Fear the reckoning of those you have wronged.

Notorious Hunter King Jake Barrett lives his life according to a warrior’s creed. His forces are hard-pressed, outnumbered, and outgunned. Malevolent gods threaten his six-year-old son. In desperation, he extends his hand to his ancient friend and foe for help.

Valkyrie Victoria Storm follows the path Odin laid out, but each step carries the priestess farther from Freya’s favor. She works to unify the werewolf tribes and forge an alliance with the hunters. Trouble brews on the home front. The dominant males in her pack are at each other’s throats. A killer in her territory is skinning wolves; the evidence points to one of Odin’s worshipers.

Loki hides among mortal men, a shadow of his greater glory. Under the command of the Necromancer, the Trickster’s undead army grows ever more powerful. He counts the days until he collects on what he is owed, but he harbors more regret than satisfaction. His wolf children speak his name with derision. Those he seeks to help recoil from him. Justice for the God of Lies means the end of all life. Loki’s warnings fall on deaf ears but he knows— Fate shelters the ember that will spark the fire. Reckoning for the day when the world burns.

Wonderful!

This has been the best one in the series so far. So many things are going on in this book that it keeps you on the very edge of your seat the whole time reading. I'm also so glad to see a certain someone return! Can't wait for the next installment!

Had real life not gotten in the way, I probably would have read this book in record time. It's been a while since I've visited this world created by author Melissa Snark but it's great to be back!

As always, I struggle with books that are light on or completely void of romance. That's not say that there isn't any tension here because there definitely is (TEAM SAWYER!!!). What this installment lacks in heat it makes up with action, intrigue and mystery. While I tend to enjoy books featuring multiple characters, I typically only really get attached to one or two characters. Wolf's Cross has a fantastic ensemble who take turns stealing the spotlight. Each and every one could have their own book and in many cases (Jake's teen sons for example) I hope that to be the plan moving forward.

If pressed to pick faves, however, I would have to say Jake and Sawyer and Loki of course with a heaping dose of fangirling for the bromance that is Jake and Loki. At about the midway mark, the pacing was interrupted a bit, possibly due to lack of Sawyer and Jake. That, along with my wanting just a tad bit more on the romance side, even just a hint is how I came to the 4 star conclusion verses 5. There is SO MUCH going on in this story but the author did a great job in keeping it clear and easy to follow. Often times, too much can turn into a giant mess that leaves more questions than answers and not in a good way. I am a teensy bit bitter about where the story leaves off and will be stalking Ms. Snark's updates for the next release date!

Jake's strong presence, Victoria's determination and Arik's sly arrogance, is challenged only by Logan's boyish charm, Sawyer's dominance and ALL THAT IS LOKI (no, really, this character is FANTASTIC)!!! Good luck in finding a favorite here. Wolf's Cross delivers, and then some.

I love how the author is able to take legends or myths and put her own spin on them. I loved this story. It is well written and thoroughly entertaining. I didn’t want to put the book down once I started it. I cannot wait for the rest of the series to come out.

OMG! THAT WAS AWESOME! Author Melissa Snark has once again left me speechless with her master storytelling abilities. I for one can not wait for the next book in this series!! I would recommend this book to every one (18 years and older)! And I wouldn't change a thing about it!! There are so many revelations revealed in this book, it really will blow your mind. No joke, this is my number one favorite series. Author Melissa Snark has perfected her craft with her strong characters, action, magic and mayhem, the depth of which she builds her stories and the ability to follow the story line. She's crossed all her T's and dotted all her i's. An epic and brilliant book. And I know the next one will be just as good if not better! And OMG I CAN NOT WAIT! I couldn't write a blurb without giving spoilers and I don't/won't give spoilers.

This is book 4 of the Loki's Wolves series and I have been loving each of these stories more and more as I get further into the books. Victoria goes through quite a lot of change in this story and I am still not sure whether it will be for the better in the future. I enjoyed watching Logan evolve into a more mature wolf who will be willing to stand by his pack and alpha. There a twist with Sawyer, the hunters and Jake Barrett that completely sucked me in and I could not put the book down until I found out what was going to happen. This one still ends on a little of a cliffhanger for the next story and I can't wait for it to come out so I can continue the adventure with Victoria and her pack.

Victoria has so much going on in this story and Logan has begun to mature into a wolf you'd be proud to have at your back!

There are twists galore with Sawyer, Jake Barrett and the hunters that will pull you in and spit you out. The bromance of Jake and Loki is also completely hysterically funny! Freya is still pouting after being used to resurrect Sawyer and that's just the tip of the iceberg!

There is a cliffhanger so be aware! I cannot wait to see what happens next!!!

***THIS BOOK WAS PROVIDED TO NERD GIRL IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW***

Wolf's Cross by Melissa Snark is the third full-length novel in her Loki's Wolves Series.

The hits just keep coming for poor Victoria Storm and her Storm Pack. Hunters are killing grey wolves for their pelt, in the name of their chosen God, Odin, and Victoria has alienated her patron Goddess, Freya by siding a few times with Odin. Add in the near-constant nausea from her pregnancy, and Victoria is hard-pressed to contain her wolf.

This series just gets better and better, with growth for all of the characters, and that is just a small portion of what makes this author, and series, such wonderful reads. I cannot wait for more!
