She left him once to live her dream, but can she do it again?
With big dreams of seeing her name in lights on Broadway, Daisy Hayes left behind her small town, family, and the only boy she ever loved. Six years later, broke, unsuccessful, and on the brink of being homeless, she refuses to accept that she failed. But when she receives a phone call from home, she has no choice but to get on the next train and face the past she ran out on all those years ago.
Nick Davis has never fully recovered after his high school sweetheart disappeared without an explanation only hours after he proposed. Throwing himself into school or work, and his father's illness, kept him going. But with his dad now gone and his career a success, he's out of distractions. So when Daisy Hayes comes back to town and he's face-to-face with the girl who broke his heart, he is forced to confront the demons of his past.
Unable to avoid each other, tensions heat up, old chemistry resurfaces, and a love they both thought was lost is found. But with one refusing to look back and the other refusing to let go, their second chance at forever might be over before it even begins.

Long bio:
Theresa Paolo lives in Long Island, NY with her fiancé and their fish. She writes steamy small-town romances with sassy heroines, sexy heroes and feisty townspeople. When she's not writing, she's reading, brewery hopping, or daydreaming. She loves coffee, all things Christmas and fall, and making lists.
Loved it so much that I am reading the rest of the series. Nick is a great guy. Really liked how he admitted that he was still angry but also trying to forgive Daisy. Made my heart hurt that she thought that she had to prove something. Love when a character owns up to their mistakes and apologizes. A sweet love story and so much more. It was a steamy read. A great way to end the series.
An absolutely gorgeous small town romance. All the characters we have come to know and adore are further developed, but this is all about the baby of the family finding love. And, wow, what a great story! Beautifully written, of course, with so much heart. A terrific addition to this great series.
Wow this book couldn’t be better I loved it finally we know the story behind Daisy and Nick... I related to Daisy the most and I understood her story the most but Every single book of this series were very good now what about a book about Brooke and Tyler??? just sayin’ 😬
Dreaming of Daisy (audio) by Theresa Paolo is a trip back to Red Maple Falls where the last of the Hayes family is ready for romance. Betty Hayes, the family matriarch, slipped on some black ice and fell and is prepping for a hip replacement. The family is gathered, including Daisy, who had taken off for New York six years earlier and only dropped in and out, never staying for long. The boyfriend she snuck out on then now works for her brother Mason, at the brewery, at has arrived at the station to pick her up and take her to the hospital. She is beyond worried, and not at all happy to see Nick leaning against his dead father's pickup truck. She is mostly embarrassed about running off without telling him, but also is still attracted to him. He has grown up from the 18 he was when she left and had turned into a very attractive man. This was a dangerous situation for both of them.
Red Maple Falls is home. The books set here are full of the same people we know and love. Betty is a pillar, but so are Grandpa Stanley, and her parents, and Sunday dinner. These are all very likable people, looking for their places in the world. Daisy had gone to New York, looking for her place, which she thought was a Broadway stage. It hadn't worked out as she thought but she was too proud to give up. Nick Davis had found in lot in life: he was a salesman and he was now making Mason's Brewery a success. He had not given up the past: he lived in his parents' home, he drove his father's pickup, he still nursed his anger, and his love for Daisy Hayes. Things needed to change for both of them. This is a small-town, second-chance romance and it is a good one.
Krista Nicely is a decent reader for this very pleasant story. I didn't like the hesitation in her voice, especially for men, but I have heard this often and am assuming it is the director, not the reader. She does a more than competent job and makes the book come alive as she reads.
I was invited to listen to an audio version of this book by the author. All thoughts and opinions are mine.
Theresa Paolo delivers "Big romance in small places" just as her tagline promises!
I have been enjoying this Red Maple Falls series by Theresa Poalo for over four months now, starting with Mad About Matt, continuing through to this story, book six, Dreaming of Daisy . Theresa Poalo writes as if she is stealing my memories of home, family, and small-town farming and ranching, right from the corners of my mind. As I read these romances about siblings from a tight-knit large family, I am overwhelmed by memories of my childhood, noisy family dinners, my grandparents regaling us with stories from their early life, and silly sibling squabbles. Those memories can be bittersweet as the grief from missing my parents and my grandparents who passed away more than a decade ago washes over me, like ocean waves. But just as often, I laugh out loud as Theresa's characters act out a similar incident I had as a child, with even more hillarious results. My rural community did not have as many memorable characters as old man Thompson, driving his tractor down main street, drunk in only his underwear, or Terry of the Happy Apple diner, in her five inch heels and leopard print, but Theresa Paolo's vivid word pictures sweep me away to a happy ever after world, wrapping me in comfort and love of home.
Dreaming of Daisy is the story of the baby of the Hayes family, Daisy, who ran away from her home to make a name for herself. Again, Daisy's story, her thoughts, and her family's interaction are so relatable to me, I feel as though Theresa has watched my life unfold. As I read, Theresa had complete control of my emotions. I laughed, I cried, and I reacted exactly in tune with Daisy and Nick. It was uncanny as well as completely expected based on my experience with Theresa Paolo's previous novels in this series. Theresa's ability to make small-town living come alive in words is the reason I am so in love with her Red Maple Falls series. Making big romance in small places is Theresa Paolo's superpower! I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next!
This is book six in The Red Maple Falls Series and it is Daisy and Nick's story. Daisy and Nick were so in love that Nick proposed only for Daisy to leave in the night and not telling anyone where she was going leaving Nick heartbroken. Now Daisy has returned to Maple Falls six years later and Nick is shocked and even though they still have a strong connection and chemistry between them but will it be a second chance for them or will Daisy leave again. There are twists and turns that makes this a really great story and a page turner and you have to keep reading to see what happens next. Theresa Paolo is a brilliant author and writer and I definitely recommend you read this book, series and other books by her and you will definitely not be disappointed. I Voluntarily Reviewed an ARC Copy of this book.
It’s one thing to follow your dreams, it’s another to not take into account friends and family. Daisy was, in my opinion, selfish in that she only thought of herself in leaving home, leaving friends and family, and the boy who proposed to her without a word or a look back. Had her grandmother not ended up in the hospital, how long would she have been gone before she finally realized back home was where she belonged, or would she have realized it at all? Nick was patient and even tried to put the past behind them, but when she left for her dreams again, she was lucky that he took her back. At least she finally realized that she messed up, however, I think Nick should have made her sweat a little longer.

This is a second chance love story. Daisy and Nick were in love. Nick proposed to her, but Daisy left overnight without letting anyone know where she was going. Six years later, Daisy is back in Maple Falls. Now that her dream has failed and she has come home, will Daisy apologize to Nick for breaking his heart? Will he still want her after what she did to him? Can he ever trust her again?
I really disliked Daisy for her immaturity and callous willingness to walk out without a word. Nick was a sweetheart and suffered needlessly because of the way Daisy handled things. Will he make her grovel? Or will he give her a second chance?
Theresa Paolo is a new to me author. This book is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. I liked this book so much, that I hope to go back and actually read this series from the beginning. I was introduced to a lot of characters that intrigued me, so I want to see their stories too.
Good story line, awesome characters, engaging dialogue, and easy to visualize detailed descriptions.
Written as a 3rd person, multi pov with a HEA ending.

This is my first time reading something by this author. After reading this, I'd really like to go back and read the previous books in the series. It was a well-written story and kept my attention all the way till the end. It's a great small town romance with realistic and relatable characters and real-life situations and challenges. The author does a nice job of bringing the characters and story to life and I liked how everything was tied together nicely at the end. If you're looking for a feel-good book this is one I would definitely recommend.

I like this story, but not as much as the previous ones. This is a second chance at love story. I really dislike Daisy at the beginning, I felt she was a spoiled brat. Nick is a such a great guy and Daisy put him through the wringer. He did forgive Daisy, but not immediately. It was sad that Daisy took so long to come back and make amends. I would recommend this book and the rest of the series. They are all well written love stories.

When you fall in love with your soulmate, love is forever. Daisy, the youngest daughter in the Hayes family, can't move on after she goes to New York and leaves Nick, the man she loves behind. Will they have a second chance if he can forgive her, now that she has returned to Red Maple Falls? The grandmother makes this series with her outgoing personality and humor! She may be speaking the truth about soulmates.

A fun and enjoyable second chance romance you'll be glad you added to your reading list. The story line is entertaining, smooth flowing and may have you laughing out loud at times. Gotta love grandma in this story. You'll easily fall in love with Nick and Daisy as you get swept up in their story of their second chance at a HEA. A truly enjoyable read for your end of summer evenings sitting in your backyard enjoying the last of the summer breeze.

Few typos here and there, apart from which I was at the edge of my seat for the most part sensing and waiting for the worst part to come but thank god it wasn't very dramatic and handled well. Decent and cute read. Would have loved to understand their past relationship better (Please note that if this was already discussed in the previous books of the series, I am not aware since I read this as a standalone but I always throw in this disclaimer and request readers to read the whole series in order to get more context and overcome such issues).
The sixth book in the A Red Maple Falls Novel series a well written second chance story that held my interest until the end. Daisy Hayes left Red Maple Falls six years ago, and has now come back she meets Nick Davis, again the man that asked her to marry him back then. They will have a lot to overcome before they get a happy ending. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The writing will draw you in after only a few pages and have you finishing the book in one sitting. There is the perfect amount of angst and romance and grit to keep you hooked.
I loved how their relationship unfolded so we could see these amazing characters grow in ways you never expected. I would suggest picking up a copy asap, you will not be disappointed.

I thoroughly enjoyed this new "Red Maple Falls" story. It's Daisy and Nick's story. It's a good second chance story with some nice twists. Six years early he proposed to her then she fled in the night. Now six years later she is back home. I love the dialogue! This is such a good story that is a touch emotional. As these two struggle to move forward and get a second chance. It's nicely developed and well written. I love the characters and the chemistry is definitely undeniable.
I loved the story of Daisy and Nick although there were many times I wanted to slap Daisy! The book was full of a wonderful sense of family with a feisty no no nonsense grandma, grumpy grandpa, lots of siblings, children animals, well written and fun characters. I am new to this series but will definitely go back and read the earlier books. Sometimes a person is so busy trying to achieve their dream they don't stop to realise their dream has changed. A lovely contemporary romance.

This is a beautiful feel good read and it is Nick and Daisy's story. Loved the characters, made you feel right there, their chemistry was also at the fore. They both had a hard time getting together, but they also owned up to their mistakes. Love has a way to make everything right. Good read

This is a story of love and second chances. She flees after being proposed to and never looked back or cared, fast-forward years later and her spoiled, immature, and selfish being is home and she is making a play to break his heart all over again. will he give in and give her a second chance and can she grow up?
This novel falls short of the standard set in the previous books in this series. The constant whining, self-centeredness, immaturity of the heroine grew very annoying and boring. To say Daisy was a spoiled, immature bubblehead is being kind. 🙄
The book is a good small town romance read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry. The story is an enjoyable second chance romance read.

In book #6 of Red Maple Falls Series is the second chance romance with Nick and Daisy. They were sweethearts and when he proposes she runs away until years later when she returns and has to explain to Nick. Will he forgive her and take her back?
Unfortunately, I almost DNF at 60%. They went on and on and on and if you’re not familiar with the series and all the extended characters, the author writes a lot about people you don’t know or care about at this point.
Little town romances are heartwarming. A feel good read that transports the reader to the simplicities of life. Enjoyed the characters - Loved lovable Nick and glad Daisy came to her senses eventually.
It is a sweet book, but I wanted/expected more romance. I did feel like I was part of the family by the end of the book. Overall it’s a great book, I think I expected more romance.
