Burning Yuletide

Rate this book
Estelle Three-Hearts has one goal for the holidays – finish her charity calendar for the ‘Smoke Detectors in Every Building’ program to provide fire safety for the citizens of Three Lakes. Luckily, her uncle is a captain for the fire department who’s recruited volunteers to pose for the sexy firefighter calendar. There’s nothing more fun to look at than half-naked firefighters all year round.

Mark Redfeather, a Firebird shifter, has learned to use his birthright for firefighting rather than fire-lighting. When his captain asked for volunteers for the charity calendar, he had no plans to participate – until he meets Estelle, and recognizes her as his mate.

Estelle is human and knows nothing about the Elder Races, but when an arsonist strikes her home and studio, Mark is forced to reveal his secret. Estelle must decide if he’s the monster she fears or the man who sets her heart on fire.

I love Mark and Estelle's story. This was a nice diversion from the standard shifter fare. I'd never read about Fire Birds before and am now anxious to read about Thunderbirds. I was so glad Estelle came around after talking with Kate!

Siobhan never fails to deliver a consuming plot and intricate character development. Estelle and Mark had amazing dynamics and I thoroughly enjoy her paranormal works. If you like strong females, alpha males and lots of steam then this books for you.

Siobhan writes amazing stories. She did not disappoint with this one. The characters, emotions, and everything else is very believable. Her story line was easy to follow and I was quick to follow and quick to immerse myself in the story. Almost as if I were a character as well.

Estelle wants to make this calendar a success and make sure that every home in Three Lakes, Michigan has working smoke detectors. In the middle of working on this calendar featuring sweet, hot sexy firefighters and cute puppies and kittens up for adoption, she meets the hunky brooding Mark. Mark has a soul burning secret deep down inside him that leaps for joy at finding his one but how will she react once she finds out his secret? Will she run or stay? Will Estelle's past come back to haunt her again? You'll have to read to find out....

Estelle wants to make sure that every home has a good working smoke detector so, she uses her talent as a photographer for a calendar featuring hot firemen and woman. She wants to make sure that what happened when she was a child doesn’t happen again. Mark is a firefighter with a burning secret, and after falling for Estelle, he worries on how she will react. But there is something more sinister at work that they never see coming. Can Mark get to her before it’s too late? Really enjoyed reading urning Yuletide. Another great story from the fabulous Siobhan Muir.

What a wonderful read! I truly enjoy stories that incorporate history or mythology. I love the stories of the Elder Races and the strength of their beliefs. This sweet story not only embraces the Elder Races, but supports a well needed collaboration between Firefighters and the Calendars they do for worthwhile organizations and causes. The Cause for this group is to bring smoke detectors to all the homes and businesses of this one area. The mingling of fact and fantasy bring about an amazing read!

Estelle is doing a charity calendar for Smoke Detectors for the town she lives in and Mark, a Firebird, is a firefighter who volunteers to be in the calendar. They hit it off right from the get go and Mark knows she's his mate but she's human and he knows he'll have to tell her what he is. What happens when Estelle is caught in a fire? What happens when Mark tells her what he is? This was a beautiful story that I will definitely reread.

Supernatural Winter Romance

Mark Redfeather is an Arapaho firefighter with a massive secret. Estelle Three Hearts is a photographer who is half Cree. She is doing a 'hot firefighter' calendar.
This is well-written, and at times, thrilling. It is set at Christmas, Yuletide, but it isn't Christmassy. There is angst and danger, and the characters seem nice, but it didn't hit the spot for me.

This was a sweet story of a mythical creature and the human he bonds with. Once she finds out what he is, she isn't sure if she should stick around. The freak out is real. Learning that your fairy tales are real is a big shock. Add a tragedy to that, and you have the makings of some serious drama.

2.5 While I enjoyed this peek into the Elder Races it was over much to quick! I guess I need to read more by Ms. Muir. Mark and Estelle's story had the shifter "insta love" troupe, but the elder races and that hierarchy was new to me.

Siobhan has done it again! This was a great little read, that I will reread again and again. My only issue with this particular novella was it wasn't longer! Loved it!
