Doting uncle to my niece, Laurie, and my soon-to-be nephew.

All-around sexy, single guy who doesn’t do strings—ever.

Then I went to Vegas with my sister-in-law’s best friend, Sage.

Choices were made. Alcoholic beverages were consumed. Virginities were taken.

Hers, not mine.

Then Sage announced I’d knocked her up. And oh yeah, she doesn’t expect me to take an active role, because she knows I can’t handle anything except my d*ck.

Say what?

She’s so wrong, and I’m going to prove it to her. I’m going to claim my baby—and Sage.

3.75 First Time’s the Charm Stars

When I noticed Taryn Quinn, otherwise known as authors Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott, had a new book releasing, I wanted to give it a shot. I’ve enjoyed both of these authors individually so I knew anything coming from the two of them together would probably be right up my ally. Luckily for me, that proved to be true.

She consternated me almost as much as she intrigued me, and I was positive the reverse was also true— possibly without the intrigue.

Sage and Oliver have had a sort of love/hate thing going since they first met. Though both from the same town, Oliver and his fancy private school education meant he didn’t get the chance to socialize much with Sage. Fast forward several years and Sage’s BFF gets romantically involved with Oliver’s twin brother and the two are forced to spend time together, whether they like it or not.

Truth be told, they both kinda like it. Sage has always been extremely attracted to uptight Oliver but figured she wasn’t going to waste her time trying to impress him when he’d never bother seeing her an anything more than his sister in law’s annoying friend. Conversely, Oliver’s been fascinated by Sage’s snarky personality and her take no shit attitude. The fact she’s built like a 1950s pinup doesn’t hurt, either.

When Oliver and Sage find themselves in Vegas, the two quickly agree to a no strings attached weekend affair. You know, in the name of research. Who better to teach inexperienced Sage the awesomeness of some down and dirty sex than Oliver?

“Are you asking me out?”
I tightened my hold on her. She was a glorious armful, and I liked her just that way. “More like I’m asking me in.”
“Oh.” She blinked. “Ohh.”

To be honest, I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about this book. I’ve read enough “virgin gets knocked up the first time she has sex” stories to last a lifetime. That cover doesn’t do much for me, either, but I’m glad I gave it a chance. It took me a while to start relating to either character but once the story got going, it sucked me right in. Sage’s fun and ballsy personality matched with Oliver’s stoicism and reserved nature was just what I needed.

Without a doubt, my favorite thing about this story is Oliver and the stick up his ass that gradually seemed to disappear the more time he spent with Sage. Unlike other rich, good looking men found in the romance world, he never denied his growing feelings for Sage or made her feel less than because he was “scared” and didn’t know how to handle it. Even when that inevitable “opps, we’re pregnant” thing happened, he manned up like a champ and set about letting Sage know exactly how he felt about her.

This cute and sexy read is the second book of the series but can be read as a stand-alone if that’s your thing. Sage, Oliver and their slightly off kilter relationship was a fun bit of sexy, snarky and sweet all rolled into one.

The very active writing duo with the Taryn Quinn by line are back crafting a novel that dares readers to smile and fan themselves with the fun, sweet and sexy antics of Oliver Hamilton, loving uncle, successful business owner and professed bachelor in his quest to keep an eye on his sister-in-law’s best friend, Sage, when she goes to Vegas for a wild getaway.

But what happens in Vegas… has consequences because once there, Oliver decides to be more than a protector. Acting on the unrecognized attraction that had been between them way before their trip, Oliver and Sage enjoy their time in Vegas and when they go back home and Sage announces she’s pregnant with Oliver’s baby but expects nothing of him, he sets out to prove he’s a changed man and claim her heart and their baby.

Both Oliver and Sage are appealing characters on their own and cute, funny and sexy as a couple getting past their frenemies status and into a romance neither expected. The supporting characters are from the previous book and I enjoyed having them back, most notably Oliver’s father who had long before recognized the mating dance between Oliver and Sage.

Set mostly against a small town atmosphere, the story is a charming creation of two people who fall in love, greatly due to a very determined Oliver who soon becomes an expert in wooing and grand romantic gestures.

Claim My Baby is book #2 of the Dirty DILFs series by writing duo Taryn Quinn. It is a standalone romantic comedy, told from both points of view with a happily ever after, no cliffhanger.

Sage and Oliver have been frenemies for years now. Their digs and barbs at each other just a part of their lives. When Sage wins a trip to Vegas and her best friend talks Oliver into going along to keep an eye out for her, things heat up between them. But it’s all good because Sage is looking for someone to cash her v-card in to and Oliver is willing to take the job on.

I really enjoyed this cute story as this couple move from arguing to sexing it up and then screwing it up before making up. Both characters are likeable even in their own imperfections. Sage was stronger than originally expected and Oliver has a nerdy vibe going on that I absolutely loved.

While the pace felt a bit difficult to follow at times, the story was exactly what you’d want in between deeper, darker reads. This is laced with plenty of humor, lots of heart and enough steam to fog your ereader. My first read by these authors and I definitely need to check out more of their work.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book provided by NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Before you ask, no I didn't read the first one, but it wasn't necessary to enjoy this book. I don't know that I would call them enemies, but they sure did like to snipe at each other. They were in the bed a lot and I do mean a lot. Very nice epilogue.

A great start to somewhat predictable story.
I loved both the characters!
Their banter and love scenes were heartfelt!

Storytelling was pretty simple and straightforward.

For once I found the woman who didn't feel like 'hiding, not-sharing, keep secret' about her pregnancy and child from the father of the baby. I swear I find that plot IRRITATING and so unfair.

This was a light, fun read. The bickering between the MC's was very entertaining.

Sage's character was a bit unique. She comes off very innocent and naive but she also has strength. The further into her relationship with Oliver, the more of a backbone she showed. I like that she has diarrhea of the mouth. She was also pretty straightforward. That is refreshing in a virgin heroine. When she decided to have her first time with Oliver, she wasn't shy about asking to explore. The shy virgins who push away can be a bit much, so I really liked how the author approached Sage's character.

Oliver's character was just as entertaining and not the usual. The town seemed to lump him in as just a playboy but he really wasn't. He was jaded, mainly because of his parents but he almost came off kind of nerdy to me. He seemed to not be very good socially and that portrayed him as a jerk and kind of cold. He said the right things, just not in the right way which had others misinterpret him.

This isn't a story that is going to blow you away but it is a great read when you want fun and lighthearted. I actually thought both characters were refreshing. I really like this authors writing and will seek out more of her books. ARC provided by NetGalley.

This was one of my favorite cliche trashy romances that I’ve read this year. It made me chuckle and was pretty steamy at times, while the characters were just outrageous enough for me to love them. I’m going back to read the first book in the series now and I hope it’s equally as good.

I’ve been reading Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott, the writing duo that makes up Taryn Quinn, for many, many years and I’ve come to expect a lot from their work. I liked Claim My Baby, but for me it didn’t live up their normal standard of work. It was cute, at times really funny, and undoubtedly sexy, but it was missing that extra connection between the characters that I’ve grown to expect from them. It like going out for your favorite steak and it is perfectly seared with that seasoned crust but you never get into the juicy center. Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoyed Claim My Baby quite a bit, but I wanted more.

Sage and Oliver have been frenemies and have had a lot of contact with one another especially in the last year when Sage’s best friend and Oliver’s twin fell in love and got married, but a weekend in Las Vegas has them becoming friends, then lovers, with a consequence of epic proportions.

I went into this book already knowing the characters and I liked Sage a lot from the first book, but my opinion of Oliver was on the fence. Yes, he did a really great thing for his twin and now sister in law in the last book, but he gave off the air of being a pretentious pr*ck. It became quite evident early on that wasn’t the case and with each page I turned, I fell in love with him. My problem was that these two didn’t have a lot of background together other than constantly throwing unflattering barbs towards one another and since they really didn’t spend a lot of time in the getting to know you stage, it was hard to believe they fell in love without that. I also felt like the relationship was really one sided, that Oliver was putting much more time into trying to make things work that even when he said or did something not quite right I could forgive him because he really wasn’t getting the best feedback from Sage. I get that her whole life had been turned upside down and she was feeling out of sorts and a bit discombobulated, but she was really hard on Oliver even knowing he had a hard time expressing himself where feelings were concerned. Oliver continually was making gestures to make things better or to apologize and while towards the end Sage reciprocated, the only time she took initiative she ended up bringing her parents into the mix and then making Oliver feel bad for trying to give her what she wanted. So for a large part of this book, I had really mixed feelings about this pairing.

While not my favorite by these authors, Claim My Baby contained enough smart witted snark, a smidge of goofiness, Friends references which are never a bad thing, some steamy sexy times, and a lot of good old fashioned wooing making it fun to read.

If you have read the first book in the series Have My Baby you'll remember Oliver and Sage, Oliver is Seth's twin brother and Sage is Ally's best friend and co-worker at the diner. When I heard that Oliver and Sage were going to get their HEA I was pleasantly surprised, first because I really enjoyed these two in the first book and second because they hated each other and I knew this would be a great enemy to lovers story and it so was. I absolutely loved the banter between Oliver and Sage.

Man was it a mistake for me to read this.

Luckily, I knew it was a mistake going in, and I did it anyway. Because I had to know. And then I started the book and it was just as bad as I feared... and I still kept going because I had to watch the trainwreck end.

Just..wow.

Virgins are so boring. And I don't understand why so many of my bad decision reads feature a virgin. The first THIRD of the book is Sage complaining that she is a virgin. Over and over again, it is seriously all she cares about. She gets on a plane to Vegas because surely there someone can relieve her of this terrible not-burden.

She talks about how she failed to have sex before. She compares current situations to past

But I didn’t think I could use the word prick when there was a live-action one a few inches away. I couldn’t even be chill about it, because fully functional cocks were a rare bird in my life.
Sometimes being a virgin totally sucked. All right, all times.

Every time she thinks she is going to get close then doesn't. And then she complained about it

My pristinely hymenated state would continue.

And she is, so thirsty.

“You smell like cedar and musk.”
“Musk? That word is horrifying, right up there with moist.”
I frowned and finally pulled back, though I maintained my hold on him just in case the plane did make any sudden moves. “Not like…personal musk.” His eyebrow did that arching thing and I coughed into my hand. “Like the scent in men’s cologne. You know. It’s a proven fact that particular smell arouses most women.”

She even once complained about it when she had a man's cock deep into her throat. Woman, what the hell do you think you're doing? And then after that she goes "Yeah lets go to a Celine Dion concert now!" And they don't have sex and I'm fucking left baffled. This is after they dared each other to get in the jacuzzi together, even though we had already previously established she doesn't have a bathing suit.

Now, her best friend's husband's twin accompanies her on this journey. Which frankly is ridiculous but whatever. And they have been fighting with each other all their lives. And now they're kind of in this position where they realize they might kind of like each other anyway.

And then it still takes them 1/3 of the book to get it on. And then the condom breaks.

I swear this book is false advertising. I wanted baby. What I got was mostly a virgin complaining that she was a virgin, followed by a bit of sex, followed by Sage going full on irrational and Oliver just going along with it because he thinks he is in the wrong when really idk wtf Sage is going on about.

Frankly from the batshit nature of the first half of the book, the second half was just boring. I didn't run commentary on it to my friends at all after about the first half. There was just nothing to talk about. Everything went as planned. Except for the irrationality. But it also meant that there wasn't anything special about the second half.

All in all. Not really memorable.

And some more marvelous quotes:
*But you think it won’t be weird if he chokes the chicken in front of you? It’s practically the same thing, except you don’t get the O.*

“Okay? You’re not on the pill, are you?”
I shook my head. “For what? There were no invaders in my tunnel of love.”

I didn't think I could like this book more than Have My Baby , but I was so wrong. Oliver is my new crush. Totally cougaring right here. And don't even get me started on Sage.

Ah. Dorbs.

So let's talk about them, shall we?

Sage is a pretty big character in Have My Baby , but having her as the lead heroine in her own story is such a treat. She's pretty focused on losing her V-Card, although not to the exclusion of all else. Once she realizes there aren't any readily available male options as she's about to take her Vegas trip, she's resigned to spend it lounging and gambling.

Enter her nemesis and almost-brother-in-law, Oliver Hamilton. At Seth & Ally's urging, he agrees to "chaperone" Sage as she goes on her Vegas adventure. All three of them worry that she's too naïve and she'll be taken advantage of if she goes alone. It's insulting, but also kinda sweet. Not that they want Sage to know anything about it. Oliver just wants her to think he wants to be her friend and use the free trip to combine business with some "getting to know you" time.

Yesterday, I’d sent her flowers, and she’d returned a few of the petals with little smiley faces and hearts written on them. I had saved those petals and placed them in a shallow dish of water at home. The ink was half smeared off, but I didn’t care. It was the thought that counted.

That should've been Sage's first clue that something was fishy in the state of Denmark. (or whatever that idiom is). 😉 Once they land, they learn the meaning of "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas". Okay, not so much - because....

Yeah, you're not gonna get more than that from me. I'll just say this book was amazeballs, and that's saying something because I love all of Taryn & Cari's books.

I give Claim My Baby 5 ripped jeans stars.

Oliver and Sage

This book was much better story wise than the 1st one. Frenemies - they bicker all the time - then a trip to Vegas (she won it) and she’s a v - and whoops first time condom breaks a pregnancy. They don’t know she is pregnant and continue with a benefits relationship once they get home. Oliver is known as a player and Sage is falling but keeps this in her head. Oliver has gotten a bad rep that isn’t really as bad as people talk about and he’s starting to change his mind about forevers because of Sage. They find out she’s pregnant and he makes assumptions that they will get married without asking her. She breaks it off and he woos her with origami messages. She has fallen for him too. He starts putting things in motion for a forever and making her his wife. Tries to write message in snow but snow storm covers it up, she can read a little - then grand gesture he buys her family’s former Bed and Breakfast for them to both run.

Hea - wedding in Vegas with Elvis and a baby girl, hot scene 🔥🔥🔥 before wedding- dirty talk

Totally a fun, sexy, dirty talking read. Full of enough bantering back and forth as foreplay of two people that take a trip to Vegas, a Celine Dion concert, a visit to the chapel of love, to visit The King, learning how to play Baccarat, and win at it, OH! and losing your virginity...
Loved this story.

I enjoyed reading it!

After read the 1st story, of course I had to read how Oliver fell in love with Sage while they couldn't endure each other in the 1st story.

Although Sage was outspoken and Oliver was uptight, they did make a pair. Loved to read how they argue. Not to mention their chemistry.

Great epilogue!

Claim My Baby is Oliver Hamilton and Sage Evans story. Sage is Ally's best friend from bk.1 Have My Baby and Oliver is Seth's twin brother from bk.1.

Sage is a 25 year old virgin who has won a trip to Las Vegas. Oliver tags along to watch over her. He takes her virginity and the condom breaks.

The story is slow moving and the banter between the couple is juvenile. This story is Boring!!

Smutty but cute!!
Frenemies to lovers in a small town.... good girl (a little lonely because her parents decided to change their lives and more or less left her in their hometown) and bad-not-so-bad end up together in Las Vegas and get a nine-months surprise.
Drama? Angst? Definitely no!! The commitment phobic H turns into a tender alpha male and she discovers that she has always been in love with him...
Good side characters - a lot of fun - hot sex!

This was so funny, and I mean - laugh out loud funny! These characters were so freaking cute and Sage nearly had me rolling on the floor. Her sass, quirkiness and feisty zingers just made it so entertaining. She’s definitely a character I will remember. The “frenemy” relationship she and Oliver had was pure gold. The way they pushed each other’s buttons? It was obvious there was underlying sexual tension and chemistry to nearly everyone even if they were totally oblivious. In a way, it was their foreplay.

Sage is one of those females that knows what she wants, lives her life and makes no apologies. She has her insecurities, but she hides them well behind her bold personality. Oliver, on the other hand is her complete opposite. He’s darn near anal with his life. Everything has a checklist or schedule. He’s in a suit everyday and all business, all the time. Sage’s erratic, outspoken personality just gives him whiplash and there is something about her that just rubs him the wrong way...until they get close enough for her to rub him the right way. *if you know what I’m saying*.

As you would expect, they make a “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” pact and to their delight they become not only friends but so much more. Without their regular lives influencing how they react to each other, they take that time to really get to know one another and the typical “opposites attract” ends up being a much stronger connection neither anticipated.

This book was perfect for a easy read that got me laughing and lightened my mood and had a wonderful HEA that was perfect for their story. Taryn Quinn is a writing duo that has never disappointed. Their teamwork makes for great romance tales with wonderful, lifelike characters.

Hmm, it took me 4-5 days to read this book, but I could’ve sworn it took an eternity.

The book started out well enough.
The two main characters - Oliver and Sage - had an interesting dynamic. I was enjoying it, I wanted to learn more. I liked their banter.
Sadly, the progression of developing feelings felt forced and unnatural.

Honestly, the book was very dragged out. And was loaded with unnecessary content that weighed the story down. I had to force myself to flip through the pages.
Lots of internal monologue that didn’t move anything forward, it was tedious.

I can’t say I’d recommend this one.

I must admit that between the twins Oliver has won me over a bit more. This is a great lighthearted frenemies to lovers story, what happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay there. I love the banter between these two, you can’t help but chuckle. There’s always been that spark and as we go further into the story seeing it build stronger just makes me gitty and wanting to see what will happen next. Oh how I love Taryn Quinn's Dirty DILFs series....swoony alpha men, fun and flirty women and plenty of cherry-popping sexiness abound! Claim My Baby is book 2 in the series and it can be read as a complete standalone. It does give away spoilers from Book 1, Have My Baby, so if you haven't read that one yet, I do recommend going back to give it a read because it's fun and sexy and a great read! However, if you want to start with book 2, you can totally jump right in as the authors do a great job of filling in the blanks as to who the characters are and what their backgrounds are.

Claim My Baby centers on the virginal Sage Evans and her nemesis Oliver Hamilton, her best friend's brother-in-law. These two and their verbal sparring is solid gold! Quinn writes their back and forth banter brilliantly and it will have readers laughing out loud and snickering constantly. When Oliver takes Sage's virginity in Vegas, all bets are off and these two go at it HARD! Holy steamy scenes Batman!! <fans self> Seriously, Quinn can write deliciously sexy smuttiness with the best of them and I loved every second of it! But there's so much more to this story than just cherry popping, S-E-X and surprise pregnancies! There's a beautiful love story at heart---one in which the hero falls and falls hard! Yup, Mr. "I don't do relationships" topples like a tree in a forest only it takes him a while to truly see it! He's so suave and debonair on the surface but underneath, there's an awkward, uncertain side that peeks out every now and then as he bumbles his way through romantic gestures. It makes him more human and I loved this gawky, unexpected side of him. As Sage falls for Oliver, she becomes more and more confident in both her inner strength and in her independence. She is able to stand on her own and doesn't back down from the challenges she is facing.

Claim My Baby is a seductively fun and humorous read that will leave you feeling a bit flushed while sporting a huge smile. Taryn Quinn hit it perfectly with this story and I can't wait to read Who's The Daddy, Dirty DILFs Book 3 when it is released in May 2018! This dynamic writing duo has me hooked!

An alpha male, the woman he's babysitting, and a trip to Vegas. What could go wrong, right? After all, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas...until it doesn't.

So, remember back when HAVE MY BABY by the two lovely ladies that make up Taryn Quinn came out, and I was so pushing for a story for the best friend of the heroine and the brother of the hero? Ta dah! CLAIM MY BABY, the second book in the Dirty DILFs series by this duo is here, and just what I was looking for. Equal parts steamy and sweet, this book was full of passion, drama, and unexpected tenderness.

On the surface, Oliver Hamilton is all alpha, plenty of bark and bite, and way out of the virginal Sage Evans's league. But, wait, there's more. Because even some alphas have a hidden softer side, and Oliver's shines through when he allows himself to be talked into accompanying Sage on a trip to Vegas to keep her out of trouble. All well and good, until he turns out to be said trouble.

Sage may be inexperienced, but it takes about a minute for her inner sass to come to the forefront, making her a perfect foil for Oliver's Mr. Growlypants. In the words of TQ, "Choices were made. Alcoholic beverages were consumed." That's a surefire recipe for one heck of a life hangover if I've ever seen one, and the ladies do not disappoint. One thing leads to another, and, before you know it, like, whoa, all of the woulda-shoulda-couldas, friends.

These ladies write a romantic comedy to be proud of, with characters that are totally relatable, engaging, and human. I was pulling for Oliver and Sage from almost the very beginning, and I was not disappointed.

If rom-coms with a twist, with a side of sizzle and loads of pulling at the heartstrings are your thing, CLAIM MY BABY is just what the doctor ordered. 4.5 stars' worth of sass, snark, and just plain sexy times await. Grab this one and enjoy!

Holy hotness! Oliver and Sage are frenimes that explode once they actually talk to each other. Well, they do alot more than just talk.
I related to Sage because her self image wasn't nearly as flattering as it could be. She has had no luck in the romance department. Heck, she's not even really looking for romance, just a chance to get rid of her V card. And a trip to Vegas is the perfect opportunity to do just that. Her best friend sends Oliver along to watch over Sage and make sure she stays out of trouble. Oliver really doesn't want to go until he figures out what Sage is trying to do. His jealousy is a new thing but it gets him on the plane. He makes sure she has a companion at all times, namely Oliver. He does things with her that are totally out of character for him. And she appreciates each one, her view of him changing rapidly.
I loved this story! There are hard conversations that are so emeotional. There are times when I laughed so hard I woke up my husband. There were the "aww" moments were I wished I could be Sage. Oliver may have thought he failed at the over the top romantic gestures, but he succeeded in so many ways. There are times when I thought "did she just say that?" And yep, I totally would have too. If you couldn't tell, I adored Oliver and Sage. Don't let this one pass you by.

Frenemies is my catnip. The snarky banter and explosive passion makes it one of my favorite tropes, which is why I’ve been waiting anxiously for Sage and Oliver’s story. Their competition-level sparring in book one was positively intoxicating. I was hoping for major fireworks, and they delivered—both the steam and the snark.

Sage is one of those rare heroines you wish were one of your besties. The girl has no filter. What pops into her head flies straight out her mouth. Most often it’s a hilarious quip, a sexy taunt, or wiseass remark. Just one of the reasons I completely adore her.

Sage and Oliver are the perfect example of “opposites attract”. Her cheerful, somewhat clumsy guilelessness is utterly endearing and the perfect counter to his sober, three-piece suit wearing, all-business existence. She’s all spontaneity to his rigid control.

Sage’s eagerness to experience all the firsts, especially of the carnal variety, coaxes Oliver into loosening up a bit—except in the bedroom. There he’s in firm control, and Sage his willing pupil. He takes her from uninitiated and hesitant to confident and seductive, and it’s quite—ahem—exhilarating. Their heated clashes quickly erupt into fiery passion.

Claim My Baby is a snark lovers wet dream. It’s fun. It’s flirty. And it’s dirty in the most delicious way.
