I fell in loved with the characters in this book especially liked how humour was able to resolve much of the angst from a Dom who couldn't be a Dom with these lovers. The h was amazing, she just kept laughing at him and he just fell head over heels with her sweet and flirty nature. Great to see most of the awful mystery resolved and perhaps this will lead to another series set in Europe? Hope so.

Okay . . . this review is going to be ridiculously short and sweet because I don't want to give anything away. Seriously. Read it. It's quite the freakin' culmination of all that's unfolded in previous books--they've led the way to this explosive tale. You don't want to miss a thing!

All right . . . I'll give you a little something more. A little something about how much I adore Tess and Isaiah. How much I love their openness, honesty and willingness to listen and learn and love. Because this Triad is freaking amazing. Of course, right?

And one more push to say just read it! You know you want to see where things stand, see what's going on with the Trinity Masters and what's in store for their future. ~ Missy, 5 stars

Masterful Truth is the tenth book in the “Trinity Masters” series, and while it would help to have read the preceding books I hadn’t, but I had no trouble figuring out the plot as it is well explained. Beware, however, if you have been reading the series in order and have skipped some of them; there are obvious spoilers in this latest book.

This book is a complicated thrill-ride, and not for the faint of heart. For the rest of us, though, it is a terrific book. Listed by NetGalley as erotica this is not porn; although the sex scenes are plentiful they are well-written and not gratuitous, but rather an integral part of the story line. I would classify this as a thriller with a lot of sex in it.

I don’t like spoilers, so I am not going to give any, but for those who have been reading this series all along this is a spiffy addition to it, and for those, like me, for whom this book is an introduction to the Trinity Masters, it is an excellent beginning. There are a lot of twists and turns in Masterful Truth and even the wariest reader will not see all of them coming.

I highly recommend this book, and now I have the great pleasure of being able to go back and read the first nine.

I was given an ARC of this book by the publisher and NetGalley for my honest opinion.

Masterful Truth is quite an adventure!

Caden has finally been called to be introduced to his new partners, the two partners who will make up his forever trinity, as part of their membership in America's most powerful secret society, The Trinity Masters. He's not exactly looking forward to it, but it's part of his inclusion in his society, so he'll endure it. He just isn't expecting to fall in love with Isaiah and Tess as they find themselves tasked by their Grand Master to suss out the answer to an age old mystery that lies within a poem.

I found Masterful Truth to be a curious hybrid of National Treasure and The Da Vinci Code, all mixed up with 50 Shades. It didn't succeed as well in the romance/erotica department as it did in the mystery/adventure department, but it was still an enjoyable little tale. I admit to feeling a bit lost in the beginning, as I haven't read any of the previous books in this series, but by about the middle I'd say, I was pretty much able to figure out what was going on, if not exactly figure out who all the characters mentioned are. I wish I had known this was not a standalone when I requested it, because if I had read the previous books first, I probably would have enjoyed this more than I ended up doing so. As it stands, though, I definitely enjoyed this as a mystery/adventure, but the romance/erotica part didn't really do much for me. Not that I didn't end up liking Caden, Tess and Isaiah, because I did like them, I just didn't feel their connection to be very strong, which is probably because they only knew each other for a short amount of time before they suddenly decided they were in love with each other. I was hoping for much more heat and passion and a lot more kink, given Caden's proclivities, instead, only got mild sparks of heat.

Still, I did enjoy Masterful Truth, as a mystery/adventure, if not as a romance.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

As stated in the synopsis: “An heir to a powerful secret. A writer whose story began with an illicit affair. A man incapable of love.” I don’t want to reveal a lot, because everyone should have the opportunity to read this incredible book without spoilers.
This story spotlights Tess, Isaiah, and “their dangerous third”. As in the previous books, a trinity is called to the altar and is required to perform certain tasks before they can be married by The Grand Master. These three face dangerous obstacles from an unknown enemy, and face just as many obstacles on the path to happiness.

I have read the previous books in this series, and I must admit that this one is definitely my favorite!! Many questions were answered, and many details were resolved. The entire series is so well-written, and this book was no exception. Mari Carr and Lila Dubois have taken me and other readers on a fantastic journey with these books. It’s one of my favorite series! Life isn’t always perfect, and some details regarding certain characters are difficult to read, but it makes them that much more sympathetic and endearing. This book has everything: love, romance, angst, laughter, pain, tears, and danger on the way to a HEA. The sex scenes were written beautifully - equally hot and emotional. It was the perfect end to the T.M. Series (although there was a mini cliffhanger regarding the possibility of another trinity, so I’m hoping we haven’t seen the end of this series!) In my opinion, Masterful Truth should not be considered a standalone, because there is too much backstory. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader’s copy of this book. I loved this story, and I can't wait for the next Masters’ Admiralty (the spin-off/tie-in series)!!!

Love this series! The Admiralty, wants to destroy the Trinity Masters, specifically the Purist. They wish to put the sins of the fathers on to their children. With Weston out of their reach they want Caden Anderson, who should be a legacy of the Admiralty. Using McKay-Taggart Security (Thank you Lexie Blake, her Masters and Mercenaries, another awesome series) for the information needed to strong arm Juliette. Juliette has no intention of allowing the innocent to be punished. A poem from her childhood has her assembling a trinity in hopes of finding a bargaining chip to us against the Admiralty.
Isaiah Hayes, pen name, Isaiah Jefferson. A novelist who writes thrillers, based in history. Tess Hamilton, a historian and director of exhibits at the Smithsonian. Caden Anderson, who she doesn't exactly trust, but recognizes as a victim of he parents ambition and abuse. He has an in with the Purist and she offers a chance at redemption.
Great story. So happy that Caden got his HEA. Loved Tess and Isaiah. Love the cross overs from other series. Pat's Pub, were practically everyone is family (Mari Carr's Wild Irish series, another great series) and to Las Palmas, were Caden and his wife and husband, showed him they were willing to give him what ever he needed because they wanted to (Lila DuBois Check List series, another great series). Loved the prequel tease Worlds Collide, using Lexi Blake's Masters and Mercenaries, Damon Knight and Ian Taggart, yet another great series. Great epilogue. Wondering what the Admiralty will do with the information Juliette had to provide them. Can't wait to find out!

Absolutely fantastic ending (to this series...but I think it's really not! lol)...I could not put this book down and never wanted it to end!!! Nobody writes like Mari Carr and Lila Dubois together!!! Many twists and turns and "history" mixed into an action packed book. I definitely wanted more but then I always do when I read their books! If you haven't read this series, please do, you will never put it down. This book makes you heart race, break and get put back together...READ THIS!!! <3

There are certain expectations from the writing team of Mari Carr and Lila DuBois. A clear, concise writing style, interesting and sometimes humorous conversations, a certain edge to the characters. And sex, lots of sex. Masterful Truth, the 10th in the Trinity Masters series, meets all those expectations and surpasses them. Masterful Truth is the final chapter in the series and is an excellent way to tie all the loose ends together in a nice, pretty, sexy bow.

I will keep this review pretty short, since I don’t want to ruin anything. I will say that this book was everything I’ve come to expect from this series. I freakin’ loved it! I couldn’t put it down and didn’t want it to end, it was so good. It had everything from suspense to romance. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

Fan's of the TRINITY MASTERS will not be disappointed! Mari and Lila did a magnificent job bringing this series to an end. Every page, every character was perfectly written in true romantic suspense style. The turmoil and struggle was brilliant from the word go. This will always be a re-read series for me.

The wonderful series continues to get better and better. Excellent story telling and outstanding character development and growth.

The third in this Trinity is very big surprise. This story is a great story of redemption and growth of this third.

Loved the cross overs - with Wild Irish (Pat's Pub - more one that scene coming on 3/15 with Wild Irish KW release by Lila Dubois - can't wait!) & BDMS Check list - Las Palmas appearance - so very cool. Had to go back & review B is for ... to remind me about Master Xavier & Mae. Plus reference to Ian Taggart - hee hee.

The new Trinity is giving a task to figure out what is hidden in a poem with each of the members of the Trinity bringing skills to the table.

Loved Isaiah and Tess iterations - total geek outs....hilarious

"I f they make you happy, don’t destroy it.

“He hadn’t need to claim or collar them, They didn’t have to be with him. They wanted to.”

All good things must come to an end or so Lila Dubois and Mari Carr tell us. And “Master Truth” is the last book in the Trinity Masters series. And no matter how much we all cry and whine, this series is done sadly.

This book wraps up the storyline on the American shores. And the final trinity is shocking as in it is a total surprise of personalities.

Tess Hamilton is a curator at the Smithsonian and a legacy. She is very proud of her family heritage dating back to the founding fathers. She has led a quiet life and surprisingly has managed to remain a virgin in preparation of her marriage as part of a trinity. When she gets her note calling her to the alter, she realizes that she is a third in a marriage of two very different strong personalities.

Isaiah Jefferson is a well known mystery author and a late joiner to the Trinity Masters. He has traced his roots back to Thomas Jefferson and Sally Hemmings so can also trace his roots back to the founding fathers. His inquisitive mind hides very deep waters and kinks.

The third member of this trinity is another legacy and someone who has deep emotional scars. He is not an easy man to live with but the Master (or should it be Mistress) has chosen his partners well. They complete each other. “We’re together now. It’s just the three of us. From now on. Always.”

This book like all books in this series are very well written with well developed characters who are human. The sex scenes are well written and rather steamy. Although this book is book 10 in a series, it can be read as a stand alone like every other book in this series. But I would suggest reading them all since you get to better understand the premise behind the series plus you get to read a lot and call it “research.”

I did receive an advance copy of this novel from the author in exchange for a fair, unbiased review. Although by the time I received it, I had already pre-ordered it.

You really need to one-click this series now. This is the 10th book in the Trinity Masters series, but also overlaps with the Admiralty Series. In theory, it could be read as a stand alone book, but it references many things from previous series that could be confusing.

For a general premise, both the American based Trinity Masters and European based Master's Admiralty are behind the scenes movers and shakers in politics, science, art and government. Each has recruits and "legacies" who are children of previous recruits. All are bound in marriage to a trinity for life by the anonymous leader of their group. A recent change for the Trinity Masters is that between when they are bound together, and when they are actually married, they have a mystery of significant importance to solve.

This trinity brings together heirs of the founding fathers - Hamilton, Jefferson and Adams to solve clues left to them by the founding fathers themselves. We found an evil "purist" group inside their ranks sunk a ship with children and priceless art aboard during World War II. The art was saved and slowly sold off on the black market. Only one child of the Master's Admiralty survived. They blame the Trinity Masters and plan to exact their revenge. (All in previous books) The leader of the Trinity Masters has a poem passed down to her through the leadership that suggests, in time of need, there are truths to discover about a wrong done by Europe to America also. She sets Tess Hamilton, a Smithsonian curator, Isaiah "Jefferson" Hayes, a suspense novelist and heir of Jefferson and his slave, and Caden Anderson who was assumed dead and son of a purist trinity - but also descended from the only survivor of the Admiralty's children. They must discover the hidden secrets of the poem, and stay alive while someone else tries to stop them - all while getting to know each other as future spouses. Enjoy this wonderful merge of historical suspense/thriller and romance.

Having not read the previous books (definitely the wrong move) I was worried that I would be confused and not pick up the story but I was wrong. The beginning contained a lot of information but it was essential to learning the backstory to our third in the trinity. It was also great for me to see what the heck was going on. I regret not reading the previous books in the series and will rectify this ASAP.

We learn of this trinity a few chapters in and how it comes to be. Those involved have no idea why they are being put together or who they are being put together with until the binding ceremony. Once that ceremony takes place it gets pretty exciting. The reason these three people are bound together becomes clearer to them and the hunt is on! There is a mystery that must be solved and since Tess and Isaiah are self-professed nerds or geeks they lead the charge and it’s non-stop from there. They have a lot in common which at first bothers the third (not mentioning names as I don’t want to spoil it for anyone) but it becomes something attractive and worth the fight in the end. The third doesn’t believe he/she is worthy of love or of being part of a trinity. It’s Tess and Isaiah’s job to change his/her mind. They do a phenomenal job. As in any relationship each person has their hang-ups and their issues that they have to move past in order to be happy. The same goes for this triad but they have to do it while searching for the solution to a problem for the Trinity Masters that could end them.

This book had mystery, emotion, humor, heartbreak and passion. I will definitely go back and read the previous books so I can really understand this world. It is phenomenal and so well written. I’m excited to dive in!

I'll admit that it took me months to finish this book (and I read 250 books a year at least, so this is way outside the norm for me). I didn't realize the book was part of a series initially, so that didn't help. There were a ton of characters from previous books that immediately came into play and I was so confused. Then throw in the whole trinity part with a National Treasure-esque plot right away and it led to even more confusion. So that's why I stopped and started this one so many times over the months. But eventually I decided to finally put my foot down and finish the book. I'm so glad I gave it a chance because this turned out to be a pretty good book.

I won't go into the plot since that'll give too much away, but it kept me captivated once I got past the first 20% of the book. I honestly was more invested in the mystery/suspense than the romance between Isaiah, Tess and Caden. Don't get me wrong, they were hot together and I loved the way their relationship evolved, but we didn't get much in the way of romance and erotica like I expected. There are a few scenes, but I really expected more given who Cade was and the whole menage thing. I thought this was the final book in the series, so I was disappointed with the ending since it was open-ended and I didn't feel like I really had closure on Isaiah/Tess/Caden's story. Regardless, this was a good mystery/suspense book with some nice romance thrown in. I probably won't go back and read the previous books since it seems as though I'll be ruining the plot knowing what I know now, but who knows? Maybe I'll give the a chance.

Tess Hamilton, Isaiah Jefferson and Caden Anderson are the newest Trinity. The Grand Master needs answers and quick. These three fit the bill. Two legacies, Tess and Caden, and a late in life recruit, Isaiah. Their task: interpret a poem, use the clues found and uncover the sins of The Trinity Masters' foes and protecti the society from a very real threat. Tess ans Isaiah are excited by the possibilities, Caden is surly at best. His past sins and lifestyle have taken their toll. Fortunately for him his two mates are more than willing to give him the love he needs to overcome his past. Caden's emergence from the fog of Dominant brainwashing by his parents is remarkable. As they follow the clues they are dogged by danger as someone else is trying to obtain information too. As truths are revealed and bad guys unmasked, the triad fall deeper into each other. The mystery is solved and the Master's Admiralty is satisfied with the answers given them.

This is such a fantastic series finale. Intelligent, strong and provocative characters and an intriguing, suspenseful storyline with a number of twists and turns make this an outstanding reading experience. Mari Carr and Lila Dubois have truly created a unique series.

I flew through this book! I honestly had no idea that is was the tenth book in a series, but I wasn't completely lost while reading it once I found that out. I loved the character development, especially of Caden and how he went from pent up and angry all the time, to be able to open up about almost everything by the end of the book. I loved the dynamic between Caden, Tess, and Isaiah. Isaiah is just such a relatable character and is always making jokes and making me laugh. It was the same way with Tess, and I found my self constantly laughing out loud while reading this book.

I especially loved how everywhere Isaiah went he was being obsessed over by fans of his books. Caden seemingly being the only person to not have read his books. The history aspect was really interesting and different from something I usually read, but still really enjoyable.

There were some points where I disliked the word choice and felt uncomfortable, but then again it was the style of the story and how it needed to be written.

Overall I had a really fun time reading this book. It's super fast paced, considering I read it in less than one day, and a must-read for one of those cool summer days when you want to sit outside and read a good book.

Caden has done much that he is ashamed of. He has protected those he loved even if it didn’t look that way. Now when he is offered love can he trust it is real?

Masterful Truth is tenth in Mari Carr and Lila DuBois’ Trinity Masters series. This book is best read in chronological order. I really liked Caden. He is so misunderstood. He tried to protect those he loved and did so in a way that made him unlikeable. I love that Ms. Carr and Ms. DuBois showed us the nature of Caden. He was unable to look beyond his actions to appreciate the why and that the why was good. I loved that Tess and Isaiah refused to let Caden go. They would shine a light so that Caden could see he wasn’t nearly as evil as he believed. I loved how well this trinity fit. Both Tess and Isaiah were a bit nerdy but it was so cute. I loved the little insider jokes that Ms. DuBois and Ms. Carr sprinkled throughout this story. I enjoyed the twist and turns as Caden, Tess and Isaiah worked to complete their task. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and look forward to where Ms. Carr and Ms. DuBois will take us next.

This is the first book I have read on the Trinity Masters series (this is book 10) and I have to say that I wasn't disappointed.
This book focuses on Tess Hamilton and her relationship with two men (Isaiah and Caden) as well as solving an ancient mystery....one that turns out to be dangerous for the new and complicated triad. The characters are all really unique and different from each other but have a great camaraderie and seem to continuously make each other laugh (always good in a relationship). For me, I did enjoy this book, it had enough intrigue, passion, adventure and sexy scenes to keep me interested, but I do wish that I had read the books from the beginning so that I could have understood the background of the series a little bit better (something I need to get straight onto).
Overall though, this is a really fast paced book that you will read really quickly as you wont be able to put it down. Kudos to both the authors Lila DuBois and Mari Carr as they are a killer writing team. I look forward to seeing what they come up with next!

The latest Trinity Masters triad is tasked with solving a centuries-old secret befor they can be married. Failure is not an option since the future of the Trinity Masters is dependent on this. The starting point is a poem written by Adams that contains clues that they muse decipher.

Along the way to solving the mystery, Caden, Tess, and Isaiah must also deal with someone else who is also trying to solve the mystery and/or stop them. The further along the trio gets to solving the mystery, the more the stakes are raised and the more dangerous it becomes.

Also as the story progresses, we learn more of Caden and Rose's relationship and Caden's reason behind collaring Rose. The question becomes whether Caden is capable of overcoming the abuse/training by his fathers or is he doomed to be cruel Dominant?

Between the solving the mystery and the development of the relationship between Caden, Tess, and Isaiah, you are kept on the edge of your seat. Loved the humor that was interwoven in the story.

Masterful Truth
By Mari Carr and Lila DuBois
The Trinity Master’s have a problem with the Master’s Admiralty that dates back to the American Revolution and was escalated during WWII. The new Trinity’s task is to find out what happened between the two secret societies using a poem as a clue and use this information against The Admiralty. Two members of this Trinity can trace their lineage back to Hamilton and Jefferson while the third member is a surprise. Tess Hamilton is a historian, Isaiah Jefferson is a thriller writer and the third member is Caden Anderson. Caden had a horrific life growing up in a Purist household. As a result, he is emotionally shut off. Can this Trinity live long enough to find the truth? Can it even survive? Will they be able to decipher the poem and find out what happened between the Trinity Masters and the Master’s Admiralty? These questions were all answered in the final book in this series.
I have to say that this was probably one of my favorite books in this series. It had me on an emotional rollercoaster. Caden wasn’t very likable in the other books due to his upbringing. Throughout this book, he tries to stay emotionally detached from the rest of his Trinity because he believes himself to be a monster, but they refuse to let him. While dark in some spots, there is still some humor in this book. Everywhere they go, people comment on Isaiah’s books. Caden constantly ask. “am I the only one who hasn’t read them?” I also enjoyed the nod to Mari Carr’s Wild Irish series, Lila Dubois’ Checklist series, and Ian Taggert from Lexi Blake’s Masters and Mercenaries series. While sad to see the series end, I am happy with the way the authors concluded it. I highly recommend this book

Okay. So my review isn't going to reflect my 5 star rating. I read this book without having read all 9 before it....which was a mistake on my part! The Trinity Masters is an amazing amazing series, but I find its one that cannot be read out of order. At least not for me. I got half way through this book and had to stop. I cannot finish it in good conscience without reading the 9 prior. Its not fair for this book or to the series if I do. By the time book 10 comes along, a lot happens in the world of Trinity Masters that gets lost in translation.

So...while I LOVE this series, I do not recommend reading this book unless you read the series in order first. I have decided to go back and reread the entire series, in order, and ill edit my review for Masterful Truth once I'm able to give it my full attention and understanding.

Mari and Lila never disappoint. It will be worth the wait!!!

I f*ing loved this book. The Trinity Masters series is fantastic and makes me yearn for my own trinity. Alas, I will have to live vicariously through these wonderful, thrilling, action-packed, mysterious, funny, loving stories with great historical tidbits thrown in along the way. Oh and Big Tag, too!

This time we get Tess, Isaiah and their third and who wouldn't love to be the meat in that sandwich. The good girl, the mystery writer and the bad boy. Lots of feels here and some wrapping up of story arcs. I was glad to see that new arcs began as well; arcs with lots of potential.

I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy of this book and was glued to my seat the entire time. You need to read this book

Redeeming Caden!

Caden Anderson is back from the dead (Beloved Sacrifice) and expecting to be killed and instead he was bound in a trinity and his new trinity has been tasked to solve a mystery before they can be married. The mystery involves trying to find out why there is so much hatred from The Master’s Admiralty. His trinity partners, Tess Hamilton are connected to the mystery and Isaiah Hemings is a famous writer to help solve the problem.

Masterful Truth fits in the Trinity Masters series with a story that I wasn’t expecting because Caden was going to be very hard to redeem from the Dom character he is earlier in the series. Plus the answer to the mystery was something that was an unusual twist and very different.

Mari Carr and Lila Dubois saved the best for last to solve the mystery of the Purists and their role in the Trinity Masters and Masters' Admiralty worlds. Masterful Truth is fast paced, suspenseful, full of witty dialog, and emotionally charged scenes as the newly formed triad juggle getting to know one another and how to support each other all the while trying to discover and reveal the secrets of the Purists and connections to the Masters' Admiralty. Although each book in the Trinity Masters series can be read as a stand-alone, the series is best enjoyed when read in order. Mari Carr and Lila Dubois certainly brought it and went big with Masterful Truth.

Caden, Isaiah and Tess are an interesting triad that worked out well in the end but took some effort on my part to hang on until their story even started. Like 50% of the book was done before their part begins and we spend ALOT of time with historical information being thrown at us in large doses. Despite that this was a good read and I always love a good redemption story. Caden proved he wasn't what he'd thought his parents had turned him into and for that I thank the writers that they didn't throw away a very unique character that had featured in several books as sorta the villain. Enjoyed this story immensely. The steamy part wasn't as STEAMY hot as the others which was kind of a let down considering Caden's past BUT I also think I see what the writers were trying to do with that as well.

This is a fabulous series, and I've read each book multiple times. But this book was beyond amazing! I think the best out of the entire series. It was a perfect blend of the writing styles of the two writers. There were so many surprises, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading. I'm not going to go in to too much detail, because I don't want to spoil the fun of the story, but readers are going to go nuts for this book.

This book was full of suspense and mystery; surprises around every corner make it one that you'll not be soon forgetting. The trinity faces obstacles, both within themselves and from an unknown enemy, just like in previous books, but Masterful Truth went beyond that. I found myself laughing at times, and almost in tears at other times, because of the intense emotions of the book. The characters were so real, that I felt like they were friends by the end of the book!

While this book could probably be read on its own, there is much of the back story that you'd be missing out on. While each book focuses on a different trinity, there is also an ongoing story that begins with the first book, and continues with each subsequent book. I highly recommend reading the series in order, as it's a very complex world that these books are set in, and you'd be missing out on a lot if you don't.

From start to finish Lila & Mari have outdone themselves. I LOVED this book. From old friends (Cam Anderson) to new ones Tess & Isaiah, this new Trinity will have their hands full. Not only searching for clues but finding out that they are being watched. Not only do they have to get to know each other, but get through the heart of one that thinks he doesn't know how to love. I Loved it! Praise for you Ladies. I hope you continue with lots more as I would like to know more about this Secret Society!

I don’t know what I can write as a review that can give this book justice. All I can say is that it was full intrigue, mystery, suspense and definitely passion!

Though they can be read stand alone, a lot happens that brings us to this point, I do highly recommend reading the previous books in the series.

I really did not want it to end, I just wanted to keep reading about the life of Tess, and Isaiah and their third who will not be mentioned as it’s a great plot to the story. The Grand Master knows how to choose them well.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
