It’s never too late for a second chance. Nonna is what you might call a late bloomer. She’s bored of sitting around watching life pass by, so she decides to make some large scale life changes. With a new group of friends, a new life and at least one run-in with the law, Nonna proves that you are never too old to change your life. Sometimes, love lasts forever. Although life presents her with a new love interest, she finds herself unable to fully move on from the love she shared with her first husband, James. Will she take a chance on love, or will the love she had with James far overshadow any other potential relationships? She has given advice to countless friends and neighbors, will she listen to her own advice? Always follow your heart.
I am a 39 year old who just decided in January 2015 to finally write a book. I am excited that I have three books on Goodreads now!
I'm an avid reader, I have a tendency to zone out the world when I'm reading. I always wanted to be able to write but I would get started, and then a page later, I was done.
My husband, Mike, and I live in Wareham, MA with our (gulp) eleven rescued pets.
I made a good friend in A. E. Murphy (an awesome author, please check her out!) who kept nudging me (ok, seriously pushing me) into writing.
I am so happy that this author decided to give Nonna her own book. I fell in love with Nonna in Second Hand Purses because she was such a strong, live life to the fullest woman and it didn’t hurt that she reminded me of my own Nonna. Such a wonderful story that I couldn’t put down. A real feel good read.
Fabulous! Wonderful! The concept might be a little unusual but it is so perfect for Nonna. Four letters made me cry because my heart hurt and when laughing just wasn't enough.
5 Superb Stars for Nonna! Beth, brought back my most favorite character. This book dives into a bit of the paranormal romance genre, which isn't generally my cup of tea. But Nonna says that's ok, she'll fix me up a plate of anise cookies and we can talk about it. Seriously though, Nonna has been my favorite character since she was introduced. Since I have a serious problem with devouring Beth's books, I'll just tell you that this story was different and glorious and wonderful and will leave you breathless and laughing out loud. Breathless because the love that Nonna and James have for each other spans even through his death decades before, and laughing out loud, because, well, Nonna is hysterical. You'll just have to read the book if you want to know what kind of shenanigans she's up to now. I promise, you won't be disappointed. With amazing supporting characters and Nonna herself, this one will leave you begging for more.. Get in line though, I already begged Beth for more!
5 Glorious Stars! Nonna Nonna Nonna! This book was superb. Nonna is by far one of my most very favorite characters ever. She makes an impact and is someone you will never forget...everyone needs to meet her and fall in love because you will be missing out until you do. This book takes you on a journey through her life and if I had to put it in a slot for genres...I can't pick just one, Nonna breaks the rules! Her book would fall under the chick lit para romcom category lol Seriously amazing book by Elizabeth Butts. ..they all are and I'd highly recommend each and every one!
Another amazing book! I’m so happy that Nonna was given her own book. She is so larger than life and reminded me of my own Nonna. I couldn’t put it down and read it in just a few hours. This is a wonderful feel good read and I recommend it to everyone.
So glad that the author decided to write more omn the charge Nona. She is such a strong presence and deserved her own book. This is funny and touching. A great read
