Perfect little guide.
The Practical Pendulum Book takes you through step-by-step on working with (and successfully scrying with) a pendulum. It goes over in detail what materials to use, how to hold the pendulum and includes a whole bunch of awesome charts that you can use while scrying with your pendulum.
This is a great guy that I think everybody who is thinking of working with a pendulum should pick up and read. At the very least you should have it at the ready for a quick reference.

This book was a big disappontment. It had so many good reviews (it was even recommanded on a website about the pendulum!) that I'd expected something more. Truth is, this book doesn't explain anything, it barely contains any text at all.
The charts are cute, but there isn't any suggestion on how to use them, you have to figured it out by yourself. It could help you choose a pendulum, maybe, at least in the shapes or materials... but that's all. It's not a book for beginners, not at all.
Plus, I didn't like the talk about "sexual deviation".

Had some interesting info but may be a little confusing for a beginner. I felt I could have used more explanation on how to use the charts in the book. The explanations that are there are simplified for space. However, the book does provide a lot of charts that can be useful once one figures out how to use them later on. And I did pick up a couple useful facts regardless.
