Ija Hamilton I would have never thought that I would become a stripper a.k.a Pleasure Dancer but that’s exactly what I am. I step on stage and sway my hips and body, putting men under a trance. They spend their money while I show my body. With my past, you would never thought that I would be able to do this. That was then. Now I have to do what I have to do. My beloved grandfather is sick, and I need money to take care of him. I think that I'm stripping in front of strangers, but one pair of eyes belongs to my attacker, coming back for me. Nickolas Walton When my brother and I opened Super Nova, we both agreed that getting involved with the Pleasure Dancers would be a big mistake. That didn’t matter to me the moment Ija walked on stage to do her thing. I watched as she moved her body to the music, putting every man under her spell. I became hard as a rock the moment she started to move. I try my hardest to ignore the feelings I was having towards her, but they are too strong. Something tells me that she is hiding something. Little does she know that I won’t allow that to stop me from getting what I want...and what I want is HER!
If you want something light with a little drama this is the story. Ija,the granddaughter, just attempting to make some money to help her grandfather's last days as easy as possible. Meets club owner, Nick, whose trying to live outside of his father's unorthodox shadow. Nick helps Ija past former trauma while showing her that she's not alone when her personal terrorist come back for her. There were some minor grammatical errors. It seemed that the author may have copied and paste a couple of the speaking parts but overall a solid effort.
Wow who would have thought het sick ass friend Jeremy would do all that just for a piece. T.M. Pigatt another badass book boo. Loved it and I'm hoping for a Book 2.
The story, though an entertaining one, just lacked depth of detail and development which made it read like an amateur novella. I made myself finish the book but there was too much tell and not enough show to enable me to give this story anything above a two star. Too much cliches , lacked verisimilitude.. keep trying Ms. Pigatt to refine your craft!
The storyline was decent and a tear jerker. It could have been better with proofreading. The grammar, punctuation, and misspelling were detractors from the story and often confusing.
This was a good book full of drama, love, and suspense. It kept me guessing who the culprit was but I finally figured it out on my own. I enjoyed reading this book. The characters were well written into the storyline. I've enjoyed all of this particular author's books!
T.M. that was one short story, I read before I went to bed in one sitting.... It is a page turner, I couldn't put it down. However, I would like to know Jeremy's real name. Short and sweet folks!!
What I liked about this book was the the dialogue. I laughed out loud in some places. The situations the characters found themselves in were gritty and real. I liked the Nick and Larson. They really cared for Ija.
