Ms. Sands' Heart of a Texan pulls at everything which is best in us. The gasp and thrill of danger, the marvelous burn of desire, the innocent charm of the young, and the endearing warmth of family and good friends all find a voice within this wonderful novel.

I shall return to read more of Ms. Sands' work, for in her I have found an author certain to please.

Bella, Sienna(her daughter) and her friend Amy are traveling down the road when they come upon a wreck..the car is on fire..Bella runs to see if anyone is in the car and when she finds Jared there she pulls him out of the car before it explodes....she stays by his side at the hospital til his brother Cooper shows up..Bella is hiding from her father who was trying to force her to marry a man she didn't want to marry. The only person who knows what she is doing is her best friend Amy.. When Bella is asked to come visit Jared by his brother she goes and while there lands a job and a place to live. While they are together they become closer and closer. Jared seems to care for her daughter too...This was a heart warming sweet story of overcoming hurts from our pasts to come together and love. As with all Billionaires and Babies stories this is a page turner that tugs at your heart.

Bella loses her husband and is left to raise their baby alone. Her wealthy dad threatens to take Sienna away if she does not agree to marry a man he has chose and step up to run his company.
She runs to a friend and then on long dark road saves the life of wealthy rancher. Since her dreams are to be a chef and he needs help for a while, she hides at his ranch and then they fall in love. She never tells him her true identity and when he finds out he thinks she was using him.
Thank goodness her Dad comes to his senses and they start building ther relationship back. Jared sees that he can't live without her and understands she was protecting her baby and ask her to marry him.

3.5 stars rated down. Love the h and H's chemistry, their love. The story, plot, characters deserve a solid 3 star. Another half gold star as the h wasn't a cliched, spineless woman. I haven't met any millionaire who wasn't working always. Didn't see the H actually spend time on work in this book - just vague mentions on Dallas office spaces!

Bella's bravery to save Jared's life gave her a temporary space place for a time, but you just can't out run trouble that's determined to catch you. This is such a great read, it's one that I'll treasure for a long time . Well worth the time and effort.

This was a good read.

This was a good read. Different from some of the other books. I liked the story, the characters, and the happy ending. Happy that the hero figures out that sometimes speed is not the answer. Sometimes you have to slow down and see what is around you. He found happiness.

Sometimes life let's love get another chance

I loved this story. Didn't want to put "Heart of a Texan" by Charlene Sands down. Learning to love again has many challenges, but the end result can be amazing.

Ms. Sands writes a beautiful story about love, loss, and taking chances again. Jared is a strong character even if he risks his life needlessly. Bella is a woman on the run just looking for stability. Neither believes they can find what they need in each other and the explosion is written beautifully.
