The information within is helpful, but I was waiting to hear more about specific scientific studies that explain the nature of an empath more in-depth than the author offered. I really liked the techniques that were shared; there are some I use without realizing it also helps with throttling the incoming amount of emotional information. I think this book is a great start for someone trying to understand their empathic nature.

I found that this was slightly superficial and surface level. This book might be for some, but was not for me. I found that some of these techniques are second nature. I did learn some new things.
