Mindset Reset: 7 Pillars to a Positive Mindset

Rate this book
Often in life we are carried along on the stream of everyday events and challenges. We try to take care of our we think about going to the gym and what we are going to eat but we rarely take time to consider how we are going to look after our minds. We all have a fairly good grip on the concept that wellbeing starts in the mind, but in our daily rituals most of us have few or no strategies to help us clarify what we want, to assess how we are tracking, and to reset our old thinking patterns. When we learn new things about ourselves we experience those 'ah-ha' moments of revelation. We all have periods of time when we feel better. However, just as we need to exercise our bodies for physical wellbeing, we also need to exercise our minds, to reinforce these new revelations and new ways of thinking. If we don't, and because old habits die hard, we default to unhelpful thinking styles and patterns. The key to changing any habit is repetition. If I asked you 'What is 12x12?', you would probably answer (perhaps with some trepidation) '144'. If I asked you 'What is 19x19?', you would most certainly need a calculator. The difference? You learned your times tables (up to 'twelves" by repeating them over and over again; they became a habit and now you can probably recite them at the drop of a hat. (BTW the answer is 361!).The same is with any skill or new way of thinking. We must continue to practice in order to change. Consider the time you spend each day on yourself and on focusing your thoughts in a positive direction. We recommend at least 15 minutes of focused, positive thinking every day. Work through this course at your own pace. Don't rush it. We have put this Mindset Reset together using a systematic approach designed to help you self-reflect along the way. That is where your shifts will come from. As we say at INSITE MIND, 'words don't teach, experiences do', which is why you should consider how each topic relates specifically to you and your experience. Read the theory and the examples and make sure you complete your worksheets. By the end of the book you'll have the tools, and the confidence Write goals Visualise a successful you Change unhelpful thinking styles Manage negative thinking Change your environment to help you become successful in any area... and so much more!Let's get started!
