The short stories are not on one level with one another. Some are extremely engaging, others monotone and hard to get into, maybe too alien. Interlinear translations are as wonky in places as are other texts from this series.

Very helpful if you want to learn Russian. Every word has its definition under it which also provides a good idea how words are ordered in sentences in Russian, including their different forms such as infinitive or -ing forms in verbs among others.
