I'm the first person to review this book on GoodReads! (How amazing is that?)

This book is a MUST for anyone teaching TSAR, and I'm so glad a google search a few months back led me to a copy on Amazon. It's a collection of critical essays dealing with all sorts of issues that will naturally arise when teaching the novel -- gender issues, religion, bullfighting, alcohol -- along with a wide variety of literary theories. Now, some of these perspectives I disagreed with--or at least, pooh-poohed a bit--but every single essay gave me a different approach to the novel, and I found myself jotting down repeated notes. I love that I now love the novel even more.

The works cited in the back of the book is massive and will lead to another treasure trove of all things Hemingway.

Quick--buy this book while there are still copies floating around!
