About 500,000 words of unnecessary filler and gratuitous rape designed to create cheap thrills in angsty overlong scenes that make this perfect for those seeking a very simple read. It's literally designed for those who loved to be tortured by overlong, never ending emotional mayhem that only makes sense in fanfic. Basically Riko and his lackeys rape and torture Neil for the first couple of chapters, then Ichirou rapes Neil for the rest of the fic. This is repeated in more than one of the authors fics since all her fics have a similar tone. It's crazy how we then have several copy cats who have written very similar fics with the same spotty as fu@k writing. If there's a Beta it's a crappy one, that story could've been told in 50,000 words max by cutting all that mundane dialogue and rape (it literally added 0 to the story). Good thing it's free. Be aware that this is a glorified rape fic, not a soft "non-conset" (if such a thing exist in 2020).

wow…. what a journey I think i like this better then way down we go and i NEVER thought i was gonna say that. the slow burn was just such a sad and happy experience to go through. this books neil went through SO MUCH and i’m so happy things went so well after so
much heart ache. It’s still kinda sad for me when he had so much pride in being a raven when that university caused him so much pains and agony. part of the reason he’s so proud of the ravens legacy is because they’ve reminded champions and worked so hard through all the trauma and abused they’ve faced together. so if they didn’t succeed what was all that agony for? nothing. that’s why when they said it’s either win or be nothing.

anyway this andriel relationship was very special and i loved the way it was written and how we got to see them through there 5 years of uni, i think that’s also why i love it more that WDWG.

Mucho abuso innecesario, mucho dialogo y banter innecesario, muchas escenas de relleno: que chota me importa a mi el entrenamiento de los ravens o como es un partido oficial.
1. vete al infierno Ichirou, tu y tu deseo obsesivo sobre Neil.
2. vete alv Marley, todo lo que salía de tu boca era innecesario y de relleno, tu participación en este fanfic no fue, segun yo, de ninguna ayuda.
3. Podrían haber sido unos dos años de universidad, ¿cual era la necesidad de alargar tanto el sufrimiento de Neil?
4.Los capítulos que si me gustaban eran los de Andrew, sin tanto comentario estúpido y banter innecesario. Pura terapia y ganas de ser mejor. Si lx autorx metió tanto abuso a Neil, ya que estaba, porque no hizo que Andrew fuera un poco mas agresivo? Canonicamente si sacó su cuchillo para amenazar a Nicky y Kevin para que se callaran, aquí no mas decia "callao o saco cuchillo", pero no hacía nada, y pucha que hubiera sido satisfactorio si lo hacía al menos una vez...
5.¿Que Andrew tuviera los huevos para ir y negociar con Ichirou? Que hombre. Y no solo eso, sino que en la negociación le dice "te doy el 40% de lo que gane, ni mas ni menos", uf.
6.Todo lo malo que le podia pasar a Neil, le pasó, YA DEJENLO EN PAZ.

Segui leyendo no mas porque soy chismosa y quería saber como cresta Andrew y Neil terminaban juntos, porque contra mas avanzaba la historia, mas lejos se iba Neil (fokin Ichirou). Si me tomó por sorpresa el cómo. pero bueno.

I knew that I'd be returning to fanfic one way or the other, after reading all these romance books. It makes all the more sense that it was All for the Game fandom that I've crashed into.

I've read quite a few and not many really inspired me like Armies. So color me surprised while I was reading Black as Is the Raven, He’ll Get a Partner, I saw a little note mentioning "Jain", a character from Armies. Jaw hit the floor. This writer did not just write one, BUT TWO of the greatest AftG ffs EVER!!

I think I loved Black just a bit more than Armies, because: Neil/Ichirou. Duh. It was something I never knew wanted but apparently NEEDED. Of course it is terrible, owning somebody, etc. etc, but both Ichirou and his "relationship" with Neil are SO. DAMN. INTRIGUING!

Also, I have to say, the POVs are perfect. Each chapter is divided between Andrew and Neil's POVs and you just get them so easily. I LOVED Andrew's POV especially, because, I'm a sucker for loved-up-yet-denying-his-feelings-also-fucked-up-yet-healing-Andrew so much that I can read him all day, every day. "His little birdy..." Gah!

was this really dark and problematic? yes. did I love it anyways? also yes. just Neil and Andrew and Jean and Marley and Meg <3
