Aquest llibre hauria de comptar com quatre. No sé quantes vegades me l’he rellegit, i no per plaer precisament.

Kvantá obrázkou zjednodušujú pochopenie náročný konceptov a tém.

"Had to" read this for my histology class. My first impression the absolute first week was ugh, I'm not going to understand anything, screw this, I'll just use the lectures/internet resources. However, since being peppered by the lecturers to read it, and also some classmates saying it ain't that bad, I decided last one and a half week of class to skim through it.

Surprisingly readable actually and was nice complementary reading towards the end to solidify the knowledge and see the material in another context. Ended up not skimming that much, but actually reading throughly. Every chapter has a summary and some test questions which helped alot, so if you don't want to read too throughly you can still gather the key concepts in the end and test your knowledge.

I never read textbooks from cover to cover (who does, honestly?) but I've studied huge chunks of Junqueira's, more than 70 percent of it, so I feel somewhat safe to say "I've read it".
Of course, after more than a year I barely remember anything but I guess it's made my histology foundation relatively solid.
The pictures are gorgeous, too. (Because at the end of the day, books with cool pictures are better than books with no pictures and I sometimes think maybe that's why I got into biology in the first place.)

Honestly this is the prettiest book. We only grt like 2 questions from histology so we didn't have to read it much but THESE ARTISTS WENT OFF WITH THIS ONE. Every diagram every picture, the colour scheme, the summary boxes woahhh

Junq is one of the best histo texts I've seen, actually. Except for his occasional lie; best medical text in fall M1 after Constanzo.

An overall good textbook for cytology. I even did a fast run through it for revision before my 3rd year General Pathology course.

There are a few places they make bold statements off young research that isn't totally confirmed, but it does read easy and teach basic histology students who are new to the subject.
