The Devastation: America Crumbles

Rate this book
Sergeant Robert Williams returns from the raging war in Europe still reeling from the wounds he received in Italy. He’s assigned to active duty in Georgia, just a day before the United States is invaded on three fronts. The American troops suffer staggering losses. To make matters worse, a wave of desertions leaves the remaining U.S. military forces short of resources and in a desperate fight to defend the country.

While Robert battles the Russian forces on the East Coast, his girlfriend Sierra faces the brutal occupation of California by the Chinese Army. For the citizens of Los Angeles this is a war of survival as they struggle to feed themselves and stay clear of the violent struggles to control the city.

In addition to the Russian, Chinese, and South American Coalition armies, U.S. President Calvin McCord faces a fourth and even more destructive force—the American political system. Political infighting threatens to rip the country apart from within, placing the president in a desperate battle to lead the tattered remnants of the United States through an era of devastation.

Set in the near-future, The America Crumbles follows the lives of an ordinary family during the anarchy of the apocalypse.

RANDY LINDSAY is a world traveler. Which sounds impressive until you realize the worlds he visits exist only in his mind and on the pages of his novels. He claims to prefer this method of sightseeing because he can stop at any time, go to the kitchen, and indulge his ice cream addiction. When he isn't busy making things up he likes going to movies with his wife to watch what other people have made up and plays board games with his children who are in the habit of making up the rules as they go along.

The Devastation: America Crumbles by Randy Lindsay is a fast-paced near-future military thriller that imagines a terrifying collapse of the United States under coordinated foreign invasion and internal political fracture. Following Sergeant Robert Williams on the East Coast and his girlfriend Sierra in occupied California, the novel balances frontline combat with civilian survival, showing how war reshapes ordinary lives from multiple angles.

What sets the story apart is its focus not just on invading forces, but on the internal breakdown of leadership and unity. As political infighting threatens to finish what the enemy started, the novel paints a grim, believable portrait of a nation under siege—externally and from within. Tense, gritty, and grounded in human stakes, The Devastation will appeal to readers who enjoy apocalyptic military fiction driven by realism, family bonds, and the high cost of survival.
