This book finished at 27%. It was an ok story but it lacked depth for me. I didn't get a clear picture of the characters at all and the lack of communication between them was really annoying. Also the title of Exposed - A bad boy romance was rather misleading, Max wasn't a bad boy, he was a good father and ran his own company, a steady regular guy and I've no idea what was exposed about him or the story, so for me the title did not match the story told.

This is the first book I read by Lisa Lace. In the story of Exposed of course Maxwell is a handsome rich at a CEO, Maxwell has a daughter Bella he’s a single father. Maxwell was heart broken, Bella’s mom left him and didn’t want her child so she signed all her rights to Maxwell. After what he has been through he doesn’t want to fall in love again because he knows just how bad it hurts. Then there’s Laura after her fiancé cheats on her she has sworn off men, so much goes on with these two. 4 star read for me

Happy Reading

Exposed
Lisa Lace

A hot little number by Lisa Lace. If you love strong headed bad boys and their attitudes plus the strong willed woman that drives him nuts. You got it.
Max is used to the single life but knows his daughter needs a mother figure. One way to do that is to vet a woman close to him for the job. Only the contract may be straight forward but his heart is somewhere else. Longing to say something more... Gasp is the great Maxwell afraid of commitment?
Laura is happy with the new job her friend got her. Even with having to punch her new boss before knowing him. She still wishing she hasn't done that... but when she is asked to do another job, involving a child and a contracted marriage. Can she really shutdown her heart from the whole picture and not feel a thing for anyone? She wants more but the man she loves acts like its nothing. Can she change his mind or will she drop it all and leave it all behind.... Even her broken heart?

Wealthy and successful CEO, Maxwell Brideau who is fondly called by his employees as Mr.B, has a cute little daughter Bella (Isabella), fathering her singly after his disastrous marriage life. One night he finds his daughter's nanny in a bar during her working hours, tries to confront her when she struggles to escape from his grasp, he was punched by a girl. Though Mr.B fires his nanny, he is haunted by the memory of feisty green eyed girl who had punched him without understanding the situation, but least he expected was that she will be working under him as a temporary assistant, Laura, for his brother. Laura a graduate in textile designs, but agrees to work with full heart in an international contractor company where her friend works too, after finding her ex fiance cheating on her and to payback some debts. Both struggle to get off their sexual attraction toward each other, also Max it is much more difficult when he learns Laura is virgin. Max notices that Bella is more attached to Laura than any other woman and how Laura cares for her, this makes him approach Laura with a proposition with benefits all. Bella gets a mother who she is craving, he gets Laura who he wants from very moment they met and Laura gets money to pay her debts and chase her dreams. But he never knew that his heart will get exposed in this arrangement.
I voluntarily reviewing an ARC of the book, I enjoyed the book a lot. I loved Laura's character, she is a woman with guards, loves Bella and Max, but stumbles with her feeling when Max confuses her with his wrong signals. I really donno what to say about Max, he is CEO a dedicated loving dotted father to his daughter, but sees everything as business, he struggle to define his love in terms other than business, which only makes Laura to run away for hills. Like Sam, Max's brother, even felt like kissing his a$$ for being so dumb. I enjoyed Bella, Sam and Riley's characters too, Bella is being a split fire, whirlwinds with her energy, also very understanding for her age. While Sam plays a supportive brother, knows his place and values people, he is matured than his older brother and Riley, a bestie every girl needs.

I liked the idea of this book and I am glad I read it it was not a bad read at all it was interesting and had some parts that I really felt for the main characters. One area that really put me off was that Laura is a virgin a trend in these books I know but it just seems odd to have saved herself for so long and then she jumps into bed with the big man himself her bosses brother also the CEO of the company she is temping for, it was just a tad much but I learned to roll with it because it is the bases of many of these books.

The story itself was heartwarming the little girl Bella was so adorable in this book a little girl who just wanted a forever mommy, and Laura feels right in love with her again this is pretty predictable but it adds heart once in a while I would like the instant bound to take a little longer like in reality. There was a lot of miscommunication and inability to talk to each other causes a lot of drama. I thought that Maxwell was a well-rounded character but was too demanding and closed off for a good part of the book he keeps messing up every time he tried to say I love you. I liked that they were able to find common ground and make a life for themselves. The epilogue left a bit to be desired with the story being a year later they suddenly adopted a baby I did not get the point of this anywhere in the book, it never even hinted at adoption or her being unable to have a baby I just thought this was an odd add in.

This book included extras Blaze, Mismatch, and Unwrapping daddy I only read Mismatch and Unwrapping daddy they were both good however there were a lot of errors in Unwrapping daddy names being mixed up and such but it was something I could get past both books were good and I will do reviews on them on their book pages.

Lisa Lace wrote an amazing story. Maxwell is a rich and handsome CEO and single dad to his adorable daughter Bella. Max really isn't your typical book boyfriend- he doesn't spend his free time partying at bars and clubs. He would rather be home with Bella. After a bad breakup with Bella's mom, he doesn't do relationships either. His ex-wife didn't want a child so she signed away all her rights and left town. Of course, she took a hefty paycheck with her. Laura is off men after her fiancé cheats on her. With a recommendation from her best friend, she goes to work for Max's brother Sam. After seeing how Laura and Bella bond, he proposes an arrangement. Laura will marry Maxwell for a year and be his wife completely and help him raise Bella. In exchange, Max will help Laura with his business contacts and pay off her student loans. Her dream is to be a designer. Of course, Max is very attracted to Laura as well and after he receives a text meant for her friend Riley, he is even more intrigued. However, neither realize how real things become and how strong their feelings become. Both want to continue but are too unsure to broach the subject. There were a few times I wanted to strangle Maxwell but it was obvious he was in love with Laura. After a few misunderstandings, can Max finally convince Laura what they have is real???? Loved the secondary characters Riley and Sam. Love how Sam brought out Maxwell's jealous and possessive side. Riley was cool that she told it like it was-no filter. I will definitely read more by Lisa Lace. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

I found this book interesting. I don’t normally read office romance but contract marriage I’ve read more often. It is always fun to see how things will work out. This was written beautifully and I even cried a few tears but I can’t give this book five stars because of how incredibly stubborn and so far gone into denial our main characters are. Yes, I realize there is a contract that omits emotions but they continue to misread the others actions and words and I found myself incredibly frustrated. Without that precious little girl I don’t think they would have realized or admitted to one another how they felt for one another. I admit I ground my teeth from time to time due to frustration but the characters worked well with one another when they weren’t thinking and just doing. I felt bad for Max because he was trying much too hard but also oblivious and rather complicating things that should have been quite simple to say while Laura continued to misread and miss key actions that he made that spoke of his true feelings. I also understand she didn’t have much experience but seriously? I think she was just as oblivious!

And our cute, precocious child. She was utterly precious and I loved her dearly. She nearly broke my heart a few times in the story but I wouldn’t have changed her at all. I do love how excitable and cute she was. So cute!

Laura decides to take a break from men when her boyfriend cheats on her. She's working as a temp for Max's company working with his brother Sam. When she first meets his daughter Bella the little girl is torturing the staff watching her and immediately bonds with Laura. Laura's friend thinks she needs to start dating again and in response Laura's message to her friend is accidentally sent to Max. Max sees how his daughter loves Laura and given his attraction to her also he comes up with a plan that he thinks will benefit the both of them. He will pay off her loans if she will marry him for a year and being his wife in every sense of the word as well as a mother to Bella. If she agrees they will immediately start traveling overseas for work after the marry. Laura agrees to his arrangement mostly because she loves little Bella. What happens when everything starts feeling real for them? Can Laura manage to convince Max that they don't need the agreement when they love each other?

This was a great fast paced story. The characters were strong and the story was well written. The secondary characters add to the story more than usually happens. The chemistry between Max and Laura is amazing. If you haven't had a chance to read this book I would grab it now. Its a must read.

I was first introduced to Lisa Lace's books through her TerraMates series. I was always amazed that she was/is able to write so many stories that are nothing alike. She is definitely creative and has a mind I envy. It seems recently she has ventured out of the paranormal romance genre and into the contemporary romance. For some reason I never really cared for contemporary romance, but because I was always impressed with her creativity I decided to give them a try. Boy am I glad I did. Lisa Lace has talent. That is for sure.
This story is a little frustrating because the main characters have so many misunderstandings because of a lack of communication skills. Frustrating to say the least, but rooted in reality. How many times has that happened to you in your own life. You know the old "men are from Mars and women are from Venus" saying. I guess what I'm trying to say is that the situations contained with this story are believable. Okay, maybe we don't all have billionaires offering us the world, but you know what I mean. I was able to lose myself in the story and have a really enjoyable time. I hope she does not stop writing because I would truly miss reading her stories. I hope they never end!

Maxwell Brideau, AKA Mr.B, has everything wrapped up in his little girl, Bella (Isabella), who he looks after as a single dad after his marriage died. But when he finds his nanny working in a bar during her nannying hours, he gets punched for his troubles!

Laura is a graduate and new assistant of Max's brother. She agrees to work their after finding her fiancé was cheating on her and has to pay off some debts. She never expected to deal with Max or her attraction to him!

Max struggles when he finds out that Laura is a virgin and that Bella has latched on to her more than any other woman. But what will Laura make of his newest proposal, one with lots of benefits!

I'm struggling to enjoy this as much as the other contemporary romances from this author that I've read. maybe because I'm not into the whole billionaire thing. I loved Laura's character, she is naïve and fierce by equal measure, especially when it comes to Bella.

I really enjoyed this one by Lisa Lace. Mrs. Lace can write some awesome alien romance but I'm really loving her contemporary romances as well! This one was really sweet and had you rooting for the characters at the same time as wanting to reach into the book and slap some sense into them.
Laura although sweet and somewhat innocent, knew what she wanted and wasn't scared to go after it....for the most part. Maxwell was a business genius but completely horrible when it came to women. Bella was completely adorable and I think she made the book! Seriously cam it get any cuter than a small child directing the Prince and princess?!!

They say life is nothing without love. To a point that is true. In this story it's definitely true. We see so many sides of what can go wrong and does go wrong that it makes us laugh, cry, scream but most importantly love. Max is this guy, rich yes but also just a guy needed something I his life but he just can't figure it out.  Then there's Laura, a smart, kind, loving and independent woman who wants all that and more. She just doesn't know it yet. When they decide to get married their life goes on a roller coaster ride of so many possibilities they can't see what's right I front 9f them until the very end. I absolutely loved this book and hope that you will love it as much as me. I give it 5 stars. I voluntarily reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader's Copy

Can two people who have an arranged marriage via a contract avoid falling for each other? Laura and Max are a fabulous love story. When Laura runs into Max at a bar and ends up hitting him she doen't realize that he is her boss. Laura doesn't want anything to do with men after she found out her boyfriend was with someone else and they were actually in the process of having sex. Max doesn't trust woman after the mother of his daughter ran out on both of them. When he sees the connection Laura and Bella have, he knows he needs to marry her. Can they fight the feeling that will come to the forefront? Will this end their marriage and Laura's relationship with Bella? Well, I'm not going to tell you. PIck the book up today to find out.

After graduating from college, Laura knows that in order to succeed, she needs to pay her loans off first. Maxwell is a single father whom would do anything for his daughter. One meeting and they get off on the wrong feet. Will Laura get the future she wants? Will both of them ever be able to admit to their feelings?

Steamy read! Both of these characters had baggage from their past, but I thought that was why in the end they were perfect for each other. I did think that for as business smart Maxwell was, he wasn't necessarily lady smart. Laura definitely still had hang ups from her last relationship, but I was proud of her for admitting, even if to herself, that she wanted to work on their relationship. Good read!

Laura swears off men after her boyfriend cheated on her. She's working as a temp and meets a little girl torturing the staff. However, that adorable little girl seems to like Laura and they have an instant bond. In response, her father Max makes Laura a proposition: they'll be married for a year and he'll pay off her loans. That way his daughter gets a mother figure and he can "get Laura out of his mind by having her." Well, of course that's not going to work. They'll need in close proximity, learning things about each other and at night its alone time for the adults!
Lisa Lace does a great job making a story that's been done seem unique! She puts her own take on things and I would definitely recommend this book.

Max is a single dad that would do anything for his child, including finding her a mother. He has been hurt in the past and is going to make sure that doesn’t happen again. The next relationship he has will come with a contract. Laura knew she made the biggest mistake of her life when she punched Max in the face at that bar, especially when she found out that it was her new boss’s partner/brother. Somehow she managed to keep her job and got an offer to be Max’s wife. As long as she takes care of his daughter Bella she will be debt free after the two year marriage, but will her heart survive?
Lisa Lace is a brilliant writer that can make a story come to life. You have to keep reading to know what happens until the very end.

I really liked this story despite Max treating his relationship with Laura as a business deal right down to including a contract. The plot was great and had me hooked from the very beginning. Laura was the perfect match for Max. I loved their interactions with Bella, Max's daughter. That just made my heart melt! I was glad Sam, Max's brother, finally got through to him about treating Laura as a business deal and not telling her his true feelings. I was glad to see they got their HEA at the end. I hope we'll see Sam and Riley's story soon as I loved them a secondary characters.

Exposed is so much more than I anticipated. This story is well written and characters are well developed, though Max is a bonehead sometimes. Honestly, my only issue with the book is based solely on my frustration at Laura and Max's crap communication skills, but it works for the story. This is a sweet, sexy read that is, at times, intense and frustrating (only because I wanted to bang their heads together a few times ;-) ) and filled with feels. Overall, I really liked this book a lot and wouldn't hesitate in recommending it. I can't wait to see what Lisa Lace has coming out next.

Great read!

Maxwell is a complicated man. Laura has some simple needs. Together, there's a heck of a lot of chemistry and unspoken feelings. As their relationship/agreement progresses, so do their emotions. How will they deal with these feelings when they have been basically excluded from their arrangement?

This book gave me all the warm tingles. There was so much longing with these two as the story built up. I have to say that I loved Maxwell's brother, Sam. Would definitely love to read a story about him!

If ever there was a relationship that needed a translator Maxwell and Laura's would be it. Neither are willing to admit what they really want or feel. Unfortunately, little Bella is the one who is getting hurt. Will Max and Laura sit and really talk about their relationship? Will Laura take her "dream" job in Milan? Will Max realize not everything is a business deal? I'm not telling but I suggest you read this book. It's a great story and you will love little Bella.

We meet feisty Laura who slaps a man in the bar for, in her opinion, harassing a lady. Turns out that man, was looking for his adorable daughter, Bella, while the lady in question was the sitter who was partying. He turn out to be her new boss!!!!

The chemistry between Maxwell and Laura is sizzling, the fake marriage turns real really fast but both of them are stubborn and the lack of communication is their major problem.

Well-written story, wonderful characters, no cliffhangers and a HEA.

Billionaire Maxwell is a single father to his daughter Bella. He runs his own company with his brother Sam. Wonderful storyline, fantastic characters with sexy hot chemistry. Maxwell and Laura have a lot to work through because of misunderstandings but in the end they get their HEA ending. Bella is such a smart little girl who makes Max and Laura see and experience things through her eyes. Lisa Lace did a great job writing this story and keeping us readers turning the pages. Max, Laura and Bella

This was a good story, but I got tired of the back and forth between Maxwell and Laura. It reminded me of picking petals off a flower saying, "he loves me, he loves me not". I just wanted to shake the two of them to get their brains working. However, I liked the dynamic between Laura and Bella. It was a light-headedness that kept the story moving along. Lisa Lace gives the reader a story about two people who come together in an unconven6way - think business contract- but realize their attraction is very real. Now I will say there were several times that I wanted to slap both Laura and Max upside their head. I did think it was a stretch that Max could be that dense or that Laura, a smart intelligent woman, could be clueless.
The way this family comes together is sweet and you can just feel Balla's sweetness coming off the pages. This couple connects on all levels except communication.

Exposed by Lisa Lace

Maxwell and his brother Samuel work at the same business but Max is the boss. Max has a daughter Bella, Her mother left because she didn't want to be a mom, She wanted to be single and Max gave her a lot of money not to abort his daughter. Max is at a club waiting for a client when his nanny walks in without Bella. He get very upset and starts to cause a scene when a woman who's shorter then Max with beautiful green eyes come up to Max and punches him in the face, because he won't let the nanny go. This is just the beginning of their relationship and what a ride, I love this story. I had a hard time putting it down but I had to because in one part I cried so much I couldn't see to read. So keep some tissues close by. I received an ARC and have voluntarily left a review.

Exposed is about a marriage of convenience between and billionaire and office temp. While my initial reaction is that I like this book, my deep down reaction is a bit more confused. The lines between real emotion and business is blurred almost throughout the whole story. If the Mc’s were confused about it, it’s safe to say the readers are too. My rating is 3.5 stars.

Fantastic book. Insta-lust at it's finest with love finding it's way into their hearts later. Two people with past pain, just wanting release and no relationship. Maxwell and Laura have a communication problem. They put each other through more than is necessary, but that is what makes the book and their ending so great. Great book with great scenes and characters. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
