides to edit and lengthen this novella, adding in a longer adaptation time (allowing the FMC to ease into this new situation, to gradually fall for the aliens) maybe by traveling with them to find this elusive mineral they need to pay off the ship mortgage (*snort*) and establish themselves as successful traders - plus a little sexing between the guys (more than just kissing) - I'd read it in a hot minute.
Camilla is on the run from her step father, who decided that since her mother died, she could now take her mother's place in his bed. She has escaped for a year before he finds her again. Tristan and Arvan are on earth looking for a mineral that can be used for fuel for their planets ships. They see her running from a man a transport her to their ship. Tristan and Arvan are already mates but they are missing their third. As soon as they touch her she orgasms. The biggest downfall is that it is a very short book that spans only hours in between when they find her and the end of the book. What I read was good but I wanted to read more and it just ended. Nothing else was mentioned about the mineral either. They could have asked her if she knew if there was any or something to end that line in the story rather than just leaving. I understand that this is supposed to be a short romance novella, but I guess I wanted the loose ends tied.
I really enjoyed this very short alien abduction ménage romance. I loved the revenge at the end. Not really a Christmas story, although it takes place at Christmas time
No one could have expected the future to lay out as it did. A honeymoon trip turned into a kidnapping and a brush with Karma. An excellent — albeit short— novella. Good stuff overall.
I really enjoyed this book, especially at the end when he got his comeuppance and the connection between the three of them. Brilliant read cant wait to read more from this author.
An amazing read that will draw you into the story and make you laugh and burn !!! Richards has a way of telling her story that you will love!! Scorching Hot and Sensual, you don't want to miss out on a single second of this book.
This was barely readable. The characters were not well developed. Camilla would have been able to prove she was mentally stable after working for a long period of time and her stepfather would not have so much influence in a different state.
