Apocalypse Romance and Rebellion

“Welcome to the final episode of the Bachelor Battles!”

The war changed all of us in one way or another, and some of us in every way possible.

“It looks like we’ll have another of those infamous, bounty-hunting Pruetts with us for this episode.”

We’ve had almost five hundred years of Network rule.

“Has there ever been a family so merciless, so mate-hungry?”

It was way past time someone challenged them.

“Samantha J. Pruett!”

Sam grinned, moving onto the time trials field as the crowd roared approval. She hadn’t come for the taste of blood or because of the change. Sam was here for the Network and she hadn’t come alone.

The thrilling conclusion of the Bachelor Battles trilogy!

Well, what a book this was!

I was really surprised by the length of this book! Due to this we are bombarded with so much new information and new characters as well. There were plenty of shocking revelations and in all honestly it was quite overwhelming. I would read along and come across a moment where a secret has been revealed and yet I didn’t remember where it came from? Like did I miss it while reading? 😂

But despite all that, this was a really good way to end this series. I really enjoyed getting multiple POV from most of the main characters and seeing them triumph, fail and being driven throughout this war to end the tyranny of the Network. It was great to see them all fighting for each other and the freedoms they long for. I also liked by the end of the story, we see a realistic view of the different opinions of a post-war discussion. Not everyone will agree to the same thin and compromises must be made. I do hope a short story or a spin-off series can be written about the aftermaths of this New America. I would love to see the descendants and how they are coping with this new world.

Overall it was a great and fun series, really enjoyed it and will definitely check out Life after War series.

Not what I expected. Fantastic Story.
Loved the characters.

Merged review:

I thought the story was great. The characters were believable. The action was fast paced. The romances were steamy. The drama real. I didn't like how Angela seemed to, all of the sudden, be quite a bitch. Acting disrespectful. From being a cowering, intimidated person most of her life. To this warrior woman that didn't listen to orders from her officers and a smart mouth. She should've learned from the Eagles instead of showing them up. I also thought, the respect that seemed to come to Adrian so easily from everyone. Her attitude would not have been accepted. She sounded more like a spoiled brat than a solider.

Work in progress

This was a long-awaited finale to the Pruett family and it had a lot of nail-biting sequences. Sam, the last of the Pruett Bachelor battle contestants, and her family endure great trials and tribulations as they try to deal with the evil Network Council. Multiple betrayals from unexpected corners and surrounded by adversity pummel the family through a gut-wrenching gauntlet to survive. Unfortunately, it felt as though this tale was written a bit hurriedly as there are so many editing errors it detracted from being a quality read.

This is certainly a complex story - a huge list of characters, more than one plot, changing thoughts and feelings, battles and yet it all fits together well. People do develop and might not necessarily 'change' but some mature, some have revelations, some realise the truth while others are deeply affected by experience.

It's becoming more than survival, but what kind of future will it be?

There are disturbing scenes and mixed messages but I do like how women are being recognised as more than mere 'bedroom or kitchen slaves'. Angela has a tough role and though she hates her position, she understands that she must stay in that role if they are to survive - if it's at all possible. Adrian is a curious mix and not necessarily 'good' but really, I'm not sure what he is. I think Marc is the better man.

I enjoyed this instalment of the mammoth story because it is a tangle of mixed emotions, good v evil, filled with intriguing magic and has a great sense of place.

Recommended.

America has changed now the people must finish changing. Angela was the leader.

Angela was given the leadership of Safe Haven when she didn’t want it. It would be hard on her mate, Mark, as he was still in denial of his demon. When this changed the leadership changed. Adrian was still there in-the background waiting pushing Angie to grow stronger and Marc to keep up. Battles tear them apart but battles bring them back. Destiny doesn’t wait for the slow and they are fighting for life.

Great Storyline

Really good character development and storyline over the first four books. Good writing, but could use more editing. Even with that, this series is the best dystopian fiction out there. I’m hooked. Looking forward to the next book.

I hardly ever reread books but when this came out I started this series over and enjoyed how the books flowed together and held me spelled bound. Since this is the last book in series The ending finished great I would love to see a genealogy chart of the clan

Changed indeed

This is the final book of this series. It proves that with determination and love anything is possible. Lots of battles, blood and madness. Great story, greatest writer ever.

Great series

I have read all of the LAW books and love them. This is another great series to read. Angela White is a great story teller and I hope she continues writing for a long time.

Great story

It was a great story but it seems like the end has not been reached. I hope there will be more to follow

So hard to put down any of Angela White's books once you start them, and this one is no different. The sad part is this is the last of the Trilogy.
