Second book in the Predgarians series, which introduces a familiar cast with a new twist. Seriously, the extent of Jackal's pettiness knows no bounds. The novel is peppered with action and fight scenes, then culminates with one epic battle royale as its finale. Personally haven't read a book that keeps such a ferocious pace while also promising good pacing between character development and combat. A rarity, and very enjoyable.
I've got book 3 and 4 on my reading list, and looking forward to seeing more of this cast. (Dove is my favorite.)
