Every relationship and situation is unique, and that's why these essays from respected scholars, apologists, and pastors—including Sandra Tanner, Robert Bowman, David Geisler, Bill McKeever, Mark Mittelberg, J. Warner Wallace, Lynn Wilder, and others—lays out a variety of creative methods for sharing the gospel effectively so you can... Speaking the truth to Mormons can feel daunting when you're unprepared. Let the suggestions in this book give you solid ideas for reaching those who are lost but don't realize it.
I really enjoyed this book as it made some great suggestions and ideas for sharing the gospel with Mormons. Of course, it's audience is necessarily focused, coming from a Christian background. As a tool though, for starting the conversation rolling, the varied backgrounds of the presenters pose quite an array of methods for doing so. Highly recommended to any who love Mormons and want to see them saved.
This book provides the reader with a wealth of knowledge and suggestions on how to witness to your Mormon loved ones and friends. The tactics in this book are not written from a theoretical, sterile, "ivory tower" position, but are from the street level, practical experience of the authors who collectively speak from thousands of hours of interacting with Mormons.
For the purpose of full disclosure, my wife and I are co-authors of this book so I am obviously biased towards it. Even still, I learned things from the other authors that I didn't know, even though I have 30 years of experience of witnessing to Mormons. I would HIGHLY recommend this book even if my wife and I didn't contribute our chapters. Excellent book!
So thankful for this resource. Walked away with valuable tools and language concerning evangelistic conversations, as well as general guidelines when having dialogue with someone of a differing faith view.
Whether you engage with LDS people or not, this book will give you valuable training in learning to love the lost and engage them respectfully and thoughtfully.
Most of us have Christian friends, acquaintances, neighbors, and family that are LDS. Where do you start with witnessing to them to let them know about Jesus. This book does exactly that. It gives you many different techniques on how to witness that come from very knowledgeable people on the subject of Mormonism.
Some of the techniques may work for you while some of the other techniques may not work for you. Choose the ones that work best for you and set them in motion!
I absolutely loved this book and highly recommend it! Lots of unique ideas how to talk to LDS people from all walks. Biggest thing I learned were really good questions to ask. Lots of reiterating that it’s not about winning an argument but pointing people toward truth in love. It was also encouraging to remember that sharing the gospel with anyone (but in particular LDS) is a lot of long-term invests. Especially the invest of sharing truth and letting the Holy Spirit use it down the road.
