Fantastic collection of essays. Focused mostly on Aotearoa New Zealand but explores trans and gender diverse issues in other places, including Hong Kong, Samoa and the United States. Its authors aren’t afraid to tackle contentious topics like the link between recent prioritisations of “identity” over lived experience and late twentieth-century neoliberalism. Covers theory, case studies and language - a broad mix of topics.
