Best frequency dictionary I've ever found, bar none. Has a Spanish phrase and English translation for each word. Has an alphabetical list in addition to the main frequency list. I went through it to fill in any patches I may have in my vocabulary, and they seem to have used a reasonably well-rounded corpus. Excellent book.

Se merece ser leido y estudiado.

Cuándo yo leía primero este libro no hay contexto concreto por el uso sino al fin y al cabo hay muchas.

A mi me realizé que cada palabra funciono como una herramienta individuo para expresar claramente mis intenciones. Aun así, lo ha sido un desafio largo, a menudo aburrido pero satisfaciendo y adictivo.

Todavía este solo está un paso de muchos otros así.

Phew, it took me a month but I faithfully read through the entire dictionary and it was worth it. I enjoy this series of frequency vocabs. They are well-structured and informative, although I struggled with this particular one. There were surprisingly many erroneous translations and even outright mismatches, missing or misplaced accent diacritics, gender misagreements. Has the book been proofread by a human? I wonder.

I memorized A Frequency Dictionary of Spanish front to back. If you are curious how I did it, see (this is not my deck, nor is it an endorsement). I personally generated my own deck, however it is a one-to-one transcription of the dictionary.

A Frequency Dictionary of Spanish by Mark Davies is phenomenal, and an essential vocabulary builder for any Spanish learner. The text constitutes 5,000 Spanish words sorted by frequency translated into English, and vice versa. After memorizing this volume backwards and forwards, any beginner will be capable of reading and speaking at a B1-B2 level. I could not recommend this book enough.
