This book was really good I enjoy really didn't want to put it down sephy and callum are two very good character and it makes you proper feel in the character shoes cant wait for the next one knife edge

I feel that these could have been condensed into 3 books, especially as I feel that they drag a bit towards the 3rd one and the fourth is kinda disjointed, but I think the separation is purposeful, as it is a jump forward in time from the others, and from a different perspective. However, some interesting and important points were raised, especially in the light of the current BLM and feminist (basically general equality) movement, and there are a lot of resonant discussion points that really make you stop and think.

Très bien écris. Un sujet qui est encore trop présent de nos jours. L'égalité serra présente à 100% à un certain moment. Un livre remplis de rebondissement ou se sont les noirs qui dirigeaient le monde.

Such moving and page turning dystopia novels that I thoroughly enjoyed and would read again and again. Every book just keeps getting better. Malorie Blackman is absolutely incredible in how she develops the plot. An epic and amazing book 📖

Un monde où les communautés s'affrontent à coups de lois racistes et de bombes.
C'est un monde où Callum et Sephy n'ont pas le droit de s'aimer. Car elle est noire et fille de ministre.
Et lui blanc et fils d'un rebelle clandestin...
Et s'ils changeaient ce monde ?
Mon avis : Une série addictive et bouleversante, parlant du racisme et de la xénophobie avec une justesse désarmante.
Un monde dur, cruel et injuste représentatifs de certaines personnes.
On suit durant quatre tomes la trame de cette histoire compliquée qui se déroule sur plusieurs générations.
Dans un premier temps, on suit l’histoire de Callum et Sephy, chacun représentant un extrême d’une communauté. Moins bornés et aveugles que les adultes de cette société, ils se fréquentent depuis l’enfance, puis tombent amoureux. Séparés par leurs familles dont les convictions divergent, ils se retrouvent.
On suit ensuite Sephy, qui souffre de la mort de Callum, puis ensuite leur fille.
Chacun des personnages possède ses blessures, les rendant plus fragiles, plus humains.
Comme quoi, la lutte pour la liberté et l’égalité prend du temps.
Cette série est une véritable leçon de vie qui nous touche et nous émeut.
Pour ne rien gâcher, cette édition est sublime !
