Large format overview of worldwide disasters from 1902 to 1974. Some are familiar (the Titanic, The Halifax Explosion) and others are not ( a nightmarish high rise fire in São Paulo in 1974). European events receive slightly more coverage from this UK publisher. Did you know there was a transatlantic airship visiting Canada in 1930? — I just learned that.
