I give three stars to Palmer's retelling, otherwise, the story is tremendous.

La novela es atrapante una vez que llegas a la mitad, al comienzo de la misma se hace un poco repetitivo en torno a detalles insignificantes y tambien pesado. El final es muy emocionante y alegre.

Round the World in Eighty Days - Michael Dean (adapted), Andy Hopkins (Editor), Jocelyn Potter (Editor), Jules Verne (2001)
[Penguin Readers Elementary (Level 2)]

Genre: EnglishGradedReaders/ Fiction/ Adventure
Pages: 43
Rating: 7.5/10

Theme: Challenge/ Love/ Relationships/ Imperialism/ Perseverance/ Honor/ Problem-Solving/ Morality

Opener:
“In 1872, the Reform Club in London's Pall Mall was a club for men only. Phileas Fogg went to the Preform Club every day. He left his house at 7 Savile Row at 11.30 in the morning and walked to the club. He had his lunch and his dinner there. He read the papers at the club, and he played cards. He left late in the evening and walked back to Savile Row. He went to bed at midnight.”

Summary:
Victorian-era Englishman Phileas Fogg proclaims before his fellow members of a London gentleman's club that he can circumnavigate the globe in a mere 80 days, further boasting that he will bet the princely sum of 20,000 pounds on the success of his endeavor. With his stalwart manservant Passepartout alongside, he goes forth on his adventure, pursued by a dogged Police Inspector who suspects Fogg of chicanery.

Final review:
Extremely fast-paced and equally enjoyable novel, Jules Verne’s most well-known piece of work is adapted very well given the page constraints.

4, It doesn't know whether Phileas Fogg can go round the world in eighty days. And he starts to find twenty thousand ponds.
Everything will turn out for the best all the time! It tells me through this book.

5, this book is used own language of this story's characters. So I can feel like I'm in this world.
