Overall I enjoyed the book. I was so drawn in by the cover, I didn't read the summary. It was a surprise to find actual tips to prepare for winter along with knitting patterns. I was just looking for some essential oil blends,

The knitting patterns looked fun and well constructed. The safety winter tips were sound, though they don't really apply to where I live right now.

I really enjoyed some of the suggested winter blends and saved the suggested mixes for later use. I would have liked some references to the claims made that the oils would "cure winter allergies" for example. This is Hopkins first book on this topic and siting a few reputable sources would have been beneficial.

For me, the book strayed a little when Hopkins began listing all different kinds of single essential oils and what kind of benefits they may have. The book stopped referencing winter specific uses and went into more generic uses of essential oils. It seemed a little disjointed from the rest of the book.

Over all it seemed informative and an good read.
