The legendary fisting journeys of Scott and his team continue in this next exciting installment of Galactic Fist of Legend. During their first team building mission Scott's grab bag group of modern pop-culture icons stumbles across a dire situation involving a familiar tunic-clad hero. Can Scott lead his team to pull off the most dangerous mission he's ever faced, or will they fail and doom entire worlds to ruin? Stay tuned and find out! This story depicts graphic violence, gore, occasional gratuitous nudity, the power of friendship, and strangely adult interactions with sentient plants. You're welcome. This story is part of the Project Scott, or the Scottieverse, franchise series of Gamelit and LitRPG stories. It is a series centered around the concept of one soul who always bears the same first name, Scott, as viewed through many different realities. It also features parody elements revolving around iconic modern pop-culture characters. No intent to claim the original source of those parodied entities is implied, and these elements appear well within the umbrella of 'fair use'.
I enjoyed this series thoroughly and I've read twice now. This third book doesn't disappoint. The author continues to tell an entertaining story while he continues to develop the characters and delves deeper into the background of the underlying universe the story takes place in. I loved the idea of divine beings/gods running the system and the implications of something much more behind them. I'll be waiting impatiently for the next volume.
Eighty percent of this book is a single combat mission, and the after action rewards. It is a slog of endless enemies, introspection, and special effects. Even the big boss battle is a light show of emotion and explosions. I found it bland. Compelling enough to finish, but forgotten with a night of rest. I am concerned that the author has lost passion and interest while the story is less than half done.
Good followup to the previous books and love the elf pole dance. I was kinda hoping for more expansion on the current main world or into another game world. But the author has wrapped up the story of the main world well and set the stage for adventures into other areas.
Hoping they get into the backstory of some of the companions. Definitely can't wait for the next Advanced Tactics book.
The 3rd book in this series was a disappointment...yes, it was still quite funny...but the deus ex machina was out of control, the villian was both stronger than expected yet defeated by giving the hero unbelievable power at the last second....overall, I don't think the plot really progressed. I'm actually quite disappointed, especially as the 1st book in the series was wonderful.
I love the world. Very well done and very strange. Some parts were almost excruciating as they went on and on - kind of like waiting for Goku to finish powering up his attack. I had fun and there was ample amounts of gore and explosions galore. It's an anime style harem. A lot of jealousy and not much action. Maybe next time.
The current arc comes to an explosively friendly ending and I couldn't be more satisfied. I hope the series continues and we get to share in more of the adventures of Scott and his companions. 5/5 parodies, would read and laugh again.
Very happy with the series. Normally when I read all the books in a series continuously I get bored. Has not happened this time. Moving on to the next book
Galactic fist of legend is a well written series of books that I could not put down. NO seriously, I was up till 3am for two nights because the books are addictive.
