Winthrow Financial. The fastest growing firm on Wall Street, and I had been lucky enough to land a job there right out of college.
Despite being the youngest woman on the floor, I quickly made waves in the company. Carter Winthrow, the sexiest boss a woman could ever have, noticed me quickly. When he came to meet me personally, he also took notice of my body.
Within days, I was promoted to Carter's personal assistant. While the job itself was fantastic, the real perk was getting to work with Carter himself. The suave and sexy billionaire playboy managed to exude charm and confidence every time we spoke. And as I proved myself great at the job again and again, he became more and more comfortable with me.
As I saw him giving to charities and holding his niece, I realized he was the ultimate alpha male. Those strong, chiseled abs and huge arms was all that the “Sexiest Bachelor” lists saw, but I saw the real man. A family man, just waiting for someone to give him that family.
I knew that what I wanted, more than this job, more than a career, more than life itself, was Carter's to give. I would do anything to get Carter to give it to me. And as he took my fertile body over and over again, I knew that he wanted more than just a business partner.
He wanted it all. A wife. A family. But most of all, a baby...
This novel from veteran Cassandra Zara and newcomer Annie Young contains the five serial parts of "A Baby For My Billionaire Boss", re-edited to fit together as a single story. It is a standalone novel and has a Happily Ever After. If you like sweet and steamy stories featuring impregnation, you'll love this story of a Plain Jane and a handsome billionaire falling in love.
Jane got a dream job out of college with this huge Wall Street firm. After she uncovers this critical error , Jane gets promoted to work as assistant to Carter, the owner of the firm. Carter comes off as aloof and kind of cold, at first. He doesn’t want to be friendly with Jane. He doesn’t believe in being friendly but something about Jane captures his attention and well, one thing leads to another. Jane becomes obsessed with Carter. I mean, literally obsessed with her boss. She craves him, lusts after him and wants to give him his every desire. She even wants to get pregnant with his baby…
That is what she wants from him. This is pretty much the storyline of this book. Of how Jane can get pregnant by Carter and the office relationship between them. He is the older man, she is the younger woman. At times the story did lag and the back and forth Carter did played aa bit with the story and Jane’s deep feelings for Carter and her obsession for wanting to get pregnant really played with the story. I felt the rush ending also detracted from the story but overall, it is a book I would read. The chemistry between Carter and Jane is there, I just wish there was more interaction between the main characters and that it would have been Carter pushing Jane into wanting the pregnancy, not Jane being the obsessed one. My Rating: 4.1 stars ***** “I received an advanced copy of this book from the author at no cost to me."
Jane is hired to work for a stock market company that works in high dollar amounts. When she is asked by her new boss to look at some stock options and finds some things not right she brings them to her boss, who brushes them off. Carter, the owner of the business finds out and moves Jane to the top floor. When Jane helps find some major investments, Jane and Carter celebrate and things get a little out of hand.
This story was separated into multiple books but Annie and Cassandra redid it and made it into one book. I have to say it flows better and it is nice not to have to go to different books when you are on a cliffhanger. This story is not an in-depth novel so don't look for that. But it is a cute story that will help you pass the time.
A Baby For My Billionaire Boss by Annie Young is only the second book for which I’m having trouble writing its review. I like the book. In fact, I really like the storyline idea. I just think there were some execution issues. This book tells the story of Carter, CEO of the investment firm Winthrow Financial, and Jane, a recent college graduate and new employee at Winthrow Financial. The book starts off kind of slow, but I was fine with that because I thought it was simply a slow build up to “the big event”. Instead, the slow pace continued on and on even after Carter and Jane had their first sexual encounter. Then, rather than focusing perhaps on the background of both Carter and Jane or possibly having them have additional sexual encounters or meetings full of sexual tension but no actual sex, the author chose to spend way too much time on Jane’s obsession with pregnancy (i.e. ticking biological clock, seeing moms and kids everywhere, touching and talking to her belly before finding out if she was pregnant or not). Another execution problem had to do with the editing of the book. This book was released a couple of weeks before I received a copy to review. Now, to be completely honest, I don’t know whether I received the final copy of the book that you can buy, or whether my copy is the original ARC sent out prior to editing. I hope it is the latter. Otherwise, there are some serious issues with spelling, grammar, consistency of the story and other items that require a lot of review and editing. After everything I’ve written above, I would still recommend this book because it’s a good story. It just needs a bit more work to make it an even better story. I will definitely read another book by this author and I’m hopeful that the next review I write for her will be much easier for me to write.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
A Baby For My Billionaire Boss: The Complete Impregnation Love Story By: Cassandra Zara & Annie Young Wow! I just finished reading "A Baby For My Billionaire Boss: The Complete Impregnation Love Story," borrowed via KU, & this book has blown me away. I'm won't spoil the story, but I'll tell you that I loved the Geeky Mathematical Heroine who decides she's going after her man & pulling out all stops, so to speak... This book is a great read with an even better HEA! As a bonus, the Sample chapters included at another book's end (Single Dad's Surrogate: A Billionaire's Baby and Nanny Romance) brought me here... & this book didn't disappoint; it gave me another Cassandra/Annie rabbit hole to enjoy for hours... So far, the fun journey isn't stopping as I've been going book-to-book! So, readers be forewarned~ once you begin reading Cassandra/Annie's books, you may never stop!!! Until next time... Happy Reading! Lol.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy from Hidden Gems Jane is lucky enough to land a job, straight from college at Winthrow Financial. A dream come true as she is a mathematical whizz. Seeing the owner Carter Winthrow is just a life stopping moment.....he is absolutely drop dead gorgeous. Little does she realise how her life will change for the better in more ways than she can ever imagine. Carter Winthrow is one of a kind, hard worker, gifted, playboy, BUT he appreciates talent when he sees it. Meeting Jane is like a meeting of talented minds which he appreciates , plus her body isn’t bad either. The story of Jane, going from a newbie accountant to being elevated to working closely with Carter....in and out of the office. Although it was a long story,( originally a 5 parter) I am glad it was put all together. Carter getting to know Jane so much more personally and not realising Jane’s dream of wanting a baby. A really good story of two people, a meeting of minds and the intricacies of everyday Wall Street stresses and strains. Loved it
I’m a bit mixed in this one. At the end of the day it’s a fun story and one that I very much enjoyed reading. My issue is that the h here, Jane, really does in effect st out to get pregnant by the H, Carter, without bothering to see if he’s agreeable to that. There is a “savings graces“ to this. ane isn’t really doing it as a “gold digger” but more out of a somewhat immature infatuation with Carter and a sort of presumption that he must deep down want her too. Luckily for her that’s his it ends up, but she didn’t know that from him until way “after the fact”. At the end of the day Jane does honestly love Carter and they do have a crazy infatuation and sexual chemistry with each other. They also do mature into having a healthy, loving, adult relationship - I just would’ve wanted it to happen a bit sooner. Notwithstanding all of that, this was still a very enjoyable romance and one I’m happy to recommend.
I received this book for Free to Give My True & Honest Review
This is my first time reading ANY work by both Cassandra Zara & Annie Young & I enjoyed this easy & likeable book to do with Jane a newly employed accountant for Winthrow Financial. But she's NOT even there for 24 hrs when her eye for figures/stocks/investment & Chance the CEO of the company, decides he wants her by his side. to cover the big & New investors. Chance has one rule for himself & that rule is not share business with pleasure. But he can't help himself where Jane is concerned. And it's here after the rule is broken that I dropped a point as Jane annoyed me with the repetitivness of telling herself from the millisecond that she's pregnant, which I found annoying. But that didn't destroy the book for me, as I did enjoy & liked the storyline, characters & chemistry between Jane & Chance. As she stood by him even even she could've done a bunk
I wasn’t too fond of the characterization of Jane. The premise was fantastic, but when I read it, I was so put off by it. Firstly, she appeared to me a little...delusional on her pursuits. Also, there were too many fillers and I felt like Carter and Jane didn’t spend enough time together and when they did, it was for sex.
Yes, I love any good smut, but I have to like the characters too. Carter was cool, but I felt it wasn’t enough of him. Also there were some writing mistakes, such as “waste” instead of “waist” and Maddy’s name was misspelled for “Mandy”. One more thing, I saw conflict, not enough resolutions. I had high expectations for this book and I was let down. Not reading it again.
I received this as an ARC from Hidden Gems for an honest review.
At first it was a little slow at building up. But the more that I got to know Jane and Carter the more I fell in love with them. At times Jane could be a lot to handle. She seems to be completely focused on getting pregnant. She never even takes into consideration as to how Carter would feel til after she completes her goal.
I am not really sure how everything turned out with the SEC problem It seems as if the author just thought it was enough for the pregnancy to come to light to everyone.
This was a good read. There were times that Jane and Carters actions were a bit irritating but overall, I enjoyed their characters and the story, definitely the steamy parts. There were parts of the story that were a bit slow but the pace picked up so it didn't seem as if the story dragged the whole time. I enjoyed the ending a lot and I absolutely loved that I got the story in one book. I would be willing to read more books from this author in the future and I recommend readers giving this book a try.
Right out of college Jane got a dream job with a big wall street firm. After uncovering a big error she gets promoted to assistant to Carter the owner. He is standoffish as he doesn't like inter office relationships. But one thing leads to another and things heat up. Jane then becomes obsessed with having Carter's baby. She was not my favorite character and I thought the book was slow paced and dragged. An OK read, but nothing special. I read an advance copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.
I have mixed feelings about this book. I liked the concept of the storyline and I liked Carter. However, Jane was a different story. Her obsession with getting pregnant with Carter's baby was just too much at times. Overall though, I did like the book but it's a one time read for me. This was the first for me by this author so I do want to read another to see if I can have a better connection with the characters. *I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is my honest review.*
This was an excellent contemporary billionaire romance. Jane considered herself pretty but enjoyed working with numbers. She is hired by Winthrow Financial. Even though the plot may seem cliche Jane falls for her boss, Carter. The author had both main characters grow and change throughout their working then personal relationship. She gave small bits of information that brought main and secondary characters to 'life'. I received a complementary copy via Hidden Gems and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by Ms. Young.
This book was ok for me. A decent read. It was too long though and probably should’ve had a heavier editing hand when combining books. I’m not especially in love or invested in the characters like I should especially after such a lengthy read. I wouldn’t say don’t read but it wouldn’t be top of my recommendation list. I received an arc copy of this book. This is my voluntary, true, and honest opinion.
I like that the series is in one bundle here. I am not that for cliffhangers. Very well written story with nice storyline and plot. The characters are likeable and well described. They develop nicely through the story. A slow paced story about a billionaire CEO and the new employee. The chemistry is amazing and their emotional roller coaster draws them through a lot of issues. Twists that makes you read on. Enjoyable read.
Jane starts working for Carter who runs an investment company. Jane just finished her business degree and is eager to put in the work. Carter sees Jane and knows he needs a taste of that. When Jane starts working side by side with Carter sparks fly and so does there inhibitions. These two have many obstacles to overcome if it's going to be more than a little fun. Read now to see if Jane bags her man.
I was given this book in exchange for an honest review
Jane and Carter seem to be the opposite of what you would expect. Jane seems a little too sweet and a little too nice. And I am sorry I don't care how in tune with her body a woman is there is never going to be the all knowing the minute she becomes pregnant that was THE ONLY flaw I saw in this whole book
Not exactly sure how I feel about this story. I loved Carter. He was the reason I continued reading. Jane and the pregnancy storyline was too much. It was all she talked about. Then she hides it from him. When she finally tells him he just accepts it.
A crazy best friend, the story wasn't what I thought it would be. It was way too long for me and dragged on which was frustrating. Jane was not a character I could relate to and really didn't care for her. I voluntarily received this book to review for my honest opinion.
Jane gets a new position, and she finds herself spending more and more time with her boss, Carter. Carter is an alpha male, but Jane sees the real him underneath it all. Their goals collide. Can they find what they each were truly looking for? This was a good story.
No, no, no. All Jane can thank about is having a baby and she just decided that her boss was going to be the dad. She doesn't think about what Carter wants, she is just completely focused on having his baby.
It was an ok book but I couldn’t even read it through I skipped parts just got corney so predictable people don’t think like that. I don’t know I wouldn’t recommend it.
If you like the classic PA and CEO love story, this is the book for you... Be ready to be a part of a lovestory starting rough with limits, disagreements and much more.
I give this book only 3 start because of the girl (forgot her name) and how she was a tad over the top for my liking, for example how she "just knew things before everyone else" yeah no thanks. Other than that the story in itself deserves 4 stars.
the book is an easy and lovely book read on a nice an cosy cold winter morning. be ready to be amazed by the hottest CEO and smartest PA and their lovestory.
