This Older Man Younger Woman Military Romance is a full novel with no cliff-hanger, lots of steam and an awesome HEA.
For your enjoyment, I have included a special bonus "The Billionaire's Toy" that is exclusive to this book and has never been published before. Hey, this is very SPICY but only for a limited time!!! YO-YO
I downloaded The First Time with the Major from Instafreebies website.
Molly is part owner of a local bakery in a small town in Idaho and one morning a man walks in that changes her ideas on what she wants in a man. Robert is a Major in the Air Force and stationed at a nearby base in the training section for pilots and he is older but still a very handsome man. The attractions is mutual and instant for these two as they take it slowly getting to know one another making this a sweet romance.
Molly lets Robert know that her First Time with a Major will be a special gift just for him and he is mature, considerate and turned on by her innocence and willingness to learn to enjoy her sexuality with him as he dominates her. I enjoyed the plot, the sweet sex scenes, the maturity of the characters and the support of friends and family and the way they all supported each other in a small town.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book by Mia Ford and can honestly say it's my favorite so far from this author. A story about a hot older alpha man, Robert, and the young woman, Molly, who catches his eye and heart. When they meet it's a mutual attraction but because of Molly's past and an ex, she doesn't easily trust or go out anymore until Robert. He breaks through all her walls and she worms her way into his heart. I loved this book with steamy scenes and I enjoyed that there was no one trying to tear them apart and how patient he was with Molly and in turn she gave him everything. Building up their relationship easing into it, becoming friends and then finally becoming lovers. When I was done I had the biggest smile on my face and the deleted scenes and epilogue.....WOW WOW WOW. *I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book*
I always enjoy reading Mia Ford's books but First Time with the Major is definitely my new favorite! The storyline is great and you can't help but get hooked to the story by the amazing characters. Molly owns the local coffee shop with her best friend. One morning a new customer comes in and sparks Molly's interest. Robert is new to town after transferring to the nearby Air Force base. He is attracted to Molly when he first meets he but can see how guarded she is. Robert slowly gets to know Molly and gets through the walls she has built around herself. I love how patient and caring Robert was with Molly and how she gave him everything in return. This was a great sexy yet sweet romance. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book Oh what a beautiful, story. Molly works in the local coffee shop with her friend Noel. She doesn't date much due to a bad experience with an ex and now doesn't trust men easily. That is until he walks in the door .......Major Robert Johnson...wow. He is a lot older than she is but the chemistry is scorching hot. Robert is such a sweet caring man who can see that Molly is quite shy. After travelling around the world in his job, he wants to settle. He has never quite met anyone like Molly as she makes him feel like no other woman makes him feel. He slowly gains her trust and he is so romantic. Everything about this story was just perfect. Robert shows Molly how to trust and know that there are good men out there. Fantastic, loved it.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. I really enjoyed this latest book by Ms Ford. Molly and Robert were great! They had chemistry from the beginning. Even though Molly had a bad experience with her ex and had trouble trusting a man, she learned that all men are not like her ex and that Robert would never hurt her. Robert thought he would never find love and someone to make a life with. He felt he was married to his job and that his chance for love would never happen. The two were so great together. I loved the storyline. It was sexy and hot as well as hopeful.I loved the HEA and look forward to more books by Ms Ford.
Molly owns and runs a coffee shop with her best friend in a small town. Robert has recently been stationed at Air Force base near town. Even though he has always been in the move, there is something about Molly that makes him think he might just stick around. I thought the ending was a little abrupt and then there was the epilogue. I'm a lover of epilogues, but really, how many do you need? It was almost like "The End"...are you sure this time? I thought maybe we'd hear a little more about Olivia too. Overall, I enjoyed it and gave it 4 stars.
Mia Ford does it again with another spectacular book. Robert and Molly are wonderful characters that I fell in love with right from the start. Robert is such an alpha, dominant male but I love the patience that he has with Molly. He is so caring and loving and helps her get over her past without pressuring her. A great story that is a must read! I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book.
I just couldn’t get into this, the author has a very odd writing style, it’s almost like the characters are reading out statements it’s weird. The first introduction to the characters was offputting especially the major he sounded very creepy. The story starts with chapter 2, whatever happened to chapter 1 is anybody’s guess. Not a book I’d recommend.
Just when I thought Mia Ford's next book couldn't get any better than the previous one, she goes and writes First Time with the Major, an older man/younger woman military romance story. Well written with great characters, some twists and turns, a bit of drama, a scandal, passion, sizzling chemistry, and plenty of steamy sex scenes that all leads to love and a HEA.
I volunteered to review an advanced readers copy of this book.
Robert is a military man. A hard man. A man who never settles down. Molly has been hurt. She is young. She is innocent. Bring these two together and you have instant chemistry. A great read that had likeable characters, good story line and plenty of hot times to go around. *I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy of this book *
First Time with the Major was Molly and Robert's journey. I wanted a military hero since it was Independence Day. Robert was very sweet, very caring, and very Alpha. It was a quick read. I didn't read the bonus books, so this review is just for the title book.
I really liked this younger woman/older man story. Molly and Robert were great together and I loved them both immediately. Their chemistry was hot! If you enjoy younger woman/older man romances I definitely recommend you reading this. *I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is my honest review.*
Mia has delivered again, she never fails on the Hot & Steamy Older Man / Younger Woman reads. The dominant and assertive yet sweet Major, and Molly who is trying to let go of past hurts have and instant and explosive chemistry. This read has a few twists and turns, some drama and heated steam. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Another Great story from Mia Ford, I Couldn't put it down had to read in one night, The story about Molly and Robert plus the chemistry was 100% hot between them. There a few twists and turns along the way, Grab a copy now I highly recommend it, you won't be disappointed
I voluntarily read this book for an honest review. I really enjoyed this refreshing storyline. Robert is new in town and stops in to the local coffee house and time stills when he sees Molly. Can he be the man Molly needs to overcome her fears, and is he strong enough to handle her past or will he move on past her demons. Cute read!
Pretty well developed nice story with likeable sexy hot characters that are full of chemistry and steam between the two. Older man/younger woman with some good twists and turns and of course your HEA. Told in both POV's which I really enjoy. A great read for your holiday weekend
Mia writes another sensual erotic story with an older man/younger woman. I was not not disappointed with this book. The story was well-written. This book received for an honest review.
***I voluntarily read this ARC to give an honest review*** Great love story with an adequate dash of lovemaking and BDSM. A May/December romance that keeps you glued to the book. Great job Mia!
Ah, the tale of Molly and Robert. I almost feel as though it should be a folk song. “First Time with the Major” was a fun read. It was a sweet romance.
Likes: Mia Ford’s handling of Molly’s virginity. So many stories have this insta-attraction that will have the characters jumping into bed fairly fast. In this case, it’s drawn out as the couple get to know each other. I loved that Robert was older. I really enjoyed the bits and pieces we got to see in their work lives: Molly at the café and Robert on the AFB. Also, the handling of the annoying ex and the baggage that came with Lance was handled well.
Dislikes: While others may well disagree, I thought the wrap up moved a bit too quickly for me. The pace of the story had been slow until about chapter 21 and I didn’t see the point of two (+ bonus) epilogues or the deleted scenes. Personally, I would have preferred to see them incorporated into the story but that’s me. Since I did receive an ARC, I’m assuming the numerous wrong words I came across were fixed before final publication.
Overall, it’s a sweet story. There are hints of kink that could have easily been skipped making for a sweet romance or better incorporated into the story making for a more engaging story instead of hiding them at the end in the deleted scenes.
* And this is the part where I indicate to the powers at Amazon that I received an ARC but am a bit late in posting my review. Thank you.
I love reading Mia Ford's books. First Time with the Major was a sweet, romantic, tender story that had a little dark past flashbacks for Molly. Major Robert "Rob" Johnson who is an older man with a taste for submissive women. Molly Randall is a young innocent virgin who has been hurt in a previous relationship that left some scars along with fears of being with an aggressive or dominating man and is filled with insecurities.
Rob was in town to do damage control at the military base, from a scandal that had erupted. He was there to do a job and leave. He stops by the cafe coffee shop and sees Molly and likes what he sees. Molly is immediately attracted to the major when he comes into the cafe that she partners with her best friend and college buddy Noel. They eventually start talking then go out and a relationship develops slowly as they fall for each other. The sex gets steamier with each time to meet.
It's a small town romance where everyone knows everyone and families are close and protective. Rob who tends to be solitary finds himself blended into the fabric of Molly's life and family. I enjoyed watching their bond grow and it's feels like falling in love for the first time. They each find they have a moment of regret when Rob is involved in a serious traffic accident and their first thought was the did not get a chance to express their true feelings for each other.
Mia weaves a full story of the lives of the people in the town and in Molly's life and you feel right at home as though you live there. If you like strong authoritative alpha males who know how to take care of their women you are going to love this story. A delicious read. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
❤ {.English Review.}❤ ★★★★ (4’5 stars) Mia did it again! I love Mia's style of writing, the characters, the stories that create... and this story is... AMAZING! Sweet, sexy... you'll melt when you're read it, I promise!! Molly and her best friends have a cafe where they work. One day, appears a man. He is Robert, and he feels attracted for Molly, he thinks her friend is sexy but she is different. Molly has the hope to see him again the next day, she puts on makeup but… he don’t appears, so she and her best friend go to a date to watch a movie. There is Robert, their eyes meet and they cannot stop look each other… Young girl/Old man beautiful story. **** I voluntarily received an Advance Reader Copy of this book. ****
This book started out good enough. Molly and Rob's story was interesting and kept me reading for about the first half. Then it went downhill. I finished to finish but I was no longer engaged. We started skipping huge gaps of time and skipping really important elements to the story. The book then began reading like a narrative account, rather than an engaging story. There were multiple story elements that were started and then just dropped. It felt like we had this decent book going and then it needed to be finished so the second half was just thrown together in haste. In addition, I'm disappointed and annoyed because the book alludes to themes that don't get delivered on. Examples: 1) Rob wasn't controlling at all 2) Mollys past 'trauma' was stupid/ anticlimactic 3) There wasn't any BDSM to speak of. We're told that they try new and kinky things but you don't actually see any of these scenes until a deleted scene 4) The sex scenes were bland and repetitive.
On a positive note, during the first half of the book, I loved most of the characters. The family unity and support was very nice. The way the police and their first customer of the morning looked out for them was sweet. I really do hate to speak poorly about a book and give neagative reviews but the story was just all over the place, disjointed and unpolished (at least half of it).
Molly is fresh out of college that moved to her best friends hometown to open a cafe bakery that also offers books to read while customers are there. She has been hurt in the past by the one boy she thought that she would marry luckily she didn't sleep with him. She hasn't wanted to have a relationship with anyone since until one day Robert and older man comes into the cafe. Robert is in the military and is new to the town. When he goes into the cafe he sees Molly he is surprised on how attracted he is to her. Usually he is drawn to women a little older than Molly and he hardly does relationships but there is something about her that keeps him coming back to see her. Will Molly give Robert a chance or will her virginity scare him away? I received this book as an ARC copy for a voluntarily honest review. This book was a good story but I was kinda disappointed. I wish there would have been some type of suspense or mystery with the story.
So first of all I have reviewed over 700 books and I’ve never DNF’ed a book, but this was so close. I wanted to know what Molly’s back story was, but we are never really told what her ex really did wrong. I didn’t connect with her at all. Then Robert wasn’t sure that she was right for him since she was so much younger and he wanted a sub. While we never really get there either. The most steam was in the ‘deleted’ scenes, but the actual story was just disjointed and didn’t work for me at all. I had a hard time following since it seemed like things just jumped from one scene to another with no transitions. I normally read a book in one to two days and this one took a full week. Needs a good overhaul.
Poorly written. Poorly edited. First this is a ton of stories, not just the one you actually intended to purchase. I read the first two and couldn't take any more. Poorly written- when the (first) story was coming to a climax it was like the author got bored and instead of writing a connecting story you suddenly had several scenes only connected by the characters also labeled "deleted scene" or "epilogue 2". It came across as lazy writing and it was disappointing. Poorly edited- wrong words, misspellings, using wrong pronouns or names (story switches perspective and it's like they forgot whose perspective they were in), and massive continuity errors. This has some potential but this needs a lot of work. As it is, it is a waste of any readers time.
Molly is a young woman, that co-owns a café with her best friend. She is sweet and shy. Having come out of a bad relationship she is reluctant for another one. Until Robert enters her life. Robert is a Major in the military and has come to town to deal with the scandal on the base. His life is his career and isn't looking for love. And he sees Molly and it all changes. The story was really good. Older man, younger woman who are completely different. Bound together by one common thing. Their strong attraction to one another. I thought Robert was very sweet and caring giving Molly the time she needs to heal from her wreck of a previous relationship. This was another hit for me.
